“Come on in!”

Rir had come to my home. On Earth, I barely every saw her in anything other than her school uniform or training attire, so her casual outfit felt fresh. She usually wore cute clothes.

“Woof! So, this is where you and Sakura live…?”
“It is! Should we go to my room? Sakura is waiting there.”
“Alright.”

I showed her to my room. Our girls’ meeting, during which we’d talk about our respective partners in detail, would now begin.
Quite exhaustive detail, at that. Since the men in question weren’t present.

“Hey Rir, come in!”
“Hello, Sakura!”

Normally, you’d talk more politely to someone older than you, whom you’d only known for a few months… but for some reason Sakura used casual speech with Rir¹.

“We got lots of sweets, too.”
“Hang on, you started eating them already, Sakura?”
“You thought I’d just sit still² with milk chocolate and Konpeitou³ in front of me, Sis?”

My sister, who’d usually just stare at the treats with drool hanging from her mouth while waiting, when other girls came to visit, had started before us. How disrespectful!

“Whatever. Have a seat, Rir.”
“Alright, woof… so this is your room on Earth, Mika? If I had to describe it, I guess I’d use the words ‘girly and neat’.”

The way she judged my room was not how Japanese people normally would put it. Did she understand the concept of neatness? Though I myself wasn’t sure whether I did.
Still, people often said that my room looked neat.

“Can you see Alim’s room from here?”
“You can, I mean, you can even open his window if you stretch out your arm.”
“Huh…”

But right now, the curtains were closed. This was a girls’ only meeting, so even Ayumu, who was male on Earth, wouldn’t be allowed to peek.

“By the way, Sis. You never told me why we gathered here. Only that Rir would come to visit.”
“Huh? We have a rare opportunity today, so I was thinking of having an intense talk about some things. Things that aren’t for the boys’ ears.”

Sakura, who was still more like a child and hadn’t had an intense kiss with Kanata so far, gulped.

Oh, looks like I lost Rir somewhere along the way, too.

My sister, still quite pure, made big eyes. Rir instead, likely experienced herself at this point, looked calm.

“Woof, I’ve also slept quite a few times with Shuu since then, but… how many are you talking about, Mika?”
“Quite… quite a few times!?” Sakura gasped.
“As for that…” I trailed off and then used a ballpoint pen to write down a number in a nearby notebook. It was higher than you could count with your fingers and toes. I had already resolved myself to be frank today. In all aspects.

“Eek… Are you this debauched, Big Sis!?”
“Don’t call it that! I’m simply heads over heels in love!”
“Woof, judging from the number, you do it once every two days.”
“You’re correct.”

It was exactly as she had guessed. She was always quick at calculations. That aside, I didn’t expect my younger sister to brand me a debauched woman.

“Sakura, you are aware that the day will come when you do the deed too, aren’t you?”

I might as well tell them the other part, too. These two… Sakura was a given, but I wouldn’t have told her this much, if I didn’t trust Rir.

“Also… I did it on this side, too.”
“B-Bwuh!?”
“Woof! Good for you!”

Their reactions were quite different.

“I-In that case, Sis, did you get pregnant!?”
“…We obviously used birth control!”

“Where did you do it?” Rir asked, sounding quite interested.

This topic seemed to have tickled her fancy, after all. I’d be in trouble if the other girls in class heard about this. Absolutely.

“In a love hotel.”
“Woof~… I tried to get Shuu to go to one of those with me too, but he refused.”
“He did!?”

Why in the world would he do that? Was Rir’s charm not enough for this beefcake?

1. I know it’s a cultural thing, and Japan is still tame compared to South Korea, but as someone from a place where no kid would ever talk to another kid politely, regardless which one is older, and where people usually decide within days of meeting whether they are going to talk to each other politely or casually, this feels incredibly alien to me.
2. This may be wrong. The original is 猫にマタタビだって思わなかったの？. 猫にマタタビ might be related to 猫に木天蓼お女郎に小判 (“everyone has their favorite”, or “pick the right thing to please someone”), but this doesn’t really suit the context. Though it is possible she just completely ignores Mika’s outrage and tells Rir to pick what she wants.
3. Konpeitou (金平糖) is a type of Japanese sugar candy. The word is apparently based on the Portuguese “confeito”.
