It’s when I have a shop day but the shop also has a discount on pain au chocolats about to hit their shelf life.
Half price on those, a steal.
Even better if they legally can’t sell it the next day so they basically shove it at you.
Those are good days.

Hiya~! Without further ado, time to continue on our interlude journey!
Last time on CielAin: Skipping a bit, our girls are in the middle of dancing. Specifically, the older princess is dancing with the local princess while our younger princess is silently sulking with envy. And with that, she swore herself to be a better dance partner in the future! In another scene, we also see our girls discussing about their goals and ambitions regarding their studies, as they dream big for their happiness.
Now then, what will happen next? Since it’s not a half-parter, will we see a new POV in the next chapter? What other events will we see from other people’s eyes? And do we have enough interludes in stock?
Find out in the next interlude! Still a whole chapter!
I hope you enjoy the chapter! Please stay safe! Feel free to comment! And I hope you all have a wonderful week!

After dying, I awaken in another world, possessing the body of a young girl—who has her own consciousness. Worse, she’s chained in a prison cell. After ten years of struggle, we finally escape, determined to live freely and uncover the truth behind our strange existence.

I have no idea what to write here, so I am just going to elaborate on some feedback I got from players about my D&D campaign.
Specifically the two character concepts I have been provided so far. I decided to go characters first, story second for this campaign, just because I usually do the reverse. I wonder how this will work out.
The first is someone that wants to play an undead wizard, not a big problem, I have lich-lite race options, though the rest of the details are oddly specific. They want it to be a seafarer that died at sea and recently reawoke. I am not sure how I am going to work this in, but I’ll see what I can do with the concept while working around other concepts before I approach them with options.
The second is someone who wants to play something fey, also not a problem, I have a plethora of fey related race options. Not to mention the official fairy. I am hoping I can nudge them into the dryad race I have, just because I have a concept for making their tree be one next to the parties main inn. My working idea if they go with it is to make the tree having been destroyed some time back in a storm, but they do a ritual to preserve the dryads spirit, and later transfer it to a new tree. For whatever reason this process loosened the binding to the tree enough for the dryad to travel, or some other shenanigan is at play depending on how I develop the story. The main feature I want to include is that the dryads tree is sort of a symbol of the inn. If they decide to go for a proper fey I have other ideas in my pocket too, specifically I like to homebrew my feywild in D&D to be more like fairy britain in FGO, though with a heavier nature theme. I like that kind of sideways morality the fairies have in fate, where they single-mindedly pursue their central concept. I think that works really well in D&D for displaying how they don’t really fit human morality, while also making it so they can still be placed on the classic alignment system.
I did get feedback from a third player (out of the four main player candidates, this is good!) but they didn’t have anything distinct in mind, just a few races they feel like playing. One of which was also fey themed… am I just going to end up with a player party that is immune to “hold person” at this rate? Well, I guess once I opened the floodgates to anything on the full list of homebrew content I have I should have expected this. I’ll step in if they start picking weird classes, but the races I can handle.

I finally made a little progress with my D&D prep with that group…
A little.
I at least have some measurement of what they are interested in, but I need to work out where to take it, honestly I have no direction right now.
One person has a relatively solid character concept, but it’s very vaguely defined in terms of motivation and they said they don’t want it to be too integral to the “main plot” so I can’t use it to spin off the entire story, just a subplot or aspect of a greater scheme. Which is fair. Much better than the alternative of main character syndrome, that’s for sure.

Hiya~! Let’s continue through June with more interludes to come!
Last time on CielAin: After the written exam, our girls sped past the ability assessment and now we’re in mock battle time. And after that, our girls were observing another battle, which was relatively impressive, but our younger princess didn’t seem much impressed.
Now then, what will happen next? With the mock battle done, are we proceeding to the dance test? Are we perhaps skipping further than that? And… wait, why am I speaking as if it’ll still be a Ciel POV (it is)?
Find out in the next interlude! Yes, a whole chapter this time!
I hope you enjoy the chapter! Please stay safe! Feel free to comment! And I hope you all have a wonderful week!

I haven’t really been reading these, just skimming them.
But this really reminds me of that one solo duty in Final Fantasy XIV, during the build up to Shadowbringers, where the alliance are fighting the empire.
I forget which NPC you play as, but you basically have to fight the previous final boss as an npc, and your objective is “Survive until the player character can reach you”.
And there’s such a weird sense of pride and catharsis from the fact you get live updates of your characters progress as they bull rush through an entire battlefield to resolve your fight…
You are coming to your own rescue.

After waking up, I find myself transformed into the female character I once played—a weak, low-level avatar in a dangerous world. While trying to live quietly, my doll-like beauty attracts overwhelming attention from other female players. Now, I must navigate this bizarre reality while reconciling my old self with my new identity.
I started trying to actually organise the D&D campaign that my friends have been asking me to run for a while.
We will have to see if it gets off the ground. I don’t have high hopes.
I may end up running for others though, just because I can. I put a lot of work into copying over my extra rules and homebrew.
I will have to explore other good homebrews honestly.

After the neighborly teasing on the way, how will the classmates react to Sakura without her glasses?
