The act of hunting for a job is extremely draining when you have social anxiety to factor in.
Especially since the area I live is either retail or retirement, it’s just the worst location for someone of my personality.
Well I will keep looking, I also have my first meeting about job searching with my coach on Monday so hopefully it’s productive.
I doubt it though, honestly I have no idea what to look for.
I want to sigh out loud just thinking about it.
So how are people doing with Sumeru.
I’ve finished all the world quests and almost finished 100% with all the individual regions.
I’m just missing a couple of things and then I will focus on the new event.
I also need to hope that I get the new commissions needed for the final few world quests too.
It’s so problematic that they lock them behind rng like this.
Oh well, plenty of time.
Let’s talk space.
A lot of space related things happened this week.
For starters, Stellaris announced their new DLC pack. Toxoids.
The gimmick is basically around species that are either dependent on harmful gasses to survive, or produce them through wanton industrialisation.
And NASA failed to launch their new era of space flight… twice.
Looks like the moon base is a long way off.
Hopefully they get their act together.
For some reason today I had the urge to start rewatching the Valkyria Chronicles anime.
That was a very random desire.
I don’t recall really doing anything to warrant that at all though, bit odd in my opinion.
I wonder what could have caused it.
Maybe I just wanted to admire the Edelweiss again?
Well the new Genshin region can only be described as “overwhelming”.
The ararananaa questline is massive and time consuming.
The map is massive, so much verticality and changing overworld mechanics.
I don’t think I’m going to manage to unlock the reputation system this week, oh well.
I wonder how all of your exploration is going?
I started watching Yamato 2205 today.
I regret this decision greatly.
Only four episodes are subbed and it ends on a cliffhanger!
It’s the best kind too! Not the annoying type, but the hype type!
Argh.
I might have to add more Yamato themed weapons to my stellaris mod. Just to scratch that itch.
Whew let me tell you, the past couple of days have been wild.
A total of four art commissions I made have been posted, and one of them really popped off!
As of currently counting it stands at almost 3000 likes!
What on Earth!
Wow it’s insane.
Also the comm before that is at 800 likes!
For the record, the previous highest like count was 300!
The new one is ten times higher!!!
It’s been a busy week for me at work with lots of exhaustion, but I think most of that was because of the heat.
I’m a bit worried about going forward because they’ve put another heatwave warning out.
And the country is in the middle of a drought.
I find it amusing that the countermeasures to droughts is causing us to waste water though.
AKA increasing the pressure of water pipes, but accidentally causing many of them to burst and leak as a consequence.
I just got in from watching the Perseid meteor shower.
It’s my first time actually committing to going somewhere far away to watch something like this, but it was a lot of fun.
Sadly the moon was quite bright so I didn’t see as many as I could have, but there were more than a handful of pretty ones.
A few really bright fireballs, and some with really nice tails that went over a long distance.
I can get why people like shooting stars.
Recently I’ve been really wanting someone to make an Orville inspired shipset for Stellaris.
I think they’d make some really good ship models for it.
Mostly because of the tensor coil spoilers on the back, they have a nice distinct visual flair.
Also smooth curved ships are a luxury in stellaris, they have a weird obsession with cubes.
I had two days off work this week, it was rather interesting.
The first day they were closed, then the day after they had a burst water mains so I had to go home early.
Well there wasn’t much work to do that day anyway for me.
Or rather, I wish I had known before I went in. I could have got more sleep.
How cruel of them.
I randomly got a flash of inspiration for my Stellaris mod today and I didn’t realise how much of an ordeal the simple concept would be to put into practice, test and balance.
Basically all I wanted to do was add solar sails as a thruster alternative for the plantoid shipset, since the leaves on their ships are canonically solar sails.
However aside from easily making them limited to plantoids, it was a real pain making several versions of the same sails for each ship size and then testing them so I didn’t accidentally make a gamebreaking addition to the tech tree.
Well it should be fine, they are a tad OP in theory but by the time you can make use of that OPness they’re pretty much obsolete by newer tech unlocks.
Hopefully it will balance out and give some nice roleplay potential for people.
This week has been massively Light Novel heavy for me, not entirely sure why.
Allow me to explain. On top of my usual regular reading from J-Novels weekly updates.
I’ve read:
Several volumes of Genius Prince.
The entirety of Dirty Way to Destroy the Goddess’ Heroes.
And now I’m catching up on Hidden Dungeon.
There is another rail strike in my area next week, starting on Wednesday.
Is the universe conspiring against me being able to get into work?
It’s such a strange thing to have to deal with.
I really don’t want to get the bus too because I’m too unfamiliar with the route and it sets off my anxiety.
It’d be okay if it was a direct bus or I was getting from one terminal to another.
But it involves getting three different busses and swapping at some random streets I don’t know.
This anime seasons greatest hit I think is LycoReco.
The character dynamics are great.
The animation is lively.
Voice cast are giving 110%.
And despite literally having an episode about pantsu there wasn’t even a single pure fanservice shot the entire time.
Everything about it is on point, going to be really hard to beat.
