Skill Name Invisible Move
Type Enchantment Channeler Skill
Description Turns the caster invisible for a set duration. The caster cannot be targeted by Mobs. The effect is dispelled upon attacking a Mob.

Late one night, Susie used her skills to disappear and made her way into the woods.

Before exiting, she switched to D Rank equipment and used her skills to exit through a window. Because she was undetectable while the skill was active, Susie moved deep into the forest without being noticed—neither by the residents of the Cloud household nor by the villagers standing guard in the woods that night.

Fifteen minutes after leaving home, she arrived at the watering hole where her last camp had been set up. The location lay roughly 20 kilometers away from the village.

“It’s been less than a week since then… yet it feels so long ago.” She murmured with emotion, standing at the spot where she’d last raised her tent, her gaze fixed on the flowing river.

“This is where I changed into the Village Girl’s Everyday Clothes.”

With that, she changed her equipment from her D Rank gear to the Village Girl’s Everyday Clothes.

The Village Girl’s Everyday Clothes item, which had been torn by the rabbits during an earlier encounter and left in tatters from running through the forest, had since been washed and repaired with Elrose’s impeccable needlework.

“I get emotional when I change clothes like this,” she murmured, stroking the mended areas as she inspected them.

Afterward, she switched to the nightgown she had worn in her room.

“Well then, why was I able to store this nightgown in my Inventory?!”

She had attempted to store countless items in her inventory before, only to fail each time. Slaughtered Mobs, small items, clothes, shoes, tools, and even a slice of cherry pie—all of them had been impossible to store.

Susie removed her nightgown and stripped down to just a pair of shorts. Holding the nightgown in her hands, she tried once more to store it in the Inventory but failed again.

Finally, after putting the nightgown back on, she switched to her D Rank gear. This time, the nightgown and shorts were stored together in the Inventory as a set.

“So it seems I can put in new things as long as I interchange them with something I already have stored1.”

Saying that, Susie switched back to her Village Girl’s Everyday Clothes.

“I was also able to store that jar event item after filling it with water. I haven’t tried it yet, but if I place an item inside the jar, I might just be able to store the jar.”

With a determined look, Susie attempted to switch to her G0 weapon. She then cycled through her gear, switching from A to D Rank equipment. Finally, she unequipped her weapon and was left unarmed.

“It seems both the storage capacity and weight restrictions are completely gone. Maybe the items themselves don’t even exist? Like they’re a piece of data stored somewhere…”

She said, equipping both her G0 swords. The two vicious-looking swords materialized in Susie’s hands instantly.

“Just the word data makes me feel like I’m inside the game again, but I wonder about that. The Inventory is such a mystery. I can’t figure it out now. That’s enough. I’ll deal with it later! Starting tomorrow!”

With that, she changed back into her nightgown and struck a triumphant victory pose.

“Tonight’s main focus is Magic Training!”

Susie said, taking out a weapon from her Inventory and equipping it. The weapon was known as the Beginner’s Dagger. This was one of the starting pieces of equipment available at the beginning of the game.

“This one has the lowest magic attack value of all the weapons I own… but the baton I used earlier today was much, much weaker. If I can get that one, I’ll use it next time.”

Holding the dagger in her hand, she gradually infused it with Mana.

“Hmm… It’s easier to channel Mana when using this one.”

She aimed at the center of a tree on the opposite bank and unleashed her Magic.

Skill Name Air Strike
Description Fire a compressed air bullet at a target.

Air Strike was a basic offensive skill available to all Magic jobs. It was a wind-based attack spell that fired compressed air bullets at a target. The tree struck by the air bullet had a circular section gouged out of its trunk, approximately one to two meters in diameter. The upper portion of the tree collapsed with a resounding crack, pulling down surrounding trees as it fell to the ground.

A Mob perched on one of the branches, waiting for the right moment to attack, was obliterated by the direct hit from the air bullet.

“That’s ridiculous power given that I’m using the weakest gear and Magic. Let me try again, this time using as few Mana as possible.”

Susie muttered to herself. She envisioned channeling just a single drop of magic into the weapon, as she had earlier. Another Mob was struck with precision, a massive hole tearing through its torso. Its body was shredded in two and fell lifeless to the ground.

“I’m producing this much power even when I hold back as much as I can. Isn’t there a way to make it weaker? I suppose it all boils down to training.”

The surrounding trees shook as the commotion drew the attention of nearby Mobs.

“Yellow Apes. From what I recall, those weren’t here before. There are also 20 of them. A herd, it seems. They must’ve come from deeper within the forest. Only one thing to do then!”

Susie said with determination, recalling the other reason for coming to this area. Howard had told Susie that Demonic Beasts from the middle layers and deeper had begun emerging. And that if they invaded, the village would have to eliminate them.

Previously, the Mobs had nearly wiped out the village due to Susie’s mistake. If a strong Demonic Beast from the outer regions had exploited that gap, it would’ve caused serious harm to the village. Susie felt a sense of responsibility to prevent such a disaster.

Focusing her energy, she channeled a bit more Mana this time and aimed directly at the center of the herd before releasing the spell.

Numerous trees in the forest were toppled over a wide area. The destruction followed the path of an enormous air bullet, up to 10 meters in diameter, that had carved through the landscape. Most of the herd was obliterated, engulfed in the blast.

Even those not directly hit by the air bullet were wiped out—the sheer wind pressure ripped them apart and scattered them, along with the trees.

“What destructive power! I didn’t even use that much Mana?! Isn’t «Air Strike» supposed to be a single-target spell?! Doubling the Mana shouldn’t double its power! This is bad! If I don’t learn to control my power, I’ll end up destroying the village!”

The thought of her carelessness leading to the village being reduced to ruins made Susie’s stomach turn.

“I got it! Maybe the reason the spell I used at the top of the mountain was so overpowered was because I used too much Mana. If it was that strong with a sword that doesn’t even have high Magic aptitude, what would’ve happened if I’d used a staff? This is bad! I shouldn’t use any other elemental-burst spells of that level. If I mess up, I might end up destroying planets! I’ll become just like Freeza! No way! I’m sealing it! I’m never using that again!”

Susie was so distressed that she clutched her chest, taking deep breaths to calm herself.

“For now, I won’t use any of my higher offensive spells. If I need to cast something, I’ll stick to the Spirit Magic taught in school and focus on the basics. To improve control, I’ll use weak magic here and practice adjusting it little by little.”

Spirit Magic was a type of magic that called upon the power of spirits to cast spells. It required a small amount of Mana but could produce amazing results.

In contrast, the spells Susie used felt as though she was directly manipulating etheric information.

The Mana consumed was much greater than that of Spirit Magic, and its effects were significantly more potent. The varying results, depending on the increase or decrease in Mana used, were evident in her recent demonstration.

Susie speculated that for the people of this world, directly manipulating etheric information would be extremely difficult given their limited Mana pool.

In this world, quantifying Mana or MP into numbers didn’t seem particularly meaningful.

However, if she were to do so, she estimated that most people had no more than 20 MP at best. Henry, for instance, likely had around 15 MP. Beatrice, Mia, and the others probably had about 5 or 6.

Spirit Magic, being highly efficient, could function with as little as 1 MP. This meant Beatrice and her friends could potentially cast spells five or six times a day.

“No, wait… Maybe the consumption is even less. Close to 0.5 or 0.6 MP per cast.”

In contrast, the spell Susie used required far more MP. For example, the «Air Strike» she had used earlier, which was classified as one of the weakest spells in her arsenal, with the lowest MP consumption, still cost 15 MP to cast. For the people of this world, using such spells would be nearly impossible with their limited MP reserves.

Susie was certain that Mia and Beatrice wouldn’t even be capable of using such Magic.

To put things into perspective, Susie assumed her MP was likely in the five-digit range due to passives from her Magic Job.

“It’s near infinite…” she muttered, feeling a mild dizziness as she pressed her fingers to her forehead.

The reality of being in a world governed by fundamentally different principles weighed heavily on her.

“Well, I’ll just have to adjust as I go along. It sounds like a lot of work, but I have to make it work!”

As long as she lived in this world, there was no choice but to conform to its common sense.

Her goal was to blend in as an unremarkable commoner. To achieve that, she would need to find ways to remain as inconspicuous as possible, minimizing her presence and ensuring she didn’t stand out.

“Now then, I don’t want to be too late. First I’ll have a quick look around, and after that… maybe I’ll treat myself to a reward. I am in an open, unpopulated area, after all. Hehe.”

Susie’s cheeks flushed slightly, and she squirmed a little, her inner thighs pressed together.

“Alright! Let’s get this over with! Let’s do it!”

Unable to contain her excitement any longer, she suddenly dashed off. She looked quite restless to do something. Looking at Susie acting like this, one would wonder if she was really serious about restraining herself.

  1. Robinxen: You know reading this made me realise something, I don’t think I have ever read a novel that has gone into detail with something like someone trying to work out how many inventory slots their skill has… it’s usually either kept vague, given in exact measurements, or just treated as infinite.
