The latest episode of Realist Hero was one of my favourite scenes in the novel.
I’m not sure if the twist hits quite as well when you see it coming though.
But it’s still a great character introduction.
In other news I’m readdicted to No Man’s Sky.
Not sure how long this one will last though, it’s a game that runs out of things to do if you play too quickly.
Although the updates are great and frequent they generally have very little content in terms of actual gameplay time.
I meant to go to sleep early today and then somehow found myself reading random news articles online.
They weren’t even interesting news articles.
I just found myself incessantly clicking link after link.
Well at least now I have revisited my knowledge on silicon based life, competition in commercial space flights and the problems with reduced rates in scientific peer review.
I meant to change my bedsheets today.
I literally prepared them all, had them arranged for swapping over.
And then just forgot about it until I went to get into bed.
This is why you shouldn’t try to arrange to do everything at once, you end up overlooking one thing.
And it’s always an annoying thing to overlook.
Oh well. Tomorrow it is.
So my mod for Stellaris is in a state where I can say that I like how much content it adds, but I’d really like to add way more.
The problem is the rules I’ve set for myself that everything has to be themed after something and still fit vanilla.
I really want to try and do something defence related but I need to work out how to do it.
First I need something to theme it on.
But what I want to do is try and use that ring gateway thing as like an orbital station or defence platform.
No idea how though, it’s a little complex for my smooth brain.
It’s valentines!
Lets all console ourselves with chocolates and funny memes.
In the meantime it’s now 6am.
I should really stop my habit of playing games for like 12 hours straight.
It’s a really bad habit.
Anyway here are your chapters.
My mod hit 200 subscribers today! Wooooo!
It also lost 14 subscribers… not so woo!
Why am I sharing this?
Well the only other thing I could think to talk about in this ramble was Star Trek again.
Oh I suppose I could talk about the fact that I’m a little worried about one of the artists I usually commission.
They haven’t replied in a week which is very unlike them, so I hope nothing bad has happened to them.
I’ve been editing and preparing to upload these chapters while someone has been binge reading this novel.
I know this because they have frequently commented as I’ve been working, so I get a new notification every short while.
I have to admit that reading their impressions was amusing, albeit distracting.
I’m starting to think I have a distraction problem when it comes to do the scheduling of these things.
So I finally caught up on the news about the ISS and stuff.
I think it’s quite interesting, I’m not as emotional about it as I thought though.
The ISS was a big part of my ideals in many ways, but I think it has started to fizzle out, just like the honeymoon period of its existence as a whole has.
The interest and benefit is not there as much anymore.
The second season of Princess Connect is being quite interesting.
They’re not following all the beats of the games main story, but seem to be opting to adapt the side content from old events in a seemingly arbitrary order.
And then tying in some subplots from the main story into them.
Honestly, whoever wrote this must have either been a fan of the game or was very dedicated to their research.
Some of the references and event content they’ve covered are relatively niche as far as I am aware.
My migraine has finally passed so I was able to focus and do these ones!
Hurray.
In other news, taking advantage of my recovered state I worked a bit more on fine tuning my mod for Stellaris, you know as you typically would.
So far I’ve adjusted the damage numbers for the new weapons a bit to be more in line with the vanilla, though I do need to adjust one of them further.
Then I added a new aux tech for ships to increase evasion.
And now I am adding a new type of jump-drive.
I got a random friend request on steam today.
I wonder why.
I checked their profile and the only reason I can imagine why is because of Stellaris.
I suppose I am technically listed as a contributor to a semi-popular mod on the workshop because I do the flavour text writing for the events and popups.
So I was supposed to be editing this but I ended up binging an isekai.
In my defence this time it was a good isekai.
It was about a magical doorway that opened in another world once a week to let guests come and eat food.
A ridiculous premise if you ask me.
I’m joking of course, I quite enjoyed it.
My only complaint was that it focused on food and I don’t care about food.
Would have been cool if there was some more plot to it, like the rare problem to resolve that required them teaming up or using a quick other world cheat.
