So while I was doing the editing for this I noticed we had a form submission about translating something. Normally I wouldn’t care, not my field.
But the title was “Summoner Swordmaster’s Space Battleship” and I don’t know about you but I am intrigued.
I have no clue how those words fit together but when I see Space Battleship my interest is piqued.
There needs to be more sci-fi novels translated.
Fantasy dominates too much.
If anyone actually has any idea what this novel is drop a comment synopsis for me will ya.
So the Star Rail final beta and effective prerelease campaign is now fully underway.
Are you guys hyped to play it?
I heard they’re releasing it on the Epic Games Store?
Seems odd since Honkai is on Steam but it’s whatever.
As long as they still have a direct client like Genshin I will be happy.
If I have to get it through Epic then count me out though.
Twice today did I mistake this for Demon Sword Maiden while trying to prepare to schedule.
I’m not even sure how.
I guess my brain just autopilot defaults to DSM when doing things on this site because it is what I have done the longest.
Do you ever get a craving for a specific brand of something for no particular reason?
I really wanted some sort of mint cake today.
But alas, I am saving money for a greater purpose.
My gacha funds.
No I joke, it’s not for gacha, I want to buy something for the rpg I am running.
But I don’t want to make it easy on myself, so I will only buy it after I have a certain amount of money saved up to discourage my spending.
Belfast was trending on twitter today.
Sadly it was not about the Azur Lane ship.
I’m not actually sure what it was about, because clicking the trend brought up every tweet mentioning Belfast and they were extremely random and all over the place.
The algorithm decreed it trending though.
Is anyone else really annoyed by twitter’s new feed system.
The old style with the button was a little annoying, but at least it would remember when I set it to show latest.
Now it just defaults back to the algorithm feed every time I open twitter, and I have to switch it over.
It’s really annoying when I just want to check it every so often between other things instead of just leaving it open.
Also Wikipedia got a new layout.
It’s horrible. So much unused space. The only good thing it had was the content menu scrolling with you now.
But the rest is terrible.
I have been hard at work dissecting the rulebook for the Star Trek Adventures so I can run the RPG for my friends.
I have decided they will be using the Norway Class vessel USS Valkyria NCC-64947.
Naturally of course the 47 there is 42 adjusted for inflation.
Now I just need to continue learning what the rules actually mean, building my cheat sheets for reference, and then going back to the plot drawing board.
I have a few “episodes” of adventures in mind, but I need to pick one to really flesh out.
I’m thinking of running the Star Trek Adventures tabletop rpg.
I think I will set it around the Lower Decks/Prodigy era, before Picard is set.
Mostly because I want to avoid the weird AI uprising stuff and the Borg becoming a Federation member.
Really weird writing choices personally.
I have some idea for a first mission and stuff.
The hardest part is choosing the hero ship honestly.
Part of me wants to go for the Nova class but those things are veeery underpowered.
I opened my Stellaris mod to update it six hours ago.
I have made, no progress. I literally, looked at the wiki.
And then just did other stuff with it still open.
This is true procrastination.
I hate number crunching though.
Eugh. I’ll try to get it out the way.
So when I schedule these chapters the link for the page can’t process the title and thus it renames itself “Sword, Tiara & High Heels”.
This throws me off every time I do it, because I think I made a mistake entering the title but no.
I’m still trying to rewire myself to recognise it as normal but I still think I accidentally hit some keys or something.
I survived my course.
I will be getting my certificate.
I’m glad I survived, though there was a close call one day, that worked out in the end.
Anyway, one thing I almost forgot to do was schedule this! Because I just decided to spend the entire day being lazy.
That was close, I lost track of the day.
On the topic of New Year stuff.
My resolution is to make more money so that I can commission more art.
And also to play more games.
I haven’t properly sunk my time into a game for about half a year now, except mobile games.
For some reason I’ve just had no motivation to play full length games lately.
It’s really annoying because I want something to play.
But nothing feels right.
Happy New Year everyone!
It’s actually just leading up to New Year for me as I edit this, so it’s probably well beyond New Year for most people when this goes live.
But this is the earliest chapter I have available to schedule so that’s how we’ll handle it.
I got totally distracted today.
Sadly I found out some bad news.
I planned to buy myself some christmas art from a relatively famous artist but they have increased their price.
Which is, somewhat fair I guess… the yen is in freefall essentially.
So for them they need more yen.
And sadly the strength of the pound hasn’t increased by much lately.
So the price increase on their end is not countered by the drop in value of yen.
Net result is I have to pay more. Sad.
