I have to go to a party tomorrow with my parents, I’ve decided to take my kindle with me.
Or at least that was my plan, until I realised I actually only have one unread physical light novel left.
So I’m gonna take that with me to finish it off so I can add it to my shelfffff…. somehow.
I uh, ran out of novel shelf space again.

Also, Amazon cancelled my order of on of my Arpeggio preorders.
I guess they delayed it so far back Amazon was like “sorry, we’ll just refund”.

I’m doing this set of editing with the Blue Archive OST playing and it’s decided to reach a plethora of the depressing emotional tracks.
Really doesn’t match the mood of these chapters at all, it’s a bit funny really.

Anyway, I heard the new DnD movie is actually really decent, so I’ve decided I might try to go watch it.
I haven’t been to the cinema to watch a movie in about a year, I think the last time I went was…

Before that one though it had been genuinely multiple years since I went.

Do you know a trope I love?
It’s when the most ordinary member of a group is the most broken.
How to explain it…

It’s like imagine a group of superheroes and there’s one guy who is just the logistics manager, he’s not powerful in anyway, doesn’t have any super tech.
He’s just, in charge of managing the heroes.
And yet he always manages to work out what is going on where perfectly and manages to thwart it just be sending out other people to do his bidding.

That type of thing.
Bad example, but I can’t think of a better one now.

The Princess Connect PR disaster wreck continues.
This time with them releasing the 6 star ascension for a new character.
By the way, it’s literally impossible to complete this ascension, without spending currency, before the server shutdown. Completely pointless.

Also they removed the seven shut down gacha games they had from their website, trying to hide their crimes and incompetence now to new fans.
Literally, they have 11 games, 4 are running, 7 are closed.
That is not a good look to have on your website.

There is only one chapter left of Hero Redo and it will be fully translated this month, the Patrons will now be able to read all the translated chapters on Project Gender Bender Patreon page, but free users will have to wait until 13th July before they are available to the public. In lieu of Hero Redo, the translator will now be working on Destiny Unchain Online.

Now we understand there is currently a machine translator publishing this series, we also mentioned this when we put this up for the poll, but the majority still voted for this regardless. And after comparing the three versions of this chapter, I have to say I agree with the assessment. Machine translator still can’t triumph over a human translator, not now at least. There are some mistakes, misunderstanding, tone, and nuances that a machine can’t pick up.

AI is now in full throttle and is taking away jobs from many translators, there is nothing we can do to stop it. Heck, big companies are even considering firing human translator for cheap labor and using AI to do the jobs. I know a few companies that are already doing this and the results are not pretty. It is my firm belief that AI is still not ready to do a full translation job, they are not bad as a proofreading tools, but I still wouldn’t trust a machine to translate my book any time soon.

Don’t you hate clickbaity news articles?
I got one sent to my phone that was like The Indian Space Research Organisation successfully conducted the Reusable Launch Vehicle Autonomous Landing Mission!

And the article literally just said The Indian Space Research Organisation successfully conducted the Reusable Launch Vehicle Autonomous Landing Mission but in a longer paragraph format, and then ended with a quote from the IRO saying how they had successfully conducted the test.
Nowhere in the article told me what the test was or what this means.
I mean I can tell from context and general knowledge roughly what was going on, but still, such poor form writing among journalists these days.

I spent most of today playing Blue Archive trying to clear content I had leftover for gems to use on the gacha.
They did just release two characters I like so, though both are going to be added to the regular pool as well.
I’ll just have to decide I guess how much I value them.

Probably better for me to save for the three upcoming limited ones we’re about to get.
Those being the gym uniform versions and Himari.
Himari being both meta and my favourite makes things easy.
