I didn’t get any time to play Stellaris today.
I’m thinking of making a fork of my mod which packages up just the vanilla Stellaris content additions.
Basically just the stuff related to entities already in the game, that aren’t specifically themed after other science fiction franchises.
The buildable Tiyanki, the reverse engineered Mining Drones and the Nanite content probably fit quite neatly together like that.
I’ve been doing some thinking, probably not the best for me.
But it is now in fact coming up to July.
That means this is the last chance to cast your votes for the art you want done!
Friendly reminder.
I’ll be getting Silva to throw out a patreon post once again to remind people.
Let’s come together and think of something good!
We still live in a world where people call Danmachi an isekai.
It pains me.
I did it once by accident too though to be fair.
But that that doesn’t make it any less painful.
Also those of you who call SAO an isekai.
You pain me too.
I hope you suffer.
My copy of Trapped in a Dating Sim otherwise known as The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs finally shipped.
It’s set to arrive next month though. Whew.
Talk about a wait, it’s an entire month overdue now. Well, still no news on my Arpeggio manga so this is better than that at least.
I’m excited to see where the novel goes from here, because this is the volume the fan translation ended at.
It’s all new ground to me!
Somehow I’ve got in to watching Overlord III.
I don’t know why, I jumped off this train ages ago, I barely managed to force myself to complete Overlord II when it was airing.
I guess this is what happens when you crave some isekai you haven’t watched yet?
Or maybe playing Stellaris Overlord has had a subliminal effect on me?
I’ve had this page open for over an hour because I got distracted and now I can’t remember what I wanted to talk about at all.
Oops. I should have wrote a note or something.
Hmmm.
Well how about I talk about…
Recently it’s been super hot in the UK.
I think we have a heatwave……
Oh damn I just did the stereotypical thing of being a British person talking about the weather.
So what to talk about?
Maybe the ending of Otome Mob?
The anime overall flip-flopped in quality.
Sometimes being good sometimes being terrible.
The source material carried it hard, and the ending was decent at least.
I was surprised they ended it then but the pacing worked out better than if they forced it to complete the entire first games plot.
Maybe a surprise sequel will get announced?
It’s almost 2am and I’m having a brain hyperdrive moment.
Do I shut it down and try to sleep, knowing I have work tomorrow.
Or make the decision to sacrifice work performance tomorrow to try and capitalise on this momentum.
Tough decision to make indeed.
While browsing the realm of youtube last night I found a Stellaris playthrough using two mods I made for it!
That was very exciting.
Although it did reveal some of the older content in the mod that I really really need to revise and update.
Hopefully I can rush an update out before their next episode haha, they might actually like the content too.
It’s back to work for me tomorrow, mostly excited, mostly tired, mostly anxious. That’s how it goes with anxiety.
Now then, rather than complaining about work maybe I should talk about the upcoming games I am excited for.
Like maybe Starfield? Honestly a bit unimpressed, but anything with customisable personal ships and RnD mechanics are a win in my book.
And there were some other games I was excited for too, but I’m more interested in learning what piqued all of your interest!
The game I was most hoping for wasn’t announced though, which is a shame, that being Talos Principle 2.
So I have found an artist willing to work with me for the DSM art.
I approached them in advance to check, and definitely not to bully them into accepting the task haha.
I definitely didn’t do that okay.
So make sure to keep throwing down your votes in the comments for what art to get done!
One of the light novels I preordered got delayed a few months, not surprised.
Also one of the manga that should have been sent out to me weeks ago still has no news on stock.
Well I have come to expect that from my Arpeggio preorders by now, that’s why I so obsessively preorder them, otherwise I will just never see stock.
The next Otome Mob volume releases in a week, hopefully they have the stock to send that one out at least.
I really really want to read it after that last cliffhanger.
Regular reminder to cast your votes for what art you want to see done for this novel soon!
Anyway, today I spent some time catching up on updating my Stellaris mod because it needs more love.
I didn’t actually do much, I just had an idea for something and quickly threw it together over a couple of hours, and did something I had on my to-do list for a long time.
Namely I had added a feature that meant you could pick one of the two weapon paths included in the mod (in order to make them an interesting choice and prevent the tech tree getting clogged with my new content) but had never stated anyway that they were mutually exclusive technologies. So I added a little tooltip that shows that info now. No more confusion!
It also means that I could possible add other weapon trees for different types of weapons and have them all be exclusive to each other.
So originally I was planning to work on my Stellaris mod, or maybe write down some dumb ideas to turn Infinite Stratos into a mini-isekai story based on a meme I saw.
But now I might end up watching Vivy just to get it off my Plan To Watch list after forever.
Or maybe I could do both.
Oh well.
I got the day off work tomorrow so I have more free time.
The world works out for me!
