My computer started making weird noises again, I don’t know if it’s just the heat, or a components dying or if that noise is just normal and I’ve only really started to pay attention to it.
If I vanish it’s because my computer exploded and murderised me.
On that note though I do have a new PSU to install, and a new GPU on the way!
So maybe after I switch those in my problem will be solved?
Who knows.
Well buying that GPU set back my plans a lot to get some art done of my OC though. Which is annoying to say the least.
Oh and all my savings are gone which will be a little bit of a problem if I suddenly get charged for shipping on the many things I have preordered.

You know I am actually starting to run out of things to write for these pre-chapter rambles as of late.
There’s only so much I can say you know.
I am responsible for scheduling seven chapters a week now, and I like to ensure that all my pre-chapter rambles are entirely unique at least to the week they were posted unless it’s important news.
But I’m also a complete shut in with a rather rigid routine so nothing overly unique happens to me that often that is particularly relevant to you guys.
I can rant about my figures and stuff all day but I only order them every so often.
If anything I think it’s amazing I held on this long. Oh and for the record, I still have other rambles I could have used instead of this one but opted instead to ramble about getting close to running out of rambles.
My new anime figure arrived this week, for those of you who may not be keeping track the exact one in question is Nemesis from Infinite Dendrogram.
I used to be an avid reader of that series but I lost my place in the limited time chapter releases I got as part of J-Novels membership and starting over would require buying all the volumes I previously read so I kept delaying it to start new franchises instead.
However I still mostly consider myself a fan and Nemesis IS waifu material.
I wish I had my own AI companion.
Reincarnating as an AI would be fun too.
Also Silva installed this plugin thing and it keeps trying to tell me I should write 600 words for this pre-chapter rambles but I think that’s completely overkill.
Less is more in these cases.
I’ve been reading a novel where one of the kingdoms is one of this super high-tech magic nations with sort of pseudo-modern technology based on magical engineering.
I’d really love a story like that, or to build such a kingdom myself if I got isekaid.
But I think an interesting background for one could be like a sort of Atlantis style one, but with their advanced technology they spread their hegemony far and wide!
Only to collapse or regret their atrocities and go into isolationism.
Then a hundred years later or so they begin to reach out to the backwards cilvizations left on the foreign lands they once conquered.

Anyway I’ve got really stuck in to Satisfactory, and I’m looking forward to how this game evolves in the future too!
I’ve been enjoying noticing the little differences from older lets plays. And I have to say all the changes made are really well thought out.
My only complaint is the increased demand for water in the newer updates making the “easy” starting spot ironically more difficult.
For example, coal power used to only need coal but now it needs coal and water. There’s only two viable sources of water in the newcomer suggested starting zone.
Well it wasn’t too much of a problem for me because I went exploring and stuff and found an ideal spot for me. You should watch my backlog on twitter and enjoy my adventure with me!

Satisfactory is a weirdly addictive game, however since I am now getting into the thick of the midgame I am noticing some minor problems I have with this game.
Specifically I will never want to restart. Once I do, eventually, after a long time, unlock everything I will never want to go back to the start. I guess at that point I will have to either move my base of operations elsewhere to ‘start over’ in a new part of the map but keep my unlocks and main base.
Or move to multiplayer where the experience of cooperation will take away from the pain of losing my stuff.
Everything is always more fun with friends.
Notably horror games. I can’t for the life of me play them alone but the instant it’s multiplayer it’s just dumb fun!
I just want to take this pre-chapter ramble to mention that the new translator for this uses a different font now and I still end up weirded out.
Also my Nemesis figure should be arriving soon! Like next week soon!
I also have this like anime business card thing coming soon that I spent waaaaay too much on for postage but eh whatevs.
I was watching Misfit of Demon Academy and they constructed this castle out of magic for a duel.
“That Castle as a really odd shape with a long keep and twin towers at the front, wonder if that’s deliberate.” I thought to myself.
Later on they go to use their ultimate magic attack.
“It’s not gonna be something cliche like they manifest a giant cannon between the towers is it?” Promptly begins to construct a giant artillery cannon in the middle of the castle
Ah yes. This is why I still watch dumb fun cliche anime.
The entire scene was just “THEY ACTUALLY DID IT! THAT’S SO COOL!”
I am a sucker for big cannons like that. The bit in Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere where they install the gravity cannon and then do a flip in that giant ship to punch a hole through the enemies formation was such an unf moment in the novels. I’m glad they animated it a bit in the finale celebration OVA.
Rather than using my pre-chapter ramble to talk about important things like anime updates, novel releases, world news or other boring things; I’m gonna shamelessly advertised here.
When this chapter goes live I am probably in the middle of streaming on twitch. Assuming I haven’t gone for a dinner break. Might have done that.

Would you guys suggest I commission some art of my original characters or continue saving for a potential GPU upgrade?
Or a bit of both, save some money for the GPU and get one piece of art done but skip out on some new games for a bit?

My rating of Satisfactory is that it is satisfactory.
Well I managed to get a bit further in, according to the guides I’m still in the early game though. Ha.
My current bottleneck is POWAH.
However I recently researched the ability to make coal power plants! So my next step is to find coal.

Does any remember that time I wanted to write a novel about a fantasy world in the middle of an industrial revolution?
That is in fact the same novel I used Chloe, from Alchemist, as a character reference.
I forgot which novel my pre-chapter ramble about that was on so you’ll just have to make do if it wasn’t DSM and you didn’t read that other novel.

But IDOLM@STER just celebrated 15 years!
This is probably my favourite idol franchise despite never playing the games, but the original 765PRO group of girls are some of the most memorable characters I’ve ever come across.
I actually have figures of Miki, Iori and Chihaya.
They won out over the Love Live trio of Umi, Eli and Maki that were also contending for the idol slot on my shelf.
Speaking of anime figures, my Nemesis figure from Infinite Dendrogram shipped recently.
This is the last figure for the year (unless I order another one). My next figure is the Fate Anniversary Rin who I won’t be seeing for over a year.
That Rin figure is special because it’s the first figure I own to violate my ‘canon or iconic outfit only’ rule for figures.
Anyway I bet most of you skipped this because we all want the resolution to our collective bloodthirst!
I bought Satisfactory today.
I’m not very good at it.
But I guess it’s one of those slow start games? I dunno the game seems to be entirely about automation but it feels really hands on currently.
Although I guess I know what’s limiting me most currently.
I’ll keep throwing myself at it and see how things work out though!
Part of the problem is the way I play games like this is so inefficient and in a game about optimisation that does not mesh well.
