I had to change the bulb of my lamp today.
At first I was concerned, trying to work out what I would do about it…
Bulbs are annoying because they never list their specifications in a consistent manner and often need conversions.
But it turned out I had two set aside for just this situation!
Just, sat there collecting dust… possibly for years.
I only noticed them by chance a days ago too, so I remembered them.
Ouch.
The entire Jumplight Odyssey dev team just got laid off, I guess that’s what happens when one indie company tries to work on multiple games at once.
A real shame because it had a lot of promise, its price was just too high for me to buy into it during early access. And it seems like for good reason, albeit a bittersweet one.
Kind of sucks though… I really liked the Space Battleship Yamato and Evil Genius combo it had going.
I did it again.
Somehow I ended up watching lore videos for a franchise that I have only ever made glancing looks at before.
I have no idea how I end up doing this!
Do I just, really like lore?
I even meant to get things done today!
I finished the Malta campaign for Jurassic World Evolution 2.
After that one hiccup it was plain sailing really.
Nothing specifically new about how to handle things, although I did enjoy the acquisition centre mechanic a lot.
Now I just plan to do the Dominion Chaos Theory level before I go into sandbox for an interesting challenge run park.
Hmmm… I actually have no idea what to write here…
Oh well, such is the way life works!
Oh, the Stellaris board game got an update today.
They’re finally testing physical prototypes for the finished product.
Good to know production is finally starting to move forward, maybe I will actually see the board game eventually now!
I ended up having to restart a level of Jurassic World Evolution 2 today, which is rare.
The level starts you off with a decent sum of money, but the requirements for the level involve a lot of standing around waiting for stuff to happen.
Because it doesn’t start you with any way to generate revenue at first if you go straight through the mission tree you’re left with very little money.
So you have to prepare a little ahead to make sure you can generate income after the first set up stage of the mission.
The park area is really small too, so it’s one of those maps where you have to condense high value dinosaurs to attract as many guests as possible, unlike other maps where large varied exhibits are viable.
I started playing the Jurassic World Evolution 2 Malta DLC today…
I forgot a lot of the basic mechanics so it took me a while to remember how things flowed.
The BioSyn campaign prior to it was much more simplified because it didn’t involve guests.
Actually the Scorched Earth level of the Biosyn campaign was absurdly trivial, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop but no.
Nothing.
My parents revealed that they bought me a chocolate advent calendar this year as well.
I was surprised at first, because it was just left on the table when I went to get a snack.
My mum joked that I was a bit old for one, but who in their right mind would turn down free chocolate?
Anyway, now it feels like December proper, as opposed to where I had to post the December chapters a day early because of timezones!
I think I have two light novels meant to come this month.
Well it was meant to be one!
But for whatever reason Amazon decided to massively delay sending it to me until the end of this year!
Argh.
I could have got it faster if I had just cancelled my preorder and just reordered it.
But I am stubborn!
So today I learned that this novel uses the setting and lore of an official Tabletop RPG.
Which would be great, if I could get this RPG as well…
But also, this thing has a gigantic wiki.
Like a proper one.
And he uses it all.
Literally this would be like if someone wrote a Neverwinter or Baldur’s Gate novel…
Surprise! Christmas chapter!
“Huh, what’s this?” You ask.
It’s a duplicated pre-chapter ramble from another post I made!
So yeah, there’s this December release schedule…
I don’t remember what it is, but you’ll be getting loads of extra chapters this month!
I actually forgot to schedule this chapter in advance…
The website is a few hours ahead of me so it’s actually already December by the site calendar…
