J-Novel club is in the middle of going through a site overhaul, I wonder if silva will murder me if I link to them?
Well basically they’re looking for feedback on the beta version of their new site, which you can find if you go to their forums on their normal site!
Please do give them lots of useful feedback because right now the site has some weird flaws and minor annoyances.
The ones I’ve picked up have already been mentioned by others so far I think, so it looks like the process is going well.
Also you should totally buy some novels from them.
I’m not saying this because sometimes I proofread for them at all.

The Atelier game got officially announced huh.
The reaction on the internet has varied from leading scientists calculating the exact percentage increase of thigh volume on the main heroine…
all the way to the elitist scum hating on the Ryza newcomers.
I actually got into a fight with one of those elitist fans and they were not impressed.
I really hate gatekeeping in fandoms so haha. Take that sucker.
I’ve never actually played an Atelier game, probably never will either sadly.
Just not enough time and not enough appeal.

I finished reading Warlock of the Magus World today.
Didn’t really like it. The story was okay but the character writing just wasn’t right to me.
The author seemed overall competent but was trying too hard to make the main character different.
I get that he was a pragmatist but there was a lot of plot threads and character development in the supporting cast that were just cut because of his decisions, and it felt really pointless.
Like they spent several chapters developing one character only to abandon them and that never get mentioned ever again.
Or entire groups developed only to use them as fodder for the MC to stand on.
Or he’d give a boon to some random character for whatever reason, then that character would never show up again.
Or there’d be foreshadowing of an event but the main character would just sidestep it entirely making all the buildup null.
It just felt…pointless?
Why bother getting invested in any characters that will probably never be relevant again.
The lack of romance killed it too, but that’s a minor gripe. When A Mage Revolts is far superior and that also didn’t have romance.
Do you know what I find weird. So Coca Cola sell Cherry Coke right.
Which is unsurprisingly a flavour of Coca Cola. Go figure.
The weird part is they only sell it in fridge bottles, and maybe cans.
BUT they do sell Cherry Coke ZERO in large bottles?
However they don’t sell Cherry Coke ZERO in fridge bottles!
So it’s like. You need the big bottles for Cherry Coke ZERO.
And you need fridge bottles for Cherry Coke.
Which annoys me because I like big bottles but hate ZERO.
So I always get stuck having to decide.

I’m actually pretty awful.
Sloth, envy, greed, pride and lust could all be argued to apply to me.
The only one you absolutely can’t apply to me is gluttony.
I think my biggest one would be sloth.
I used to be more prideful than I am now, but I’m more selfaware about it now.
I used to be more greedy, but I’m more content with my situation now…or maybe just too slothful to change it.
And I used to be more envious of others, but the same as above.
As for lust well……anime girls are cute and I want a harem!
I actually streamed for the first time in what feels like a year.
Well I actually I streamed in December for FGO gacha rolls so I guess that’s not technically correct.
It feels weird streaming again but I want to try and make it regular once more.
I used to have a half decent community.
It was actually around the time I got Valkyria 1 that I was streaming at my peak so maybe Valkyria 4 can salvage it.
So over the past week I’ve been slowly and surely reorganising my room to make space for some new items.
I cleared off two entire shelves and threw away two entire bags of junk.
I’m still clearing some of my spare desk to see if I can make a bit more room.
My stepdad just adjusted my shelves so that they’re actual shelves now rather than slats for box storage.
This should make room for my figure collection to expand among other things.
The main purpose is so that I have somewhere to store my Invaders novel boxset and my manga.
By moving my manga over I will free up space for more figures on my primary shelf unit.
Of course if I want to use my newly freed shelves for figures I might contemplate buying some led tape lights to illuminate them.
Must confess, I got so engrossed in playing Valkyria 4 today that I may have slightly possibly forgot to edit these chapters….

But man that game is nostalgic. Scouts seem to have been nerfed slightly so I’m a little upset.
They were kind of broken in the original game though.
Need to run around the map? Scout.
Need to storm the enemy? Shocktrooper or Scout.
Need to snipe the enemy? Sniper or Scout.
Do you see the problem here?
I’m glad that the DLC gives me my beloved Edelweiss back.
My PC bluescreened earlier.
It said something about an nividia driver irql error or something.
Last time I got this it was a result of my CPU failing weirdly.
I’m hoping it’s just a fluke and won’t be a constant problem again because fixing my PC is such a huge pain.
It’s got my apprehensive though because there’s a huge list of potential causes this time:
That weird noise I heard that one time while playing a game.
The fact I recently moved it around the house.
The fact I just upgraded my ram to be 2x 4GB and 2x 8GB sticks.
And the fact immediately after upgrading my ram I updated my graphics drivers.
I’m hoping it’s just my monitor being weird because if it’s that then I’m replacing it in like two days.

It is 6am here.
I just finished rolling for Skadi on FGO.
It took ten 10 rolls and 43 tickets.
My adventures continued for another three 10 rolls to get the lolivinci CE.
Then it was onwards to the GSSR!
I rolled Lancer because I want to NP5 Ereshkigal.
I got NP2 Brynhild instead. Not even mad.
Brynhild was the first waifu I wanted in FGO and I managed to get her in a ticket or two back on her download campaign.
The steam sale is almost reaching its end.
What did you people purchase this year?
For me it was Valkyria 4, Battletech and Lords of Waterdeep.
The first two have been on my wishlist for ages and the Waterdeep one was just for a multiplayer stream.
I just need to find time to play them though!
Balancing priorities has never been my strongest point.
I love Valkyria so much, the Edelweiss is one of my favourite vehicles from fiction. Right up there with some spaceships.
As you know, Immortal Dreamer has become a ‘pro’ now and can’t continue with this translation.
Don’t worry things are perfectly okay! Silva is currently bridging the gap and we have a new translator stepping in soon.
Aoi will be joining the team to fill the shoes of Immortal Dreamer.
And for once Aoi was chosen by Immortal Dreamer and not Silva so they will be competent unlike the previous recruitment attempts

Also when reading these chapters I got really lost.

It seems that our translator has been bribed by something called an ’employer’.
Not sure what it is, seems like some kind of monster that offers money in exchange for servitude.
Like a devil but more sinister.
As a result he’s stepping down from his position.
It is farewell to Immortal Dreamer…even though he was so perfect for this position. Alas.
The real world sucks you know, I want to be isekaid.

I am still slowly working on Chapter 178.5 (I know it’s been so long but I got distracted by a certain MMO)
Speaking of a certain MMO, I’ve been toying with the idea of creating some in character mini-stories for it. The problem is the people I play with either have some weird characters or don’t have a sort of roleplay personality in mind.
Oh right, we also had a full argument in the discord over whether it was right to lewd AinCiel or not.
Also uhm….I guess I don’t need to write a .5 chapter this time.
