I applied to a job today that needed an absurd number of details…
But the most annoying one was TWO references for character, one of which HAD to be your previous employer…
Now I have nothing against my last employer, nor do they have anything against me…

The problem is… they’re kind of… not a thing anymore.
So I don’t really see how I can provide their details…
So yeah. That’s going to be fun I guess.

So the new XIV content update just aired, I was watching…
Hmmm… yup that cosmic stuff is my doom. I will have my life sucked away by that.
My Star Trek loving heart could never be still after seeing that.
And a magitek mech thing? I want it.
The uniform? I want it.

In the meantime I guess I’ll keep working on my Island Sanctuary. It’s been about two weeks since I started, and I have reached Rank 10.
I dunno how fast I will reach 20 but I plan to use it as filler to buy time in this lack of content that appeals to my super casual self.

It is now time for me to crash out, I woke up very early today, I even did my gacha stuff early.

I played Carcassonne with my youngest brother and his friends today.
It was quite nostalgic for me, considering I used to play this in school with my friends too.
Except they were playing with some expansion thing so it was actually new and refreshing too.

This makes me want my Stellaris board game to finally hurry up… it’s been YEARS since I paid for it!

With one of my major light novel series I have been reading coming to an end I guess I have to find something else now…
I wonder what I should consider picking up.
The problem with a longer ongoing series is if they still have all the books in print…

Catching up on the last of the weeks content on GFL2 was a blast.
Honestly, I’m really glad that they brought back Dandelion in full force as a companion, it’s nice to have the turbo gremlin along for the ride once more.
I enjoyed her presence, even if she did kind of overshadow the other characters and events.

Well, you could tell the event was written in a rush to bridge a gap on CN after the game ran into drama and went through rewrites.
It’s a pivot point for course correction rather than a properly structured story event.

While i was editing this one I got a youtube video recommendation for a GTA roleplay video, so I figured I’d give it a watch.
I’ve actually watched a few of these in the past, and I like roleplay videos in general.
I’d like to find some channels that do the whole roleplay scenario type stuff in other games too but they seem far too niche and it’s hard to find ones with good quality.

Which is a shame, because it’s such a cool medium.

Update on my progress with Dawntrail: The entire story so far has been me saying “They could have done this so much better if…” at all but about two scenes.
I don’t understand why they billed this expansion as a “summer vacation” when literally the weight of an entire continent is on your shoulders, and to make matters worst, you’re not even allowed to take direct action to resolve it! You’re telling me I am here to relax but then keep impressing on me that a crisis is imminent?

Also you have THREE characters that are directly relevant to the story why is only ONE of them talking non stop?! LET THE GIRL BREATHE!
I don’t even have anything against her but the two scenes I have actually enjoyed are ones where she is otherwise indisposed in some way.
Absolutely loved the sparring duel against her father, that was the first time in the story it felt like the Warrior of Light was just having fun with everything after saving the world for the nth time.
I also really liked the whole sequence of events where Wuk Lamat got kidnapped, not because I dislike her, but just because her absence let other characters actually do something
We finally got to spend time with other people! It did also help that the final part of that sequence was you getting to just have the imposing aura of someone who has seen it all, enough to set off warning bells in the young upstart and intimidate them.

Sorry for the sudden rant.
I will do it again.
This is both a promise and a threat.
(I think I am about a third of the way through the main story quest currently so updates are pending)

I got a delivery of light novels today!
The final volume of Trapped in a Dating Sim is finally in my hands.
Sadly after flicking through it seems they didn’t redo the image that celebrated the end of the web novel version with everyone in wedding dresses.
Well, I haven’t read it to see if the ending is different either yet so, I will have to get to that.

I liked that image though.

Today I randomly decided that I really want Gacha Girl Corp to get an anime.
No specific reason, it’s not a great novel or manga or anything.
The girls are so-so, story so-so, art so-so… etc.

But I just feel like it would translate to a dumb fun anime really well.
Plus it’s gacha.

So before Christmas I read ahead a bit because I was curious and found a really funny error in this chapter.
I left it there, but I have been impatiently searching each chapter before this to see if it’s the one with the error in it or not.
To my dismay… Silva corrected it before I could reach it.

Anyway, I left our messages about it in the footnotes, you’ll see the exchange.
I feel like I have lost something because of it. But it’s really nothing significant, it just amused me for no real reason.
