I have, genuinely no idea what to write here today.
I don’t think I’ve actually done anything at all today somehow.
I just spent it chatting with friends and watching youtube.
Didn’t even play one of my two ongoing games…
I did mean to try out some more helldivers but who knows what happened that plan, gone midnight now so won’t be doing that tonight!
I was convinced by a friend to buy Helldivers today.
It was… okay?
I’m not a shooter person, I had some fun, I’m honestly on the fence about it.
The big problem I have right now is that I sit right on the refund time, so if I try it some more I can’t refund it.
But I don’t want to refund it without giving it a proper shot so it’s hard to tell.
My concern is that my social anxiety and general lack of competence at shooters will prevent me from playing with anyone except my friends, and that means I am entirely at the whim of my friends to get to play the game.
I spent most of today crossbreeding different combination of pals in palworld just to see what results I could get!
I ended up getting some pretty rare ones I think, making my way down the paldeck…
It seems that rarer pals combined tend to make rarer pals too! Makes logical sense!
The highlight of the day was the game literally guilt tripping me for crossbreeding though…
I crossbred some pals to create some new pals… then crossbred those together…
And eventually I ended up with this pal that has “Modified DNA” as their trait and a description that basically calls them an artificial abomination… oops…
I have reached the stage of palworld where I start to minmax my pals and not just my infrastructure.
I do however need to start considering where to relocate my main base for breeding and farming though.
Originally my main base was going to be my do-all base but ironically my mining base ended up being more effective after some expansion.
My Satisfactory experience of building upwards came into use there.
Now my ‘main base’ kind of languishes halfway between a breeding facility and legacy storage for things I haven’t got round to moving to my ‘mining base’.
The Nijisanji drama just doesn’t stop now does it?
I feel like every time I watch an update video outlining everything going on the video ends with another video.
I’m glad to see that there is some proper action being taken against the company by fans though.
The other companies speaking out is good too, but the big sponsors are not the ones involved.
I feel sorry for the other livers, but they’re the product that Niji is selling and the the only way to hit Niji will have to involve them as collateral.
My friends persuaded me to get Palworld.
I’ve played 15 hours in the past two days.
I’m actually playing pretty casually in terms of actual progress though.
I just beat the first tower, and I haven’t progressed into anywhere beyond the “starter” region.
I did find one area that had like, level 20 enemies and haven’t braved the interior of it yet.
Still traumatised by that penguin boss that absolutely demolished me.
I saw World Trigger got a new manga chapter recently and I saw the title is like Part 35 of an ongoing arc?
I remember last time I read was that same arc… years ago…
The pacing must be absolute whack!
Especially because the arc prior ends on this massive promise of an upcoming climax that this arc is meant to lead towards!
Absolutely insane!
My usual habit of checking the weeks comments on the site was thwarted by the unread comment list not loading… so thanks wordpress.
Anyway, I was really surprised today when opening the chapter to do my editing when I realised that several more chapters are in the folder!
In fact there’s now an entire month of extra chapters in there for patreon readers…!
This is my subtle hint that you should go support the patreon and get early access to a bunch of extra chapters.
Like a good amount of them.
I’m starting to think the entire novel might just be about doing cute things to make Alfe happy at this rate!
Well actually, I know that’s not true because I saw some spoilers for character details on the wiki.
Plus the cover image makes it pretty clear they do grow up… uh… eventually?
I’m typing this while on the phone for a remote meeting.
This is called multitasking.
I suggest not doing it, I have multiple times tried to type what I was saying or almost said what I was typing.

As fun as it was I started to realise that I had achieved the goal of the game when I got an achievement for doing it in under 5 minutes…
I figured there was no point in repeating and optimising to unlock the entire tree after that point, even if I was slightly interested in some of the unlockable event branches.
I shall uninstall and spare myself the suffering now.
Yesterday I learned that there’s a Thunderbirds anime from the 80’s.
Apparently Japan really loved The Thunderbirds and made their own interpretation.
The name is wild though, it’s called “TechnoVoyager”.
Well it’s about the romance of machines and technology, so I am not surprised Japan loved it.
Today my glasses decided they hate me.
For some reason at some point today, they just got really uncomfortable to wear just behind the ear.
Well, I’ve been wearing glasses for about twenty years now so I’m used to events like this, but it still just annoys me.
Anyway, it’s almost 4am. I totally forgot to prepare this chapter.
You read it the same day I edit it this time… that’s not good.
Anyway.

I got an angry email today about missing a deadline for something, but when I checked the deadline it said the 15th?
So, now I am royally confused.
I missed a deadline that’s four days away?

Well, I’m going to just upload the document I have to placate them, even if I wanted to do one more run over it before I sent it in a couple of days.

I accidentally drowned my friend in a Fate lore rant today.
Well a nasuverse lore rant…
It was entirely accidental.
In my defence, we started talking about similarities between Elder Scrolls and Exalted creation lore.
And then I accidentally went on a tangent about Gaia and then into Notes and then…. well you get the picture.
