Whenever I see the translator for the chapter listed as Keissen I end up thinking of Kekkai Sensen.
I may have rambled about this before, but I find it a really interesting case study in anime adaptation.
That’s because the first season is more popular with anime original watchers, since it ties itself to an original bigger narrative. While the second season is more popular with the manga readers, since it more closely follows the mangas eclectic shorter narratives.
The result is that half of its audience are dissatisfied with anime, it’s just a case of which.
Well, okay fair there are fans of all of the above, those exist too.
After joking about viewing an argument on the previous post I got into an argument with a friend in the middle of this post.
Weird how that works out.
I actually stressed myself over it, I don’t know why I get so worked up when it comes to that friend… maybe because I actually care about their opinions? Which is annoying because we have opposite opinions on a lot of things so I think we both kind of annoy each other whenever we try to discuss things…
I got distracted by an argument happening on discord so I ended up forgetting what I was going to type for this ramble.
For the record, the argument was about the state of rpg livestreams, the tabletop kind I mean.
There was a lot of stuff being thrown around about pandering and such.
I also somehow just accidentally bit my lip… doing nothing… so that’s fun.
This chapter was too beautiful for me to leave my usual inane commentary on so I left it clean.
But don’t think it was because I didn’t have things to say.
Because I did.
I just removed them…

I played Carcassonne with my youngest brother and his friends today.
It was quite nostalgic for me, considering I used to play this in school with my friends too.
Except they were playing with some expansion thing so it was actually new and refreshing too.
This makes me want my Stellaris board game to finally hurry up… it’s been YEARS since I paid for it!

With one of my major light novel series I have been reading coming to an end I guess I have to find something else now…
I wonder what I should consider picking up.
The problem with a longer ongoing series is if they still have all the books in print…

I did my first Alliance Raid roulette after returning to XIV a few weeks ago now and finishing the story catch up.
I got Paradigm’s Breach. The final nier raid.
I remembered barely any of the mechanics, and died twice in total? Might have been three times actually?
In my defense one time was because I genuinely had no idea what to expect from the mechanic, the other times were just my stupidity.
I’d say that was a good showing on my behalf honestly.
My favourite thing about major Blue Archive content updates is trying to guess which way the app will break for me, and if I will need to do a total reinstall of it again just to get it to work properly.
Currently the app is working without a reinstall, but the video cut-ins for skill usage are broken so I have had to disable them.
So yeah, that’s how my game is going… fun right?
My hair is starting to reach the stage where the fringe is starting to overhang my glasses instead of just resting on top of them…
This means I will need to go and get it cut properly soon.
That requires an investment of effort on my behalf, woe is my life…
I’d have to wake up at reasonable hours, walk into town, sit and wait, then interact with humans, then exchange currency… the bane of an insomniac NEET.
I finally finished the Dawntrail base MSQ.
It uh, took a while.
I spent maybe 7 hours in total trying to get into the Sphene boss battle trial?
I understand why it was unpopular… I died… a lot in that fight.
Also… the hype deflated super quickly… like really fast… that final phase was just… yeah.
You know I wanted to be fast doing these chapters but I still ended up taking an hour…
I really need to work on my time management. Or really I just need to stop multitasking.
It never works for me.
But that won’t stop me either, because doing multiple things at once feels better for me, somehow.
The Project Neural Cloud story event was decent.
It was a bit of a sudden jump in time, but they’re racing to a climax so I understood the function of it.
The only thing I think that bothered me was that the previous event had that botched outsourced translation, so I had to rely on someone’s summary of it to get some of the key details that were needed to understand this event.
I understand schedules and stuff, but I really feel doing a major story event right after a screwed up major story event was a bad move. A really bad one.
Catching up on the last of the weeks content on GFL2 was a blast.
Honestly, I’m really glad that they brought back Dandelion in full force as a companion, it’s nice to have the turbo gremlin along for the ride once more.
I enjoyed her presence, even if she did kind of overshadow the other characters and events.
Well, you could tell the event was written in a rush to bridge a gap on CN after the game ran into drama and went through rewrites.
It’s a pivot point for course correction rather than a properly structured story event.
While i was editing this one I got a youtube video recommendation for a GTA roleplay video, so I figured I’d give it a watch.
I’ve actually watched a few of these in the past, and I like roleplay videos in general.
I’d like to find some channels that do the whole roleplay scenario type stuff in other games too but they seem far too niche and it’s hard to find ones with good quality.
Which is a shame, because it’s such a cool medium.
