Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 79

If you follow our recent news, and the webnovel “The Ancestor of our Sect Isn’t Acting like an Elder,” then you probably already know that Re:Library had planned to take up that as our 3rd Chinese Gender Bender project. But what WE ALL didn’t know was that, another translator was already working on this project. When I made an announcement on Re:Library about picking up this project, that other translator just released 5 chapters like hot cakes in a panic.

Which in turn, caused me to panic and released chapter 7 ahead of time. I tried getting in touch with the translator and suggest a collaboration, but he refused me, now I’m just scratching my head over what to do. He won’t give us a monopoly over the project, nor did he want to collaborate, what are we supposed to do?

Once upon a time, there was many warning on social media telling us not to post our trip details and photos online to prevent housebreaking when you are away from home. However, that has never bothered me once since there will always be someone looking after the house even if I’m away.

Besides, I can’t just stay quiet about it when I go on a vacation and leave my readers hanging right? I’ll schedule the chapters well ahead of time so you don’t have to worry about the chapter release. I will be away for a short vacation during early November until mid-November.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 76

Wew, 7th of September was probably one of the worst days of my life. Went to a neighbor country to pick up materials for work, after I picked up the materials and went to a different shop to buy tiles. It was then everything started to go wrong. The car malfunctioned and my phone battery dried up, I didn’t have a charger or power bank with me, and I also didn’t have much cash on hand after paying for all the work materials.

Had to run to the closest IT store to buy a USB-C charger with what I have left, find a place to recharge my phone, only to find the USB cable was not working (even though we did test it in the shop once), then I have to run back to the IT store to exchange the item. After my phone is charged for a few minutes, I had to call the mechanics, towing services, and transport back home. One whole day was wasted with no work done since I also had to call the workshop to take the materials back with them until my vehicle is fixed. Sob… The worst thing of all is that the 3 boxes of pizzas I ordered online and never got to buy.

I think I’m gonna switch the schedule around for a bit. From now on, I will be publishing Demon Sword Maiden on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dragon Princess on Thursday and Friday, then finally, Female Knight & Dark Elf will take up the slot of Saturday and Sunday.

Just a little bit more and we will be able to fill up our schedules for the entire week~ 😋
While that’s some great news, just imagine the workload for a single person to manage… it’s… terrifying… maybe I should consider hiring someone to do the editing and publishing parts for me in the near future…

P.S. Oh and I received some advice from a Wikia pro and modified the Demon Sword Maiden Wiki homepage based on his advice, I am very proud of how it turned out, please visit the Wiki page and take a looksie 😉
It is best viewed in Desktop version.

Female Knight & Dark Elf had been released last Sunday in a batch of 5, have you guys read it yet? What are your thoughts regarding our newest Gender Bender webnovel? It’s the first Japanese Gender Bender on Re:Library and I’m hopeful that we will be able to expand into more Japanese series eventually 🙂

Now we just need to find a Korean translator and look for some Korean Gender Bender webnovel 🤭
I don’t think I’ve seen much or any Gender Bender novel from the Korean side, have you?

I’m sure many has already heard the news surrounding Spiderman, but if you haven’t, I’ll break it to you. Spiderman might no longer be part of MCU due to a breakdown between Disney and Sony!

I am honestly disappointed that I won’t be able to see Spiderman spearheading the next generation of Avengers and taking up Ironman’s torch anymore.

If the deal does break down, I can guess some possible scenarios:

Marvel will bring back Tony Stark and create Iron Lad movie, making him Tony’s true successor. Then Peter Parker will pass EDITH to Iron Lad, thus Spiderman will no longer has anything to do with Avengers and MCU in general.

Then Sony will probably continue where Marvel left off, do a Spiderman-Venom crossover, and live-action Spiderverse.

It would be cool if they bring back the previous two versions of Spiderman and had Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland meet.

Hey, those are some pretty sweet lineups if I do say so myself, but I probably shouldn’t give them ideas right? Else they might really do just that and the deal breaks down for real. I still prefer Spiderman being in MCU among all else.

Anyways, that’s enough rant coming from me, you’re not here to see me ranting but for the long awaited chapters of Demon Sword Maiden.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 72

I truly hate making last-minute vacation plans, I wonder why men in general, always do this. My father always asked me to book for flight tickets at the last minutes, and then there’s my friend, who told me to plan for a vacation trip to Penang and Melaka since July, but we still haven’t gotten around to book flight tickets and hotel rooms since his passport is still pending.

I hate the idea of booking for flight tickets and hotel rooms at the last minutes because they tend to be more expensive and harder to find a good deal.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, wait… do ladies even read this series? Anyways, that’s not important. Just wanted to let you all know that the 3rd project has been unanimously decided by the Patrons. Remember how I told you I might be hiring a Japanese translator to translate a Japanese Gender Bender series with my own pocket money? The talk has proceeded smoothly since then, to my demise, and now the third Gender Bender project on Re:Library has already been decided to be ‘The Life of a Female Knight and a Dark Elf‘.

Oh right, has anyone noticed the artistic touch I’ve done to the site banner? I’m not sure about you, but I’m quite fond of it. I changed the banner several times and finally settled with this. Then I spent hours staring at it.

Though it’s a shame that the banner is a little too small when viewed on mobile devices. But anyway, gimme your honest opinion, what do you guys think of it?

The next chapter will be the last chapter of the second arc. We will be moving to the third arc starting from Chapter 71.

The following arc will be the third arc of volume 1 known as Crimson Arc, when translated literally. There will be twenty-seven chapters in this arc. Then the last arc of volume 1 can be translated as either Soul or Spiritual Arc, with fifty-eight chapters in total. After that, we will finally be moving on to volume 2, where the VIP chapters are starting.

We just got a new editor for Demon Sword Maiden, please welcome the newest addition to our team, Robinxen. His work isn’t as detailed and throughout as Deximus, but he got the speed and decent English skills to back him up. With this, we probably wouldn’t have to worry about getting new editors for a good while.

And as a side note, we are now 79% towards our next Patreon goal. Reaching that goal will increase the weekly release of Demon Sword Maiden from two chapters to three.

I have weak tear glands, I always found myself tearing up whenever I watch Fairy Tail, even in scenes that not actually remotely tear-jerking. My eyes will get wet just from the sight of a character crying on the other side of the screen.

Although I do have to admit that Fairy Tail, despite being shunned by some fans for whatever reason, has great characters development. Because otherwise, there’s just no way you’d be able to invoke tears in the audience if the characters have a shallow background. I once wished I could reach that level of writing one day, where my fiction could move the readers with an emotional roller coaster.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 66

I think I might need another editor for Demon Sword Maiden soon. I mean, I don’t have a problem with the current editor, he does great and high-quality work, but he also has other commitments so he works on the slow side. I’m thinking that maybe I should hire another editor to help ease up his work and also for preparation when we reached the next Patreon goal.

Okay, the next goal hasn’t actually been determined yet but obviously, I’d be increasing the amount of commissioned chapters per week when we do reach that goal. So I will need more than 1 editor to help keep up with the increasing workload. If you are interested to apply, please fill in the form in this post and submit your application.

Demon Sword Maiden Chapter 65

Well, damn… me and my big mouth… I saw a Japanese translator looking for a paid job, so I approached him with only the intention to ask around, but now it looks like the talk is proceeding towards actually hiring him for the job. What do you guys think I should do? Think of this as an investment and hire him to translate a Japanese Gender Bender series at the rate of 1 chapter per week?

I’m poor so I can only afford 4-5 chapters per month at the rate he’s asking (which is a very reasonable rate, mind you). And this investment comes directly from my own pocket with no support from Patreons (yet). I plan to slowly gather support from the Patreon so I can pay off the translations and turn this investment into a profit. But of course, just like with all my other novels, the more patrons I can gather, the more chapters I can commission from the translator.

To anyone that supports this plan, feel free to suggest a Japanese Gender Bender novel you’d like to be picked up, but of course, if you can support this project on Patreon (not available yet), it would be all the better.

P.S. To Kreyton, if I decide to go ahead with this plan, I can add Yotogi no Kuni no Gekkouhime to the lists of possible translations along with a few others. What I’m planning for now is to have the translator translates the synopsis of a few Gender Bender series and have the Patrons vote for which one to pick up.
