Hello everyone, I am sorry this is several days late.
Sadly, out of nowhere at about 6am Sunday morning I ended up extremely sick, and only today have been able to manage enough coherence and energy to sit down at my computer and do work.
Well, I guess this is partially what I get for only doing things a few days in advance instead of a week in advance, but considering this was the first time I really had this problem it goes to show how sick I was.
I either have permanently solved a small annoyance, or permanently bricked my PC!
We will find out tomorrow!
Basically – at some point my System Reserved partition had got displayed as my D: drive to my constant bafflement.
And some software tries to auto install there… I do not want that!
I finally decided to go and look up how to hide it again, and have now removed its D listing.
This will either solve my problem forever, or I have accidentally cut off some system listing inside it and now my PC will never restart ever again!
Speaking of games my friends keep trying to drag me into.
They keep trying to make me play Fortnite for some reason!
It’s getting really annoying!
I don’t know how many times I have to say that I hate Epic and I will never put their Games Store on my PC…
But they’re still not getting the message!
I want to flip a table!
So I started playing “Wuwa” because of the pleading of a friend and I have to say…
It’s not very subtle is it?
Pointlessly technical terminology for ‘immersion’. Badly explained game systems.
And then the game itself…
Look, Genshin wasn’t subtle about it’s Breath of the Wild influence but at least it also did some original things too…
Wuwa is just a “copy your homework” level of Genshin clone…
Absolutely insane, its only unique selling point is the combo system! (Which I hate by the way)
Combo this, rotation that, skill this, swap that… I honestly don’t enjoy gameplay that’s all sweaty like that.
I just want to have fun ungabungaing enemies with fun character compositions like Genshin and Star Rail…
Apparently earlier this month Star Trek Online released a new ship pack which is basically a sequel to the ship I used to personally use back when I was playing, continuing the lore storyline for that branch of experimental technologies.
The new ship line is called the Kardashev Class, which honestly feels like a huge flex on Starfleet’s part.
So it seems that the Discord mobile app pulled a Code Lyoko and made a Return to the Past for the UI design.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist making that reference after I realised I typed “return to the past”…

Looks like their experiment with the bottom hot bar is finally at an end, I rejoice.
You won’t believe it… I managed to do the final Star Rail boss fight…
The team I used was: Trial HTB, March, Serval and Asta!
It came a bit close, but considering that Serval and Asta were Level 70 with Level 70 cones… and their traces were nothing to speak of…
Asta really came in clutch towards the end, though Serval did the most work overall.
I managed to squeeze three turns into one break window on the second phase thanks to Asta spamming Ult!
If she had an energy regen relic on her I might have even pulled off a fourth…
Somehow, don’t ask me how, I have managed to reach the final boss battle of the latest Star Rail update…
The problem is that I cannot progress any further because the crutch of my team is unusable for the final battle…
The boss not only requires that I don’t use my strongest character, but also has a gimmick that runs completely counter to every character I have built so far…
Actually I have noticed recently the element system of Star Rail is extremely unfriendly to new players…
At some point you are going to need a DPS character of AOE or Single Target of at least half the elements in the game.
In my case I don’t have any real fire or lightning damage dealers, and that’s become my roadblock…
I spent another 10 hours playing Star Rail today…
I managed to unlock Harmony Trailblazer! That’s like the big event of this story update isn’t it I think?
Well the problem is the boss fight that follows… it has a fire and lightning weakness so it’s great for people that have the last few released characters…
The problem is I don’t… the only real damage dealers I have in those fields are Serval and Hook…
Hm… I don’t think they will quite cut it honestly? I could throw myself at it and see what happens I suppose. Has worked for me so far at least…
Well, no other way but to try!
I also spent several hours today doing the merchant sidequest event because my friend said the shop you unlock at the end has good consumables.
Honestly I always forget consumables exist in this game…
Can you believe I’ve made it this far in the story doing a no-healer and no-consumable run? Anyone would think I’m doing some kind of self-inflicted torture challenge!!!
I have literally no idea what I plan to do for my birthday tomorrow…
Or well, today, because you will read this on my birthday.
Hm, maybe I will treat myself to some nice snacks and then buy a new game.
A friend just bought me Factorio so, I might try playing that!
Oh and of course, I need to continue my Star Rail journey.
It’s a shame the Steins;Gate crossover event on Neural Cloud got delayed, but it is what it is.
I have been progressing bit by bit with Star Rail’s story as I try to catch up after a year of absence, even though my teams are not cut out of the new content.
The Aventurine fight took me ages, I had the same problem as the emanator bug monster boss, where Seele and Sushang died so my DPS dropped…
But this time… Fireblazer and March were able to have permanent shield up time to take no damage when it was just the two of them!
So I literally played probably over 70 turns of battle just slowly taking down Aventurine’s HP bit by bit, yeah that was, an experience.
My shields were enough that I didn’t take any damage, so as long as I didn’t screw up my rotation it was just a matter of time that I would win.
It is now officially my birthday! Go me!
I can celebrate another revolution of the planet!
Weirdly two games I want are on sale right now… so the challenge becomes choosing one!
There might even be some more if I go looking…

My friend dragged me back to Star Rail yesterday and uh… it’s a bit of a mess.
I quit the game almost exactly a year ago, so my team is completely all over the place.
I hadn’t started relic farming either so nobody has proper gear. I think I was min-maxing traces and starting to level different characters?
Well basically it’s a mess, I still only have one healer and it’s Natasha from the start of the game…
I have however been making progress on catching up with the story!
I’ve reached the 2.1 update! Honestly I am amazed I’ve made it this far into the story with the four (4) characters I actually have levelled…
Can you imagine my suffering? I had to fight that stabby death dream monster that had a DOT gimmick with two preservation and two hunt characters!!!!
I have no idea how I am going to handle the bosses that follow this…
So although this chapter is scheduled for the 19th it’s not actually going live on the 19th for me.
Which means it’s not today’s chapter but tomorrow’s that will be on my birthday.
I think…
So this will be a few hours early.
If my understand of temporal mechanics is correct, that is.
