So the past few days I’d been binge reading A Certain Magical Index: New Testament because Genesis Testament has just started.
I completely f̲u̲c̲k̲e̲d̲ my sleep schedule again by staying up to 6am each day to read as much as possible.
Which has cause me to almost miss a few gacha logins teheee.
But man I really love the Raildex franchise.
I strongly suggest reading it. The first 10 or so novels have aged really poorly though.
The were written back in 2004 so it makes sense.
Magical Index basically established the settings and tropes of most of the novels that followed in its wake.
As a result the earlier novels feel really cliched, but in reality they weren’t at the time of publication.
Holy!
Have any of you guys been keeping up with the Babylonia anime?
Ishtar’s Noble Phantasm animation was legit!
I kind of wish I had a camera recording my face so I could have seen my expression!
I definitely broke into a huge grin when that started!
It was like IT’S HERE!
And then there was the Ereshkigal video call in the same episode! She’s so adorable!
Heya~! Happy Valentines (+1 day) to everyone!
I actually translated a story for Valentines yesterday, so if you have the time, feel free to read the short story~!
Well then, in our usual chapter update, we can now see the continuation of the battle!
After the barrier broke, how will they handle Carol’s bombardment of sorcery?
Will Carol absolutely wreck them with her professional sorcerer experience?
Will our Princesses develop some random ability and break the limits of humanity?
Will they finally get out of the guild and get a well deserved sleep in the comfort of a proper bed?
Find out now, in this update: A Heated Battle and ……!
Please feel free to comment, as always, and I hope you have an enjoyable read and a nice day!
Happy Valentines! I know, I know. I’m a day late for most of you. It’s the best I could do.
Anyways, what? A 0.5 chapter? What’s the deal with these? Shh, listen. It’s basically side stories or different perspectives. I advise you to never skip these. It’s very “intriguing”.
This chapter in particular… I will not say anything. Just read it.
Happy Valentines Day everyone!
Today isn’t really the usual Princess update, but a new one chapter story to celebrate this fourteenth day of the second month! I decided on doing this because one shot novels aren’t really usually translated and I wanted to share a story would fit the occasion. So this time, following the theme of the day, I present a gift, a story of love~!
But of course, as you should expect from me, this is a Girls Love story~!
Now, feel free to comment and, as always, I hope you have an enjoyable read and a nice day!
Happy Valentine everyone! Hope you’re having a great time with your loved ones on this blessed day.
Today, we bring to you a new teaser project brought to you by FrozenFirez, our newly hired Chinese Translator on probation. This is the novel recommended to us by the Wild Lurker when we just started our Project Gender Bender six to seven months ago. It is to our greatest joy that we have finally reached the stage where we’re able to bring the translation of this web novel to the world.
Same with “How can the Saintess be a Boy!?,” this will be another teaser project for now. In due date, we will put up a vote and let the readers choose which of the teaser novels should we continue to translate. For now, enjoy the read.
So recently someone came into the Discord asking if they could translate a series into Spanish.
Some talking happened, and that got me thinking about editing and whatnot.
You see, a lot of choices are made when translating, and while editing (which is the main difference between it and proofreading).
Every westernization, TL note, etc. is a choice made by someone who is not the original author.
These choices can add up to something very different from what was originally intended. The easiest more modern example would be Dragon Ball’s Goku, I suppose. See, in the Japanese version, he’s more of a country bumpkin who likes fighting, while in the dub he’s more akin to Superman, fighting for justice.
Editorial choice is also why there are so many different versions of Shakespeare’s plays. We don’t actually know what he wrote, we just have many different recordings of the plays, made by different people (including some knockoff street performances made for the masses). Some of the recordings don’t even come from people who saw the play, but were in the background of it. It doesn’t help that Shakespeare probably also edited his own plays over the years too.
And the side-story goes on and on~
From the look of it, this one should be the last though! If not, then maybe the next in Cortina and co’s Point of View.
I did a damage check today following that storm. While there’s no real problems exactly……we did lose a large percentage of our garden fences.
It’s not a big loss since most of the fence was falling apart anyway and was in the process of being replaced, and half of it had already been switched out for a type of fence impossible to blow over.
So it’s a bit of a mess in the garden but there’s no real loss.
On another note, I think I’ve finally got around the problem I had with starting that novel I said I was going to write after I abandoned that other novel I said I was going to write.
I’ve started work on the first couple of chapters, and I’m going to adjust them and such until I feel like they’re in a position I can build a story off.
I hope you’re all looking forward to it. Because I’m not. Nervous.
