Ah it’s amazing.
The way it all pulled together, the story notes it connected, the way it developed the characters and world…
All of it was just handled so perfectly. It’s amazing, I love it.
I can’t wait to see how they manage to top this in a couple of years.

Overwatch recently gave official ages for their characters!
And they’re so arbitrarily picked that it’s proving the point that age is totally nonsense for fictional characters!
People have calculated that one of the girls mother must have been around 13 when they gave birth to her!
Which is nuts.
But now nobody is allowed to complain about anime, that’s how it works. I make the rules and I say so.

Aight so I forgot to mention last chapter but like we got to see that Elsa actually does care for Mo Li, we also get the explanation of why she’s being soo crass to him essentially. Also are we excited everyone the story is finally about to really start, I also didn’t realize how much possibly unintentionally possibly intentional foreshadowing there are in these chapters it’s really funny actually. Also this chapter was pain to translate the author decided to use so many things that don’t translate super well if anyone say my freak out in the server yaa that’s why. another thing is like man I wish I had actual chinese friends to hang with that could like teach me all the modern internet slang but at last sadge. Another funny thing I found is that certain slangs that I know are kinda like all old people slangs because modern day versions seem to have changed. or maybe I’m just stupid but who knows at least while I was going through our terms we have on the site I feel like thing have changed but whatever. anyways enjoy the chapter;).

As you know I’ve been playing Starfield lately.
I have 27 hours in it so far (from official release, not early access!) and recently finished the UC Vanguard storyline.
I really enjoyed that one, and it had some great world building stuff in it!
I don’t mean lore either.
I mean actual player impact on the world at large!
There were multiple points in the story where the news radio spoke about stuff I was doing, where NPCs changed their reactions, and where there were little set pieces in the levels to reflect ongoing events, and then at the end there were distinct changes in the attitudes of some people in radiant dialogue.

Like why is that?
Do companies want Nier collabs? Does Nier want collabs? It’s a big franchise so do they just not charge much for collabs? Or what?

If I just focused I could blitz through them much much faster.
I know some of the delay is coming up with rambles however, but that’s not all of the reason.

The way it came together was amazing.

A fairly hectic start to the week as my grandfather passed away on Tuesday, but aside from that, it’s been a good week.
This chapter I wanted to make it a bit more… warm? (not sure if that’s the word) and looking back at it now, that could be something I subconsciously did, or possibly just a coincidence. Either way, I hope everyone enjoyed Evetta and Faraine’s interactions today. I’d like to hear your thoughts on Faraine’s character up to know (likes, dislikes, etc.) (she’s much more vocal than I had planned, but I’m fine with that).
In other news, I’m thinking of adding in small interlude chapters that would be roughly 1k-2k words (like a mini-chapter) from side characters shortly after they are introduced. If I do add them, there would be two that I’d like to add for sure. The first would take place between chapters 3 and 4 and it would be from Revus’ perspective for readers to get his thoughts on Evetta before she can fully communicate with him. The other would be Faraine’s and it would be between chapters 15 and 16, so following this chapter.
In other other news, I’m also thinking of changing the Prologue. I imagine most people won’t be a fan of the idea, but the prologue isn’t doing it’s job quite as effectively as I’d hoped it would when I first wrote it. I’d like to change it to the event surrounding Revus escaping from Kāālith as it would likely support the current material more at the moment. Evetta’s backstory (the current prologue) will still exist, but I’ll likely bring it back at a later point since the information isn’t as relevant to the overall story. Additionally, the readers will learn more about Evetta’s backstory through her nightmares, so personally, I think it allows for the readers to obtain more information overall.
