I ran a sort of Session 0 for my Star Trek Adventures rpg campaign.
We made the ship and we made a couple of characters, though the characters aren’t finished.
We only have two of the characters down and there might be five players, though one third character is half done in concept.
The starship itself is pretty much set up too with the exception of hte name, but they also want a starbase, so I need to work on that.
The starbase makes sense given the context of the campaign so I shall conceded this annoying technicality.
Apparently I chose the best time in the world to return to Blue Archive (well aside form never leaving of course) as they’re giving away 100 free gacha pulls after the next update.
Man that’s crazy, can you imagine if FGO or something did that?
I mean FGO’s idea for an anniversary event is to make you pay for a character haha.
What a difference in philosophy.
Though what I find interesting is the new story chapter in the asian server is called Final Chapter, but as far as I know they still have more planned unreleased chapters so it’s not very Final is it?
At first I thought “Isn’t two years a bit fast to finish off a gacha games main story?” but then I remember FGO’s first run was two years too, then they did that year semi-sequel before entering the current arc.
It’s getting close to forgetting which translators are good in what fields now.
It’s just slipping from my brain.
I lost my cheat sheet somewhere and it’s annoying.
I used to be able to just write down the strengths and weaknesses of each translator and then go through and quickly check based on that.
But now it’s lost and there’s new translators I have to go through slowly again once more I guess.
I need to quickly rebuild my cheat sheet.
I started playing Blue Archive again a few days ago because a couple of my friends are again, and everyone is talking about the new PV.
I remembered why I stopped playing in the first place today.
Progress just feels, really slow.
I know the game is more like a waifu collector shooter with a game system built around it.
But it just feels really slow to make any progress.
You gain player exp at a fixed rate essentially, for spending stamina.
Which means your progress is locked to your stamina regen.
Unless I am missing something, it will take me days to level up, and I need multiple levels to be able to continue the story.
It’s just so slow.
Sorry everyone, I’m in a massive rush today.
The editing might be a little more patchy than usual as a result.
I really really skimmed through, so it probably barely counts as even proofreading honestly.
Let me know any errors in the comments and I’ll fix them when I get time.
Belfast was trending on twitter today.
Sadly it was not about the Azur Lane ship.
I’m not actually sure what it was about, because clicking the trend brought up every tweet mentioning Belfast and they were extremely random and all over the place.
The algorithm decreed it trending though.
Recently the formatting of some of the google docs does not translate over well to the site.
But the only fix is going through and deleting loads of lines, which is tiresome at best.
So, I’m gonna see how bad it is, if nobody complains I won’t bother fixing it.
Personally for me one of the more interesting things about online communities is the way they go from really busy in one part of the day to completely inactive in the others.
And this isn’t because of a lack of people either, or that everyone happens to be in the same time zone, or are even busy.
It’s such a strange part of internet psychology that everyone just happens to collectively take a break when activity reduces slightly, reducing the activity further.
I would see if there were any studies on it but I don’t really care that much.
It’s Chapter 777.
Seven hundred and seventy seven. Hmmm, not quite as good when written out.
Absolutely crazy to think we’re 77.7% of the way there to 1000.
Is that previous sentence totally redundant? Yes, yes it is.
But I think it really illustrates how crazy far this novel has come.
Let’s not talk about how much more content the author also has though…
Like, yeah… it’s long. Really long. And still going for some reason!
Honkai Star Rail has opened up closed beta applications.
I strongly suggest checking that out before you miss them.
This beta surprised me though, I really thought they were going to aim for a March release.
Seems like they won’t be. I wonder if they decided to push it back for a reason, or if they weren’t even considering a march release at all.
Well I can’t read their minds, I’m just looking forward to the game.
I almost typed this as Chapter 885.
That would have been quite a jump, I hope our readers would be smart enough to realise the error but it’s a good thing I caught it.
Honestly thinking about it it’s amazing how few errors in scheduling I’ve done over the years.
I must be getting close to my fourth year now right… honestly the whole two year blip makes it hard to measure.
Anyway, here’s the chapter, not much of a ramble this time.
I should have had this done over an hour ago but I saw that Lumi had a livestream uploading so…
I ended up waiting around to watch that.
Yes, I mean that AI motion captured physics engine tech demo from Hoyo.
Look I want to see where my gacha money is going okay!
And it looks like it’s still in good hands.
So I’ve been playing the new Girls Frontline event, skipping story because I’m still behind…
And I can’t finish it!
The last level is literally unbeatable.
I googled and apparently I need a “Heavy Ordnance Corp” or something?
Annoyingly I get that at the end of the next chapter, but I’m still trying to fight way through Arctic Warfare.
This morning when I turned my lamp on it flickered a lot, and then for the rest of today it’s been completely normal.
So now I don’t know if I am going insane or not.
Isn’t that fun.
I think it was probably just the way I had my lamp twisted to face better for reading in the morning, instead of over my desk in general to light up this side of my room.
