I started watching The Grand Tour recently with my family.
Man is it hilarious.
I used to love this trio on Top Gear and I’m really glad that Grand Tour eventually worked out, it’s basically become a best of both worlds.
The first season is a bit iffy but when they start to just follow the challenge format that they did for Top Gear specials it’s a spectacle of joy.
Even though the staging is a little more obvious for some parts, the comedy is still top tier.
I forgot to do the Genshin event for the past few days and haven’t logged into FGO since Christmas.
Maybe gacha is starting to lose its hold on me?
Ah who am I kidding, I just don’t have enough hours in the day to do everything I mean to do.
Doesn’t help that I oversleep so much.
Anyway, back to doing nothing and lamenting my lack of time.
Hey guys!
This is my first post for the year!
I almost forgot to make it because my schedule has been out of whack since Christmas, especially with how much time I’ve been spending on X4.
Sadly my enthusiasm for that game got killed a bit today when I realised the “completely dynamic universe where the AI and player operate on the same rules” means literally anything can happen.
Including gamebreaking situations like entire NPC factions being removed from existence and thus locking off all their content permanently.
I do like that the game is totally dynamic and dependant on player actions, but I feel like this lack of control causes too many irrecoverable situations now.
I forgot to do my Genshin login because I was distracted with X4.
Alas.
Guess I’ll have to try and remember to do both tomorrow. Or today, since it’s 5am.
I somehow managed to tank the Silicon economy in my X4 game by overmining.
I used to get 130,000 per haul but now I’m lucky to get 110,00 per haul.
That might not seem like much until you realise how frequently my vessels unload their hauls! The per haul drop isn’t over significant but the accumulated loss in profits is a massive dent in my plans to create a mining empire!
Well actually it’s not too bad, I just need to locate another system that I haven’t destroyed the economy of. Or reallocate one of my silicon vessels to mine ice or something instead to let the economy recover from my overabundance.
There were so many editor and translator comments this chapter it was insane!
I got dizzy just trying to remember which ones I had copied over properly and which ones I hadn’t!
Or maybe that was just because I was multitasking a game in the background?
I just got kidnapped by a mining ship in X4….
I was exploring the new feature of being able to walk around your ship and stations, I didn’t realise the teleporter took me to docked ships as well as new station modules!
I saw a bridge on the teleport list and started walking around the bridge! It turned out it was a huge mining vessel and it started to fly away!
This left me stranded on their ship since I couldn’t go back to the station where my ship was. I was a stowaway!
I had to order one of the my NPCs to dock at the big ship and pick me up in order to escape. I’m just lucky it was a big mining ship that kidnapped me, if it had been a smaller one then I would have to wait until it landed somewhere else!
I started playing X4 which my friends bought me for Christmas.
I’m having a lot of fun as a former avid player of X3!
There are some major differences which I’m slowly trying to adapt too, least of which being the SETA not being a default component anymore.
My usual money making schemes either don’t work or need adjusting.
I can’t tell if trading is easier or harder yet…but it’s different.
Getting out of my chair is a joy though! I’m in love with it! I hope the bigger ships have more than just a cockpit to look around in.
I’m sorry guys! This chapter is unedited because we forgot to account for Christmas releases!
A lot of things have been hectic over at the site, and I haven’t had time to calm down after Christmas courtesy of living with my family.
Anyway things should return to normal soon hopefully, just sit tight and overlook the glaring mistakes.
Sorry if the quality dips a bit, translating and editing is a time consuming process and we all have lives.
So as I schedule this some storm is passing by where I live and it’s suuuuper window down here.
The UK doesn’t get very many major weather, and this would probably pass as a light breeze in some other places.
But it’s causing quite a bit of havoc down here because nothing has been built or designed with these levels of abuse from mother gaia in mind.
For some reason today, for no reason, my friend suddenly started talking about Nier Automata and doing a deep dive on its philosophy.
I do think it’s an interesting topic and I love the writing of that game.
But I really can’t mentally justify the price for it when I know that I will suck at and probably dislike the gameplay.
I’m just not good at those sort of third person action rpgs really.
I barely scrape by on Genshin and that’s mechanically simple in comparison.
This is the end!
Merry Christmas everyone!
I hope you’re all having a great couple of days and enjoy yourselves.
It’s been a roller coaster of a year for both ReLibrary and the world.
This is the end of my 25 chapters of posting, I don’t know what sort of schedule the others are posting their novels on but be sure to give them a try!
Next up: New Year!
After this chapter is scheduled there will only be one more chapter left.
It’s been a lot of chapters to schedule and has taken some many hours but my hard work is finally complete.
Also if anyone is reading this and wants to buy me a present for my hard work,
I’d really love someone to buy me Spore on GOG.
Hint hint.
This chapter is called Adaptive Maid.
I kind of want art of Lily in a maid uniform now.
I haven’t read the chapter yet because I’m editing as I schedule but I imagine it’s not the classic anime maid uniform though.
I don’t think Japan had imported French and British icons by this era.
