I binge read the finale of a web novel I had accidentally dropped over a year ago.
It’s weird how those things work out.
Honestly you could tell the author started losing interest.
Things were getting faster and faster, the climaxes were getting shorter and shorter.
In general the whole thing sort of just run out of steam.
Which is a shame but that’s how things go.
Genshin Impact is after my wallet.
I’ll definitely be getting Keqing’s outfit for obvious reasons, she’s why I started the game after all.
But the problem is working out if I want to roll the gacha…
And if I do… for which waifu?
Shenhe and Ganyu are both high priority candidates for waifu attributes.
But neither fill a gameplay niche I particularly have a need for…
I’ve been playing Jurassic World Evolution 2 a lot recently.
For some reason I had a strong urge to put a project I had in mind together in it.
I’m honestly not sure why I got that urge though.
I think it’s because I was watching a youtube video showcasing some mods…?
I might be surprisingly easily influenced.
As with many people I’ve been playing Endwalker.
How to explain where I am in the story without spoiling it.
Let’s see…
Nope can’t think of a way!
Uh… Urianger just rejoined the party after my solo adventure in the First?
Maybe that narrows it down without spoiling anything?
I downloaded manual mods for a game today.
It’s the first time in years that I’ve used something other than the steam workshop for mods.
It brings back some memories to when I was playing Zoo Tycoon 2.
Those were the days.
I never got half the mods working for that game which I wanted though.
The guides weren’t kid friendly back then.
It’s getting increasingly hard to edit these chapters without making persona jokes.
The problem is I’ve never played persona so even if I want to make jokes I barely can.
Such a shame.
So I’m relying on you guys in the comments to make them for me.
I’ll give a prize to the best one.
It’ll be a thumbs up and a comment pin!
Yes, you can get your comment pinned! Limited time offer.
The Stellaris mod I work on got updated.
Currently it’s only two of the smaller stories I worked on.
That’s an event chain for the Red Dawn origin based around Mars and Earth.
-The event chain adds some simple rewards and is mostly for roleplay, in which you restore the ISS 2
The entire On The Edge origin, which converts aspects of Frostpunk over to Stellaris for roleplay and theming.
-Your homeworld is facing an ice age! Do what you can to survive before it freezes over!
And the Three Body Problem origin, which is a much smaller origin and event mostly for aesthetic purposes, based on the book by the same name.
-Not actually sure how this one got implemented yet. There were a lot of conditional things in my draft which might have been exchanged or removed.
I might work on expanding them with player feedback.
Hmm in a couple of weeks I should probably tally up my free funds and start calculating what I will commission next.
Sadly I failed my job application so I can’t rely on the extra income to afford my previous pace.
If only I had another form of income, oh well.
I have three things lined up too, so I’ll have to work out which order to pace them in, otherwise it could get problematic.
Ah finances are a pain.
Maybe I should consider writing an original with a patreon after all.
This chapter is about night markets.
Which is great because recently in our tabletop Cyberpunk playthrough we were at one.
Just a fun coincidence.
I’ve actually been planning to build a new weapon in Cyberpunk.
But I need to finish assigning my level up points.
I have way too many!
Specifically I need to boost my invention and fabrication skills.
The new anime season is in just a few weeks.
I need to start looking at what will be airing next!
I know that Realist Hero Part 2 will be airing, which is exciting.
My friend is going on about Girls Frontline so I think that will be next season.
I think Princess Connect and Genius Prince are airing too.
Well next season will hopefully be less packed than this season.
This season was too hectic!
I spent all of today reading a mecha web novel.
The writing was pretty iffy and the translation was on the lower end.
But it was passable as reading material.
I spent most of the time reading it thinking about how I’d rewrite segments to improve the story.
I’d especially slow down the plot progression, each arc felt really short and some events were glossed over entirely.
Well, that’s just how I felt about it personally.
It reminded me of an old mecha novel I read at some point that I want to find again now.
I find it funny I remember that one so often and keep desiring to find it again.
There was nothing special about it but for some reason I can’t remember it.
My copy of the next Arpeggio volume finally dispatched.
Wow it’s been a long wait.
Combined with the delays for Trapped In A Dating Sim it’s been over a year of waiting!
Combined that is.
That’s a lot of delays for a book.
But finally they come soon!
Actually in one more volumes time for Dating Sim I’ll be caught up with where I left off reading the fan translation, which is quite exciting.
I have to say though that Seven Seas physical light novels are… a pain to read.
They’re just way too huge!
I actually read ahead from this chapter onwards hahaha.
Oops.
I normally don’t do that so my reactions can be fresh as I edit them for footnote content.
Otherwise I sort of gloss over them or fail to recapture my first impressions.
It’s tiring trying to come up with footnotes for something you’ve already read in it’s own way.
That’s why some chapters have less than others, it’s usually when I’m uninterested or when I was too interested and read ahead.
Now you have an interesting guessing game to play haha!
