Strangely it feels like my room has started to fall apart recently.
This week alone I have had two incidents:
The last two of my remaining coat hooks spontaneously snapped off overnight.
My headset cushioning has started to come off entirely and is merely held in place by friction and force of will.
The only thing in perfect condition is my door handle because that broke in the middle of last year and has been replaced.
I am entirely unsure as to what to put for this ramble to honest.
Oh right!
My friends persuaded me to resub to ffxiv so I can experience the story I have been skipping since Endwalker released.
To be honest, it was mostly one friend, but it’s kind of hard to say no to her.
I only intend to play it sporadically though, I have other games to focus on these days, like GFL2!
The POV character for this chapter is amusing.
His family name is Haggard.
It just made me imagine him as some really tired old man, it was just that kind of name.
I want you to keep that in mind, that’s all.

The new year is upon us, so we’re starting it by depriving me of sleep.

I have had brighter moments.
For some reason this post failed to post… and now I am remaking it in a rush before the deadline… yay!
I think the original pre-chapter ramble here was about the twitter arguments about The Odyssey and what translation to read.
I don’t remember what one I read at school, but it wasn’t Wilson.
Also I saw a funny post about “Finally, a localiser problem but for normies” which made me laugh.
I somehow ended up on the weird side of vtuber fan documentation and I had to laugh at how US centric enough this fanbase is that they felt the need to specify in quotes that one British vtuber “went halfsies” on the payment of their microphone.
Is that really a Britishism?
To her credit, 2000 is a lot for a microphone…
This is the final Christmas chapter for this novel!

I’m having mixed feelings about this story so far.
This chapter especially.
There are some good ideas here, but I feel like the tropes so far have been better executed by similar stories instead of this one.
I’ll see how it progresses, but I am starting to lose interest.
I made a lot of errors editing and scheduling this chapter.
In my defence, I am half asleep and totally exhausted.
I am planning to prepare for Christmas ahead of time if things will be like this…
Actually… I should check what the christmas schedule is looking like… that’s a good idea…
This chapter is basically repeating content but from the protagonists POV.
Can’t say I am a particularly big fan of repeating things this way, I tend to prefer when repeats offer new insights…
So from other characters point of views where they have unique knowledge or positions.
Does that make sense?
I usually prefer a bit of a delay too.
Do Arknights players still have that weird beef with Girls Frontline players?
I mean, outside of the corporate drama behind the two games.
I just thought of it because I saw the Endfield content start to trickle out, and back when that was announced there was this big thing between GFL2 and Endfield both being 3D games with similar “vibes” and which would release first (spoilers, it was GFL by what is looking like will be two whole years at this rate).
So I usually buy some snacks and drinks to bring me through the week…
But I have finished my supply for this week ahead of schedule.
I could, of course, just go and buy some more right?
But I like to use my weekly discounts to optimise my spending…

Oh, but I did get reminded of that amusing comment someone made once on a chapter of an older novel, complaining about my asinine commentary and trying to deconstruct my random musing footnotes as if I was trying to seriously critique the story I was reading or something.
I enjoyed the fact that they got downvoted quite a lot in the responses… I felt validated.
It’s been stormy here in the UK the past couple of days.
Luckily for me it’s not in my region at all, but it’s still been pretty windy.
I heard on the news it’s caused a lot of damage along the coast on the effected side though, and there have been plenty of accidents.
For the most part it’s just been cold and wet here though, nothing major.
