So in this pre-chapter ramble for Re:Start I discussed maybe starting Arknights.
Well anyway, today I went through the effort of redownloading that emulator and dragging myself through the bios settings again because I upgraded my motherboard some months ago.
Did all the usual jazz.
And installed it.

The game is…
How to put it.
The story is serviceable, there are some weird holes in the lore of the world that are baffling but that is expected of anachronistic settings.
The gameplay however is a bit, it feels uneven.
Some levels feel really trivial and then others are like:
“Aha we lulled you into a false sense of security and now we’re going to screw you over unless you take time to level up even more characters.”

I’m going to keep going and hope that I just get into the swing of things, but when I know I’m having an off time with the tutorial content I don’t have much hope for the late game balance honestly.

It didn’t help that my first happy gacha moment was ruined by it being a dude. I got cockblocked.

Hiya, I’m really sorry for the delay. I was honestly conflicted on whether I should explain the recent delays and all, but that’s not really as important as just having the update up. Next weekend will be better. Now, to the chapter:
Last time on CielAin: With their serious conversation finished, the elder princess then remembered another important thing, the topic of one wish to be granted. And on the following morning, it finally came true. As our younger princess awakened, there before her was someone unknown, yet very familiar to her. She immediately understood, the dark haired girl before her was the elder princess that has been with her for all her life. After enjoying their wonderful first meeting, the two then headed to the dining room and waiting for them there once again was the landlady. As the finished their breakfast, the landlady suddenly brought up the topic of clothes and cunningly convinced our younger princess to share a few hours of this special day.

I’m thinking of trying Arknight’s after a friend kept talking about it.
Apparently they too had the same misunderstanding as me, and thought it was a scifi setting instead of a postapocalyptic fantasy setting.

I’m kind of curious as to how you blend dystopia and fantasy honestly.
I mean sure Warhammer did it but…. I dunno I’m just not a fan of Warhammer.

Ah but I still want to play Stellaris and Genshin, and then Jurassic World Evolution 2 releases in a few days…
Too many games and not enough free time.
