We had some really high winds here in the UK today.
Actually there were even some warnings.
I had a laugh because my window blew itself fully open last night, then when I woke up it had blown itself fully closed.
I guess the wind changed directions as the temperatures changed.
I spent most of today reading through the notes I wrote for planning my Magical Index fanfic I created a few years back.
It was like 30 pages of pure plot notes as I was working out the butterfly effects of the changes I was making to the main story and how they’d propagate along.
21,000 words of just notes.
Absolutely insane.
If I did decide to pick up writing it again I would easily be able to track myself at least. Anyway chapter time.
So the new season is started almost fully now, pretty much everything has aired its first episodes.
Are there any stand outs for you?
I had a few that I liked but I’m not sold on some others.
Helck and Classroom of Heroes turned out very different than I imagined.
Helck was less dark than I thought even with some prior research (at least based on the first episode).
Classroom of Heroes was uh… torture to watch.
Watching billion dollar corporations do crowdfundings then seeing them crash and burn is strangely cathartic.
Mattel are doing a crowdfund for a scale Jurassic Park main gates toy.
It is going…. poorly.
At 5000 backers you get the Gate and tour car
At 6000 you get some fences for your gate and Tim
At 8000 you get a T. Rex
At 10,000 you get Lex and a goat
They have a grand total of….. 1200 backers.
Half way through and only 25% of the backing they need for the thing to exist in the first place.
For some reason I ended up rereading the Reincarnated as a Slime manga.
I’m not even sure why.
I accidentally binged it, and now it’s super late and I need to finish scheduling.
This chapter is called Night Parade of One Hundred Demons.
Yes, we have gone all the way back to the start apparently.
How nostalgic this must be.
Thank you everyone who has stuck around this long, and hello to all the binge readers who made it this far too!
Normally I save these kinds of things for the actual chapter number milestones but narrative ones work too.
I feel like I should talk about the latest Oshi no Ko chapter, you know to keep me on brand as a siscon.
But instead…
Reborn as a Vending Machine! The first episode was good!
I was a little worried they might botch it but I really enjoyed reading that series, so the first episode being good is promising.
Let’s see if they can maintain the quality.
The Certain Magical Index omnibus collector edition is tempting me more and more these past few days.
I was pretty sure I was clear of my desire for it, but it turned out upon seeing the appearance my opinion changed.
I really like the design… and the price isn’t too extreme…
Something weird happened while I was editing this today.
My computer monitors turned off, and my headphones made the noise for when something disconnects and reconnects.
Then they turned back on.
It was like it was a driver update but I didn’t get any alerts or anything for it… It just, happened.
Everything seems to be working fine, the monitors just reset randomly.
This chapter is called Lycoris Radiata, which is amusing.
For those that don’t know it’s the read flower that shows up in anime all the time.
But the reason this amuses is because my mum recently bought some bulbs of these to plant in the garden.
I think they arrive some time this month too?
Anyway, took me by surprise when she did. I can’t even remember how they came up in conversation now.
Anyway, here’s your chapter as we continue our daily releases!
Twitter is in a state of nuclear meltdown.
The prevailing theory seems to be that twitter didn’t pay for some of their server services and thus tried to restrict traffic.
By accident as a result they created a loop of twitter pinging its servers for data that then gets a restricted response, which causes twitter to ping itself again for data.
It does this so much that the servers are starting to scream.
Poor architecture.
Sucks to be him right now though doesn’t it.
