Recently my phone has been periodically freezing up. Or at the very least the touch screen has stopped responding.
Simply turning the screen off and on again fixes it, but the frequency is a concern.
The phone is basically five years old at this point, it wouldn’t be strange to upgrade it.
Maybe I will have to probably start considering it.
Hm, I’ll start looking into it. I did a few months ago but decided to put it off, but this might be the sign I need.
I have caught up with the latest update of Neural Cloud now, story wise anyway.
It seems in a couple of days they’re releasing a new character with a mini-story.
And then after that there will be another update adding to the side story content.
But for now, I am up to day, and can focus on obtaining the mythical “algorithm” equipment items.
I’ve farmed them a little bit and concluded that they are better than genshins artifacts by a lot, however have their own drawbacks.
What interests me though is the game has content up to 60k team power and I’m barely pushing 25k with a max level team.
Looks like there is a lot of team power you can get from algorithms, skill upgrades and rarity increases.
Interestingly the last of my friends quit Nikke today.
It seems that the games playerbase isn’t going to last, let’s hope the whales can keep it afloat then?
Seriously though they somehow managed to do everything wrong for this game for what was a really decent core concept.
I’m not sure how.
Apparently the straw that broke the camels back for them was the fact that the christmas characters are going to be entirely new characters to gacha for, instead of just skins for the existing character. Making them even more pay to win because the dupes won’t count.
I really need to tidy up my emails again soon.
For some reason I’ve been slacking the past couple of weeks.
I used to literally clear out my emails every day except for the ones I needed to keep.
It’s strange how habits drop in and out seemingly at random in ways like this.
My parents put up the christmas tree a couple of days ago, normally this is a large event.
Mostly because my mother is extremely fussy over decorations, so even though she made it out to be a family event only she was allowed to decorate.
Well she didn’t really make a big deal of it this year so it was assembled and decorated rather quickly.
Is this really pre-chapter ramble material? Nah not at all.
But you know, it’s christmas themed and adds a personal touch I guess?
I watched a very interesting theory positing about how humanity could have evolved so early in the universe.
Well it was some crazy assumption models for statistics, so not real science at all.
It’s one of those things borders closer on philosophy with mathematics than anything anyone would actually believe.
Anyway it was interesting, but nothing more than that.
I did enjoy seeing the though process behind it though.
Boy am I glad that there’s one more day till December when I have to schedule this.
I know I say this almost every month, but it’s a real pain scheduling a chapter for the following month.
Because the date scheduler uses a dropdown system for the month so I have to click and scroll and update the day.
It’s annoying to say the least.
But this is going up on the last day of the month! So I don’t have to! And it’s my last set of chapters this week!
So that means next week I’ll be scheduling cleanly in the month of December.
Oh gods… I should get into gear. The christmas chapters need editing…
Given this games purpose as an idle game… I’m suprised at how much I have to micromanage it when it’s doing missions.
I was thinking of leaving it running while I did these chapters and the chapters took me two hours longer than usual.
That’s a crazy delay just because I kept having to empty out my inventory on a game that was autofilling.
Do you ever have days where you’re really tired, and want to do something to enjoy yourself and relax… but just don’t have the energy?
I think I might be hitting peak burnout by playing three different gacha games concurrently.
I’ve already forgotten to make time for Genshin these past few days…
Actually I even forgot Genshin in that count.
So technically I’m supposed to be playing four gacha games. Crazy right.
Neural Cloud is out, the rougelike-arknights-esque spinoff of Girls Frontline.
The story is quite interesting in concept, there are a few decisions they made that I don’t personally like much though.
I’m not sure they’re really making the most of their virtual world setting but we’ll see.
So far I like it, we’ll see how it is in gameplay.
At least it won’t be as pay to win as Nikke though.
Sorry if these chapters go up late, I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time chasing the problem with my payments.
I’ve got a meeting scheduled now, so everything has been thrown out of whack but at least a resolution might be reached.
Oh we shall see anyway.

This time it’s called Gate.
Which is interesting because I was considering going back to GATE once again soon.
Great concept, honestly I wish I could write something similar but with a bit more focus on kingdom building and technology spread.
So Yen Press announced an omnibus edition of A Certain Magical Index.
That’s 24 books in total, so it’ll probably come to around 250ish in price.
That’s quite a lot for someone like me who is poor and jobless!
Thus I now have a mission.
Find any job before its release that I can tolerate, and build up some savings so I can buy the special edition.

Well it’s inevitable. Nobody actually does true genuine award shows anymore.
Okay I have to confess I literally forgot to schedule these until the second I was about to power off my computer.
Then my brain suddenly kicked into gear and reminded me.
The editing might be a bit hodgepodge because I’m really tired, this is my fault. I take full blame.
Also side note, after giving Nikke some playtime I’ve concluded that it’s a good game in core functionality, but so insanely pay to win.
Definitely won’t be spending any money on this game, don’t want to reinforce the feedback loop they’re trying to set up.
I mean it’s ridiculous how the gacha works on that game.
