For some reason recently my phone decided to update all the app icons for the mandatory apps.
Like the contacts list and text menu etc…
All of them look really awkward on the eye now, they have this two tone shaded effect like two icons overlapping each other.
It’s really weird, and every time I notice it I get annoyed.

I had my first instance of helping someone on genshin randomly today.
Someone messaged on a discord that they needed three more loti for raising Nahida, so I offered my world.
Well I had got my Nahida up to where I wanted her so they had no more value to me.

I should probably track the discussions more because I rarely raise the level of my characters.
I could have helped with peoples scarab hunts.

I looked to my right while editing this and noticed my poster calendar on my wall of Heavy Object.
I’ve had that poster on my wall for years because I really liked the final piece of art for December in it and never replaced it.
I can’t even remember what year I got it for now though haha.
I think I had it when I was at university in fact.

I did a quick google search and it’s the 2017.
It’s that old…
five years old.
Maybe I should think about getting a new calendar some day huh.

Speaking of Genshin, Nahida’s character demo released today.
It seems to be another addition to their Tragical Girl backstory for the poor archon.
They’re really driving that one home as a concept, way to make you care the character.

Well I planned to gacha for her anyway so this is just some extra drive.

With the reorganisation of my light novels and anime collection now officially complete…
I can say I need to re-reorganise them.

As I feared, there is no space for more light novels in their current configuration.
This is a marked improvement over the previous arrangement though, where I just had piles of light novels around my room which I had to move once in a while.
They are now all on shelves, which is great. But there’s no room for more of them…
So what I think I need to do is remove the anime figures from their current shelves and put them on one of my larger shelves.
Although this will reduce their displayability, it will let me use the display shelves for storing the light novels that need less thick shelves.

I started trying to read an original English web novel yesterday and the writing was so painfully cringe it was horrendous.
Look I’m all for overpowered self insert fantasy fulfilment novels.
In fact they might even be my favourite type.

But there is something seriously wrong with your writing if the third chapter has a woman share a bed with the protagonist within an hour of them meeting, and then suddenly develop some weird dependency on the protagonist within a day of them meeting.
It’s just bad character writing.
Anyway, wouldn’t recommend it.

Recently I have been super struggling to find anything decent to read.
It’s like for some reason every web novel that I read has just started to evaporate…
I guess the translators are dropping them or the authors are…
Well the actual most likely reason is now that the world is returning to normal after all the lockdowns everyones too busy to write and translate full time.

It’s a shame though because I need stuff to reeeeead.
Which is annoying.
Or maybe I’ve just got pickier in my tastes?

Today I was reminded of the fact I’ve been wanting to buy a new chair for my PC.
I totally forgot about it while I had spare money working for some reason, really weird.
Anyway I decided that I will start saving up for that since it will prevent me doing something stupid like playing a new gacha game or buying some artwork again.

I always save money better when I have something to aim towards, I’m really good at saving for a purpose.

I got way to caught up in the manga I was reading and totally forgot to check the time, so now I’m doing this before I sleep.

For the record the manga I’m reading is good though, I defend my right to stay up and read it!
I only have twenty more chapters till the end.
I’m sure the ending will be good… but I get the feeling this one was axed honestly.
