Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 152

It’s my youngest brother’s birthday today.
He’s now 10.
You should all send me money for a present which I totally won’t spend on my gacha.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 151

It’s a tiny chapter this time!
I hope we get something for Rei-sama’s perspective soon to shed some light on things.
Anyway as things stand I should have some time to play Stellaris…or read some more…

I’m absolutely not running away from the complicated work of adding the new volume information!!!
Okay?!

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 150

The farming for Fate has grown intensive once again.
I successfully summoned Anastasia…yet another Caster for my bloated roster.
Of my five star servants literally one third of them are Casters.

They seem to like me!
I still have yet to summon a Berserker or Assassin though.
Not to mention next on my summon list is Skadi, yet another Caster.

Anyway Anastasia needs lots of Ice and Gunpowder to level up…not looking forward to it.

Not Sure, Another World Chapter 51

I woke up with a killer headache today.
My bad habit of reading too much is showing again.

Whenever I get into a novel of some type I tend to read it as much as possible in a solid block, which means I always push going to bed a bit later to read some more.
One more page!

End result always leaves me feeling awful. Not really smart.

Not Sure, Another World Chapter 50

So Silva wants me to update the index so that this is the start of volume 2.
Purely random, since the WN isn’t divided into volumes apparently so we have no guideline to go off.

But the problem is…..updating the index is too complicated for my sleep deprived brain!
So I’ve decided to put it off a bit…..I’ll do it later I promise!

I have to do it for Demon Sword Maiden too soon since that’s about to reach Volume 2.

Oh, woe be me.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 149

One of my roleplay groups is trying to put together a shared universe for a modern superpower setting.
But we’re a bit stuck on the primary explanation for superpowers.

I proposed something styled after Chaos;Head and Scientific Railgun but they shot that down based on the grounds of the historical information of the setting. (That small numbers of superpowers have always been present but in hiding)
So we only really have the generic explanations like mutations and stuff has options at the moment.

I want to come up with something that has more flavour though.
If it was more scifi it’d be easier but trying to keep the explanation aligned with real world history gets tough.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 148

Heyy guys, so a discovery has been made that some Kengo’s and Kensei’s had been mistranslated as the opposite since Snoring Dragon took over.
Now quite frankly I don’t want to go back through each chapter and work out which ones are which…
But if you happen to spot an obvious mistake in any chapter leading up to this (or after, but we’ll try to catch those in advance) then just flag it in the comments and we’ll set it straight.

I’ve been relatively civil in these posts but editing has become a chore since the switch, so hopefully things improve in the future.
I feel bad for saying that though, I know every translator has to start somewhere.

This is also technically the April Fool’s release depending on where you are in the world and I was planning on writing a short story as a bonus chapter, where Lily accidentally spreads a modern illness to the other world and they end up getting locked away for a month. But apparently there are snowflakes on the internet that wouldn’t like that and as a result I was advised not to.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 147

Dex keeps saying he never has anything to write about in these little publication sections.
I guess this just means he doesn’t have any hobbies?

There’s always something to talk about.

In my case I actually had a few options.
I’ve been playing Minecraft with a new friend lately.
I started playing Stellaris with Federations installed. (I got a good start but event chains have been screwing me over going towards the mid-game)
I’ve recently finished watching the Azur Lane anime. (I gave it a 6/10 maybe 7/10 for the shipfus and 8/10 for Unicorn)
And of course continuing Fate/Grand Order with Cosmos in the Lostbelt.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 146

So I just got reminded of that time years ago when World of Warcraft accidentally had an in-game plague due to an infectious raid debuff.
I like to think that the research done on that is being used in modelling Covid now.

Quite the story there though.
The debuff was for an instance only and was removed when you left, but it spread to every entity, player or npc. Which meant that pets and familiars could also be debuffed and they weren’t checked when you left the instance.
So they turned into carriers that brought the debuff out of the instance and infected players and npcs in the persistent world.
It turned into a huge deal with groups of high level players attempting to quarantine the starter zones and people resorting to terrorism to spread it to as many people as possible.

The ending was a bit of a let down. They just rolled back the servers.
I know they were probably more worried about resolution speed than anything else, but a cure event would have been pretty cool.

Editing is a little rough this chapter…I got about two hours sleep for various reasons.
(Quarantine seems to be getting to my other family members)

Not Sure, Another World Chapter 49

We have a baby chapter here!

I woke up in a state of panic today because I thought I had thirty minutes to edit and schedule things.
But I had forgotten the clocks had gone forward for Daylight Saving and I still actually had an extra hour.
Phew, saved my life!

Still, can’t get complacent. I was almost about to give up and just accept I wouldn’t make it in time.
(Listen between scheduling these chapters and taking a long shower; my priority is the long shower. You readers can go suck it!)

Not Sure, Another World Chapter 48

Do Fate/Grand Order just dropped the first Lostbelt chapter a little in advance because of all the Corona stuff.
I am both happy and annoyed at how sudden it was! I was expecting some warning! But I am happy to play it.
The annoying part is that I am super busy this weekend thanks to editing and other things I need to get done.
Oh man you should have seen my face when I saw the Cosmos in the Lostbelt chapter screen!

I still haven’t even had time to play the Stellaris Federations DLC properly! Though on the upside that gives the mods I use a chance to update.
The game just wouldn’t feel the same without the infinite lore and roleplay popup mods I use.
(I play Stellaris to watch a story unfold, not to get a convincing strategy game experience).

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 145

Who has come to save our damsel in distress?!
Is it a bird? Is it a….oh wait I guess by a certain definition it is technically a bird.

Well that wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 144

The UK finally entered lockdown, too little too late honestly.
In the meantime maybe it’s a good chance to use that Lucozade delivery service?
I wonder if that’s still going.

Seems like the perfect excuse to try.

The dramatic encounter continues!
Who will come out on top?!

Find out on the patreon now! (Please, we need more money!)
Or, you know, you could just wait like a filthy casual.

As for me? Well, I’m going to go read ahead! (Read: suffer in agony as I edit tomorrow’s releases.)

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 142

So the AD&D campaign I’m in started up again.
It’s a bit of a strange experience because this is the first time the scenario has been based around my character!
The other people I play with are more experienced so I tend to sit on the backline more often, plus my social awkwardness.

However I really love this character.
He’s the son of a knight that grew up on stories about grand heroes, and has set himself out to be someone brave and honourable.
The only problem is, he’s like someone roleplaying a character (ironically) and thus he never thinks about the consequences of his actions.
Interpreting everything like it exists to make his story more grand.
