So I went to compare it with the original design, and wow the magical girl was a big upgrade.
So I went and mentioned that in discord.
Then I remembered there was another situation like this, and I had to go looking, but I didn’t have to looking for it because behold! In my youtube recommendations was the thing I wanted to find, the Porter Robinson song done for the Star Guardian alt-verse for League.

So yes, my conclusion is that video games can instantly elevate a character’s design just by turning them into a magical girl. Do with this information what you will.

One thing that I would love to own is some kind of… fitness apparatus to help me stretch.
I have no space for it, and I don’t even need a device to do that, but I just feel like if I had a proper device for it I would be compelled to do proper stretches.

I haven’t really been reading these, just skimming them.
But this really reminds me of that one solo duty in Final Fantasy XIV, during the build up to Shadowbringers, where the alliance are fighting the empire.
I forget which NPC you play as, but you basically have to fight the previous final boss as an npc, and your objective is “Survive until the player character can reach you”.
And there’s such a weird sense of pride and catharsis from the fact you get live updates of your characters progress as they bull rush through an entire battlefield to resolve your fight…

I started trying to actually organise the D&D campaign that my friends have been asking me to run for a while.
We will have to see if it gets off the ground. I don’t have high hopes.
I may end up running for others though, just because I can. I put a lot of work into copying over my extra rules and homebrew.
I will have to explore other good homebrews honestly.

I have two ongoing art commissions right now, it’s interesting to watch them, like a race.
One had a headstart but is now losing because the other artist went from concept sketch to lineart in one day. Crazy stuff.

Well, it’s not actually a race, but I just felt like commenting on it because it’s novel for me to have two artists that do regular updates working on comms at the same time, usually I have one slow artist which only sends milestone updates as a kind of background comm while a more frequent updater is the main one.

I finished transcribing all the races and subclasses from my current anime material into my character sheet software for DnD.
Now I need to start work on the items and spells.
There’s actually quite a variety of these, I was impressed by some of them.
It was nice to see there were a couple of katana themed ones, I know that statistically you just use the longsword stats for them, but there’s something good about having thematically different weapons… Well, it was to save on weapon proficiency types… I know but… streamlining can ruin fun too!
