Heyy guys, so a discovery has been made that some Kengo’s and Kensei’s had been mistranslated as the opposite since Snoring Dragon took over.
Now quite frankly I don’t want to go back through each chapter and work out which ones are which…
But if you happen to spot an obvious mistake in any chapter leading up to this (or after, but we’ll try to catch those in advance) then just flag it in the comments and we’ll set it straight.
I’ve been relatively civil in these posts but editing has become a chore since the switch, so hopefully things improve in the future.
I feel bad for saying that though, I know every translator has to start somewhere.
This is also technically the April Fool’s release depending on where you are in the world and I was planning on writing a short story as a bonus chapter, where Lily accidentally spreads a modern illness to the other world and they end up getting locked away for a month. But apparently there are snowflakes on the internet that wouldn’t like that and as a result I was advised not to.
Dex keeps saying he never has anything to write about in these little publication sections.
I guess this just means he doesn’t have any hobbies?
There’s always something to talk about.
In my case I actually had a few options.
I’ve been playing Minecraft with a new friend lately.
I started playing Stellaris with Federations installed. (I got a good start but event chains have been screwing me over going towards the mid-game)
I’ve recently finished watching the Azur Lane anime. (I gave it a 6/10 maybe 7/10 for the shipfus and 8/10 for Unicorn)
And of course continuing Fate/Grand Order with Cosmos in the Lostbelt.
So I just got reminded of that time years ago when World of Warcraft accidentally had an in-game plague due to an infectious raid debuff.
I like to think that the research done on that is being used in modelling Covid now.
Quite the story there though.
The debuff was for an instance only and was removed when you left, but it spread to every entity, player or npc. Which meant that pets and familiars could also be debuffed and they weren’t checked when you left the instance.
So they turned into carriers that brought the debuff out of the instance and infected players and npcs in the persistent world.
It turned into a huge deal with groups of high level players attempting to quarantine the starter zones and people resorting to terrorism to spread it to as many people as possible.
The ending was a bit of a let down. They just rolled back the servers.
I know they were probably more worried about resolution speed than anything else, but a cure event would have been pretty cool.
Editing is a little rough this chapter…I got about two hours sleep for various reasons.
(Quarantine seems to be getting to my other family members)
The UK finally entered lockdown, too little too late honestly.
In the meantime maybe it’s a good chance to use that Lucozade delivery service?
I wonder if that’s still going.
So the AD&D campaign I’m in started up again.
It’s a bit of a strange experience because this is the first time the scenario has been based around my character!
The other people I play with are more experienced so I tend to sit on the backline more often, plus my social awkwardness.
However I really love this character.
He’s the son of a knight that grew up on stories about grand heroes, and has set himself out to be someone brave and honourable.
The only problem is, he’s like someone roleplaying a character (ironically) and thus he never thinks about the consequences of his actions.
Interpreting everything like it exists to make his story more grand.

Now I can finally relax and throw myself into my games and writing!
I actually helped a friend put together a new roleplay character the other day, I’m quite fond of them.
Alright now this is scheduled I can finally go and play Stellaris Federations!
I’m super hyped for this expansion, since it finally adds the mechanics I most love in strategy games!

There is just something satisfying about becoming a political heavyweight in games. Knowing you can achieve your goal without having to go out of your way.
In Stellaris before I used to do this with roundabout techniques, like creating a hub that links wormholes, gateways and l-gates to make travel around the galaxy really fast. But by doing so I could cut off access to my systems and thus force some empires to travel the long way while the ones I wanted to win had my shortcuts.
Also Origins! Finally background flare for my empires!
So I finished catching up on Realist Hero, one day I’ll buy the paperback copies of that series, I really enjoy it.
So now I’ve started reading Welcome to Japan, Ms Elf.
Which is a reverse-isekai about touring Japan with a fantasy elf, with your more typical isekai fantasy segments mixed in as an extra.
The elf is suuuuuuuuuuper cute and sexy though!
I wish I got isekaid every time I was dreaming, that’d be great.
I had to get the bus today, and it was really amusing because each time the bus arrived at its destination they’d have like a cleaning crew come in and wipe down every part. Every handrail, every button, every handle.
Was really amusing to watch a pair of guys having to run over a bus.

I was fighting the Ether Drake in Stellaris, and when you defeat it you get a Dragonslayer leader trait for one of your Admirals. But it’s not actually scripted to give it to only Admirals.
So the science ship I had sent in first, then told to hide on the other side of the system, had technically initiated combat with the Ether Drake as my main fleet arrived to kill it.
Because the first fleet in combat was technically my science ship, which is technically occupied by a leader, the Dragonslayer trait went to my Scientist instead of the Admiral of the main fleet.
Yes that’s right, my empire had the glorious Scientist Monval ka Pinnate! Dragonslayer!
Too bad he died of old age, had he been one of my Synths then he’d be immortal – literally.
Lately I’ve been listening to this song called Edelweiss on loop.
Edelweiss is actually a word I really like, it’s a type of flower apparently, but it means Noble White.
I use it a lot in my fiction as the names of flagships or prototype weapons. I might have mentioned this before.
But this song is quite nice, apparently the anime it’s from is really bland but I found it in an amazing Index novel MAD.

I always find the answers amusing because pretty much every anime world is either really not that interesting (Like K-On or whatever) or has some seriously seriously messed up realities (Like pretty much every action anime ever).
Even the seemingly good ones have some surprising flaws.
Of course this discussion is predicated on you getting transported over with just what you have on you.
Log Horizon’s setting is probably the safest bet.
Personally I would have liked to say “To Aru!” gimme that Raildex! I wanna become an esper!
But Academy City is seriously messed up! Plus you have to pay tuition to become an esper at Academy City! As an isekai person I can’t afford that!
Worst case scenario I become a Child Error and used for some horrific experiment!
And there’s an upper age limit on when Esper development can start! Even the oldest espers are only highschoolers! I’m in my 20’s!
I’d have to become a magician instead…but then I’d probably be hunted for violating the Magic-Science Treaty.
I’ve been proofreading another novel today and it took me about 10 hours to do just the first pass.
I normally do three passes before I send off the corrected version as checked, but it’s the first time I’ve been burned out this hard.
The novel is done in a weird present tense too so it’s hard to work out the grammar for some sentences because it reads like past tense.
