Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 67

I have weak tear glands, I always found myself tearing up whenever I watch Fairy Tail, even in scenes that not actually remotely tear-jerking. My eyes will get wet just from the sight of a character crying on the other side of the screen.

Although I do have to admit that Fairy Tail, despite being shunned by some fans for whatever reason, has great characters development. Because otherwise, there’s just no way you’d be able to invoke tears in the audience if the characters have a shallow background. I once wished I could reach that level of writing one day, where my fiction could move the readers with an emotional roller coaster.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 66

I think I might need another editor for Demon Sword Maiden soon. I mean, I don’t have a problem with the current editor, he does great and high-quality work, but he also has other commitments so he works on the slow side. I’m thinking that maybe I should hire another editor to help ease up his work and also for preparation when we reached the next Patreon goal.

Okay, the next goal hasn’t actually been determined yet but obviously, I’d be increasing the amount of commissioned chapters per week when we do reach that goal. So I will need more than 1 editor to help keep up with the increasing workload. If you are interested to apply, please fill in the form in this post and submit your application.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 65

Well, damn… me and my big mouth… I saw a Japanese translator looking for a paid job, so I approached him with only the intention to ask around, but now it looks like the talk is proceeding towards actually hiring him for the job. What do you guys think I should do? Think of this as an investment and hire him to translate a Japanese Gender Bender series at the rate of 1 chapter per week?

I’m poor so I can only afford 4-5 chapters per month at the rate he’s asking (which is a very reasonable rate, mind you). And this investment comes directly from my own pocket with no support from Patreons (yet). I plan to slowly gather support from the Patreon so I can pay off the translations and turn this investment into a profit. But of course, just like with all my other novels, the more patrons I can gather, the more chapters I can commission from the translator.

To anyone that supports this plan, feel free to suggest a Japanese Gender Bender novel you’d like to be picked up, but of course, if you can support this project on Patreon (not available yet), it would be all the better.

P.S. To Kreyton, if I decide to go ahead with this plan, I can add Yotogi no Kuni no Gekkouhime to the lists of possible translations along with a few others. What I’m planning for now is to have the translator translates the synopsis of a few Gender Bender series and have the Patrons vote for which one to pick up.

Demon Sword Maiden Fanart Commission

I’ve been thinking of commissioning a fanart for Demon Sword Maiden for some time now and here’s a few scenes I’ve been thinking of:

Option A: A half-naked Lily pressing the katana (with red runes) against her breasts with flirtatious expression. (The scene in the middle of the Mountain Imps raid)

Option B: Uesugi forced a kiss on a struggling Lily on horseback (The scenes on the rainy street of Takeshita)

Option C: ………

Patreon Goal Surprise!

I planned to announce this after we reach the 3rd patreon goal, but I managed to hire a translator much earlier than scheduled so I have no choice but to push forward my schedule.

First of all, give the patrons a hand of applause, this option has only become possible thanks to all the awesome patrons who have supported me thus far. When I first opened my Patreon account, I was honestly not expecting much, maybe 1 to 3 Patrons at most. However, over the past few months, the number of patrons continued to grow until we reached this turning point today.

I’m sure all of you have been wondering what I’ve been going on about for a while now so without further ado, let’s move on to the main topic! Continue reading Patreon Goal Surprise!

Lots of great news will be revealed this week, please keep an eye out on the featured posts on homepage or check out the news section.

The first news is that from today onward, Demon Sword Maiden will return to the schedule of two chapters per week for the foreseeable future. Next, we will have a voting session for a Demon Sword Maiden fanart commission. Then Dragon Princess will finally get a weekly release schedule. And lastly, whether Re:Library becomes a Gender Bender haven in the future falls solely on the hands of the readers.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 63

I’m not sure how many can relate to this but I believe most readers can relate since it is a stereotype that those who like reading and gaming is what the society would call a NEET or an OTAKU, even if we don’t think so ourselves.

As a so-called NEET, we are mostly an anti-social creature (or at least I am) so it is near impossible for us to build a long-lasting relationship. Now you might be wondering, why am I saying all this. Well, there is only one reason, remember the “girl” I told you the last two weeks ago? Yeah, that didn’t quite work out.

Anyway enough about that, I just got word from my collaborator, I think we can expect good news next week. Let’s hope so…

With all due respect, since this week’s chapter has been pushed ahead of schedule, there will only be one chapter for this week and the next week. Believe me, I’d love to provide you guys with two chapters (or more) per week if I can help it, but due to some circumstances which I cannot reveal just yet, I currently do not have enough chapters in stock to do just that.

However, if my plan shifts toward a favorable outcome, then we will be hearing some good news in a week or two. If the plan falls apart, there will be no good news, but no bad news either. We will just keep up the chapter release at the same pace as always.

Well, due to my guilty conscience, I pushed this chapter 1 week ahead of schedule so the editor hadn’t had the chance to edit it yet. Sorry, Max!

Please enjoy this chapter, unedited it may be, the quality’s still not too shabby. Oh yes and Arifureta anime adaptation is finally out last night! What’d everyone think about it? This is just my personal opinion but I believe they totally ruined it, they try to stack too much into one episode and everything feels so rushed. It was a total letdown.

I know I gave a big tease last week and everyone is really looking forward to this chapter, I feel really bad this too, it left a bitter taste in my mouth. With that said, I’ll be pushing next Tuesday’s chapter forward! Enjoy the double chapter today!

And I’m sure many are curious about the… seminar last week… though it shames me to say this but I actually… didn’t go to the seminar. My internal alarm kept ringing bells, so in the end, I went to a body massage center instead. It was there the clerk introduced me to one of her colleagues who is supposedly “interested” in me, so we are now hitting it up on the messenger and getting to know each other. I guess the end result isn’t all that bad? I missed a golden opportunity, which I don’t even know if it’s the real deal or not, but I ended up getting introduced to a “potential” girlfriend.

I’m saying “potential” here because we’re still getting to know each other. The other party seems to like me for now (for whatever reason… we never really even had a real conversation once) but I don’t know if I’ll ever feel the same way about her… I don’t think I’ve ever truly looked at another girl with love interest aside from my first crush. The shadow of my first crush is looming deep in my heart. Even now, after being apart for more than 10 years since High School, I would still call her name in my mind unconsciously from time to time… Oh boy, all these cheesy lines sound like some third-rate teenage romance drama. I’m just gonna sign out for now! Over and out!

Hoh boy… I am actually getting quite nervous as the day of the seminar is getting closer. The seminar will take place tomorrow and I have this strong urge that keeps telling me not to go! I have a hunch that nine out of ten, it is a scam. My hunch is almost never wrong… well, yeah, who am I kidding, it’s just a hunch… But I still feel pretty uneasy about this whole seminar thing. Oh and I already secretly watched Spiderman, I promised my friend to watch it with him this weekend but I just couldn’t resist the temptation! I have been waiting so long for this show and couldn’t rein back my hype.

It was a great show, totally will watch it again this weekend with my friend! But I’ll pretend like it was my first time watching it when I’m with him xD

I believe many of you still haven’t been notified since many readers actually came from NovelUpdates, but Re:Library has finally moved to a new server! It’s faster, it’s smoother, and better than ever! Try browsing the site for a bit and let me know what you think. Personally, I think it’s loading much faster than before. The backend side also looks much cleaner since we made a clean move and only duplicated the site contents, you won’t believe just how messy the previous server was on the backend side.

Anyways, it’s the start of a new month and this also marks the new beginning of Re:Library! I hope y’all enjoy the read and lemme know what you think of the new and improved server! It smells like a new car in here~

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 57

Boy oh boy, Spiderman: Far From Home is about to come to the big screen next week. I’m so excited to hit the cinema as soon as it comes out.

But then again, I have applied to join a Trader’s Seminar on the day I am supposed to be watching the movie. It’s a 3-hour seminar that teaches you how to do Exchange-Traded Options and makes a profit out of it. I applied for the FREE Seminar because I had thought at the time, ‘If I want to change something, then maybe I should step out of my comfort zone and try something different.’

It was then I saw a sponsored post on Facebook about this FREE Seminar, so I applied to join on impulse. Now that I think about it, I’m full of worries, what if this is a scam? My feelings are fluctuating between positive thinking and negative thinking repeatedly. I mean, if this really works, then I will be able to secure a second source of income. And maybe I could even quit my job if this goes well and make translating into a full-time business rather than a mere hobby.

Of course, I do not plan to invest big capital into this thing, maybe a few hundred at most, and if I can earn from there and slowly make my way up, that’ll be for the best. But then again, you never know what will happen, my mom even told me that someone who used to play with the stock market fell into a huge debt and lost all his properties. Though I feel reassured as my sister told me that as long as I don’t invest in “unlimited stock”, that will never happen and I’ll only lose what I invested…

Anyways, this turned out to be quite a long post, but long story short, I’m going mad here due to all the grieving this FREE seminar is giving me. Oh, and I’m looking forward to Spiderman.

Well, all I can really say is… the Editor has really outdone himself, superb work has been done in this chapter. Look forward to it, along with some juicy scenario.

Oh and I’m thinking of moving this site to a new server soon, which should provide us with more stability and less maintenance. The move will happen maybe sometime around mid-July. I am expecting a smooth transition, but hey you never know if something might go wrong and the entire site goes down with it. That always happened…

After 55 chapters, I’ve finally recruited an Editor for Demon Sword Maiden. Out of all the applications I’ve received, only 3 of them were legit while the rest were spam. And out of all the applicants, only one of them managed to finish the test. Or well… the only one who even bothered to do the test.

So let us give a warm welcome to Deximus-Maximus, the new editor of Demon Sword Maiden and the chief moderator of Demon Sword Maiden Wiki page.
