So a few years back I signed up for this mailbox thing of Japanese stuff.
It was kind of just like a random assortment of fan anime merch that would get shipped to you once a month.
As far as I can tell it floundered and failed pretty quickly… or so I thought.
I went in my spam today and realised I’m still getting update emails from them.
So I guess they didn’t just immediately financially die somehow?
The entire process for signing up was a mess back then, I can’t remember why I did it honestly.
I’m also fairly sure that the unsubbing process was convoluted and probably designed to fail.
A scam essentially.
The final session of “Episode 1” of my Star Trek Adventures RPG Campaign finally wrapped up.
There was a lot of twists and turns.
Investigating mysterious crew disappearances, fighting an alien mutagenic virus, uncovering a conspiracy, and encountering a weird blob monster.
All in a days work for Starfleet, literally!
Now with two of the crew transferred off for the construction of Deep Space 9 II and their early mission behind them they must set course for new adventures.
Which is fancy terms for saying, two of the players had to drop out and I need to prepare the next episode.
And find some replacement players.
I have been sat here for an hour trying to think of something other than a bad joke my friend sent me to use for this ramble.
I failed so here’s the joke!
What do you call a self-proclaimed harp?
A lyre.
I couldn’t be bothered to check if WordPress has a spoiler tag integration.
One week to go until my birthday.
Also just a few more days until Himari is released on Blue Archive.
I suppose there’s also less than a week until Star Rail banners changes too.
And then in a couple of weeks I have comicon.
And that’s not to mention the rest…
Wow it’s super busy for me!
I have had my mouse for years and only just now pulled the protective sticker off the bottom which I didn’t know was there.
I only found out about it because one corner had started to peel off and it would catch and cause the mouse to jolt if I happened to put it down a certain way.
So how have your days been?
Oh right other than that I also got my new light novel delivered today.
I will have to make time to read that soon.
My mum is going on a trip to Spain in a day or two.
I think it lasts a week, they’re going by boat it seems.
She has to leave at 1am.
I would say that’s a crazy time but I stay up until way beyond that so…
Well it’s normal for me hahaha.
1pm would be harder for me to prepare for in fact.
I was playing Star Rail earlier today and I read some lore on some of the Aeons and laughed so hard at the Equilibrium one.
That is the in universe excuse they have for raising the world difficulty to keep pace with your raising levels.
But part of the lore is that it built a system to keep everything balanced, and that sometimes people try to challenge it with finding exploits.
This god is literally just the balance patch team self inserting with their war against min-maxers and exploiters.
I just got an email saying one of my books has been posted!
So this means I have another book to work out where to make space for on my already full bookshelf.
Yaaaaay!
I have a week left until the finale of ‘episode 1’ of my Star Trek Adventures campaign.
I must remember this, for I have an intense duty to read the rules.
Because the finale is a fight, and I haven’t read how fight rules work.
This is important, because fight rules are for uh… fights.
Yeah, well I have read the rules but that was months ago, literally, when I copied them out by hand.
There is a dove outside my window trying to get laid.
I can hear it, quite loudly.
It very much wants to bone, or maybe literally lay.
I never checked which gender makes the calls in doves.
I used to know how to mimic them to make them confused, it was fun watching them look around in confusion.
Sorry if this chapter is a little lower quality.
Turned out today was coronation day and my parents had arranged a whole bunch of things to do, so I got swamped.
I managed to squeeze enough time in to do the chapters but it was at super speed because I have four to schedule today.
I also need to do my gacha daily stuff, so, yeah I’m pushed for time.
Anyway, chapters, here. Take em.
I saw labour was trending on twitter and got confused.
Then I remembered it’s actually election time here in the UK.
So I guess it’s just the usual political discourse.
I actually voted by post so, I’m not sure what’s going on.
Not that it matters anyway. Not the vote I mean.
Voting is important, you should do that.
I just meant that I did it by post.
The area near me is advertising for cctv operators.
It’s a 12 hour shift thing apparently, but it means my job will be to look at computer screens.
I am good at that!
I’m considering applying, just because it’s actually got very few working hours per week, so I can probably make it work.
I think.
I hope so anyway.
It’s strange to think this is the last chapter I would normally post for a week until the weekend, only to realise I’m also publishing a new book series so I actually only have two days off from scheduling.
It’s turning into a proper job at this rate!
The only problem is that I’m counting in days not hours hahah.
Although to be fair maybe I should time how long I spend editing each month one time to see how much I would have to get paid if this was a proper job with minimum wage, as per UK law.
Might be interesting as a thought experiment.
