Recently I’ve been working with a friend to compile character data for the Opportunity Rover as a Fate servant.
Interestingly as I was doing it the Shelter song rotated on youtube as a result of me watching that Neuro clip a few days ago.
It’s a strangely fitting song for Opportunity as a last message to Humanity when you think about it.
Especially if you consider it as a song not just about humanity watching over them, but also as encouragement to the successor rovers that will be sent after.
I have no excuse as to why these chapters are late.
I just… forgot to hit the schedule button.

I am really tired today because I went out to watch a a meteor!
It was a bit too cloudy to see properly, and I was kind of looking in the wrong direction because I didn’t have a compass and forgot to make a note of the angle of entry.
I remembered where it would go to but not where it would come from, so I had to spin round when I noticed.
Incidentally I thought it was 90 degrees but it was half that.
So while I was doing the editing for this I noticed we had a form submission about translating something. Normally I wouldn’t care, not my field.
But the title was “Summoner Swordmaster’s Space Battleship” and I don’t know about you but I am intrigued.
I have no clue how those words fit together but when I see Space Battleship my interest is piqued.
There needs to be more sci-fi novels translated.
Fantasy dominates too much.
If anyone actually has any idea what this novel is drop a comment synopsis for me will ya.
So the Star Rail final beta and effective prerelease campaign is now fully underway.
Are you guys hyped to play it?
I heard they’re releasing it on the Epic Games Store?
Seems odd since Honkai is on Steam but it’s whatever.
As long as they still have a direct client like Genshin I will be happy.
If I have to get it through Epic then count me out though.
Given the topic of these few chapters I find it quite amusing that they will be happening both sides of Valentines.
Of course, not on Valentines because the schedule won’t line up, but leading up to and coming out from.
Honestly couldn’t have timed it much better!
Makes me wonder what the DSM chapters on Valentine’s will be about.
Certainly not this, given what’s going on currently.
Neuro-sama ended up singing Shelter today.
I decided to go watch the original for a nostalgia trip afterwards and I totally forgot what a gut punch in the feels that video is.
It really reminds me of Voices of a Distant Star too.
Both of them deal with the themes of loneliness and love in a sci-fi setting.
I think that, by virtue of being more recent, Shelter does it better.
But I suggest going out to watch Voices of a Distant Star if you like the story of Shelter.
Both are relatively short.
The current leading candidate for the name of our Federation Starship in the upcoming tabletop RPG campaign is:
The USS Tenara.
Tenara is the name of a cold and mountainous region of the planet Trill, mentioned in Deep Space 9.
We figured it’s a good name for a Norway Class, you know, a cold, mountainous region of the planet Earth.
Other ships I have created to appear are
USS Chevalier, USS Copley, USS Galena, USS Melincourt and USS Edelweiss.
Those are a patrol ship, ecological research ship, resource survey ship, cargo transport ship and an experimental ship respectively.
I’m also considering the USS Rossum as a computer development ship.
I made some more headway on my Star Trek RPG plans.
I now know where the campaign will be based around, Starbase 152.
Of course the players ship will rarely be there, but having it as an anchor makes things much more homely in its own way.
I have a few ideas to add some quirks to it and such.
Blue Archive are doing their 100 free gacha tickets event currently.
I haven’t got anything good so far, but still have 80 rolls to go.
I got some meta units on the previous gacha fest before this one though so I think it will balance out.
The level process is going slow though.
I kind of miss the early days, where it was easy to get energy to spend on levelling.
But that’s what I get for quitting for a year.
Twice today did I mistake this for Demon Sword Maiden while trying to prepare to schedule.
I’m not even sure how.
I guess my brain just autopilot defaults to DSM when doing things on this site because it is what I have done the longest.
Do you ever get a craving for a specific brand of something for no particular reason?
I really wanted some sort of mint cake today.
But alas, I am saving money for a greater purpose.
My gacha funds.
No I joke, it’s not for gacha, I want to buy something for the rpg I am running.
But I don’t want to make it easy on myself, so I will only buy it after I have a certain amount of money saved up to discourage my spending.
I have started to fall deep into the Blue Archive hell after starting to play again.
I managed to make a lot of progress in the story, I’m now up to the second half of the Eden Treaty.
I’ve made quite a bit of headway in the current event too, but I’ve obviously hit a wall as far as my level will allow me to go.
So now it’s just optimising my farming for the event currencies so that I can make the most of the material offerings.
Sadly my level isn’t high enough to get the true best rewards, but that’s fine.
