The Future of Re:Library

First of all, allow me to thank all the Patrons for your continuous support. Because of your support, a new dream has opened up for us and the future of Re:Library looked brighter than ever. It was because of your support that I was able to hire a translator to take over my project and focuses on my next project. So allow me to express my sincerest gratitude to all my current patrons, to-be patrons, and past patrons. Honestly, thank you all so much for your warm support!

With that in mind, my next plan in line is to execute the same strategy for all my following projects! As you can see by now, I have added new tiers in my Patreon account. The “Early Access to New Chapters” has been changed to “Demon Sword Maiden”, and there is now a new tier called “Dragon Princess” and another one called “DSM+DP”.

As you have guessed, if you subscribed to Demon Sword Maiden, you will only gain access to early chapters for Demon Sword Maiden, and same goes for Dragon Princess if you subscribed to that tier. To show your support for both novels and gain early access to both, you can subscribe to DSM+DP, which comes with a 17% discount.

So long as there are enough subscribers for Dragon Princess, I will start looking for a hired translator to pick up my 2nd project and begin working on the 3rd project. If this plan works, not only will we continue to get a steady supply of ongoing Gender Bender series, we will be able to bring more Gender Bender series to the spotlight!

We will keep going until one day, Re:Library turns into your one-stop for majorities of the Chinese Gender Bender series!

But of course, a dream remains a dream, whether this plan works or not entirely depends on you, the readers, the patrons, and of course, the hired translators. The future of Re:Library is in your hands! Quite literally so, as you will be the one to decide the path Re:Library takes going forward.

If it works, we’ll get more great series to read and expand the bookshelves of Re:Library. If it doesn’t work, I’ll just continue working on the same project until my interest waned and pick a new project. Either way works fine for me, no harm done, there’s no need to feel pressured to increase your pledge amount. The only concern I have is in regards to the hired translators. Finding a hired translator is not easy, and all this planning will be for naught if the hired translator suddenly goes MIA without notice.

P.S. The first 10 Chapters of Dragon Princess will be available to all tiers as a bonus.

  1. So first of all, congratulations on the sites advancement!
Would it help to put notice on chapters to help gain the attention of readers coming from novelupdates? I suspect that a lot of readers might not know about how they can help expand the project.

Secondly, I am derp and only just now realized that Patreon payments are anonymous. Which is a way to say that I am a silly person and I’m on my way to make a Patreon account after this post.

That being said, I do see that there is a voting system up in place on Patreon, but there has been no talk/vote on what could be the third project, at least from what I’ve seen
And well, I do have a suggestion, 我转生就超神 (http://book.sfacg.com/Novel/210448/)
I do tend to poke around of SFACG on machine translation, and this is one I’ve been following on there.
And so far, it’s been a really fun read and quite an interesting story, even on machine translation.
Also, I think it’s going into a VIP story this month, and buying chapters to struggle to get mostly sensible writing out of is kinda eeh.

The MC in the story suddenly finds himself three years in the past after being killed, right before the release of a full immersion game. But he happens to know that the game if far more than a mere game and is a fully fledged world in its own right, and that the system works by projecting souls, and that players will gradually begin to gain the abilities of their characters in the real world, and that the game world will eventually merge with the real one.
    Or something like that.

So he resolves to get in at the very start. And right at the start he gets a female only skill during character creation, and the system decides to ‘fix’ the problem be changing his soul.
He/She works to become the strongest in the the game, while also working to get rare items or skills that will allow abilities to be brought back quicker to deal with pre-existing and new danger in the real world.

It’s really been a great read even under the limitations of machine translation.

I don’t know if you have anything in mind for the next project, but I think it could be a strong choice that is absolutely worth considering. So I guess that’s my project recommendation.

Anyways fingers crossed for the future, and I’m off to the Patreons!
And hey, if you need a bit more, I’m sure that more than a few of us would be willing to give out more to help make the Re:Library dream into a reality.

    1. And yes, that was immediate non-spoiler background information. Just wanted to clarify that.
The game is a fantasy one, by the way.

    2. Would it help to put notice on chapters to help gain the attention of readers coming from novelupdates? I suspect that a lot of readers might not know about how they can help expand the project.

Well, I did add them as “Important Links” under the redirect posts, so I would assume that people who are interested would take note of them.

Secondly, I am derp and only just now realized that Patreon payments are anonymous. Which is a way to say that I am a silly person and I’m on my way to make a Patreon account after this post.

Oh, thanks for the pledge. Hope you won’t be disappointed by your choice 🙂

That being said, I do see that there is a voting system up in place on Patreon, but there has been no talk/vote on what could be the third project, at least from what I’ve seen

Wow, already talk about the 3rd project when there’s hardly any supporter yet for the 2nd project? We’re jumping the gun here xD

And well, I do have a suggestion, 我转生就超神

Thanks, that sounds really interesting and I might just add it to my project list.

I don’t know if you have anything in mind for the next project, but I think it could be a strong choice that is absolutely worth considering. So I guess that’s my project recommendation.

I actually already have something in mind, but as usual, I only pick based on the synopsis and cover art, so your recommendation is very welcome 🙂

And hey, if you need a bit more, I’m sure that more than a few of us would be willing to give out more to help make the Re:Library dream into a reality.

Well, I put $3 minimum as the pledge amount because I know plenty of people out there who wants to support the translator but is unable to offer too much. For those who want to donate more, you can actually edit the pledge amount, though not many people actually did that.

      1. Your are welcome, and I’m glad to hear that my recommendation was helpful.

And I don’t think I’ll disappointing in supporting you. I would rather like to see your dream for Re:Library come true, given it’s hoped focus on a genre I have a fairly significant interest in. Plus you’ve been pretty transparent in what everything is going towards,

I don’t think it’s wrong to be optimistic and look forward. There might be not a lot of supporters on DP yet, but supporters came out for DSM, so I don’t see why people won’t back DP as well. It may take a little time, but it’ll get there. I mean, someone backed you not long after I did! Just keep doing status updates now and then, as that really helps draw people in, and quantifying the benefits made possible through supporters goes a long way in keeping and gaining support.

And, well, depending on how things go for me in the near future, I’m considering going a bit above the $5 level.

Again, thanks for your hard work on the site and projects, and best of luck moving forwards.

  2. Well whenever I scrounge up some spare cash I will definitely send it your way! Sounds like a great plan you have here.

    1. This plan does require a lot of commitment from everyone involved. It’d be great if everything works out smoothly, but don’t force yourself to make a pledge if you don’t have the capital to spare 👍
