It was almost snowing today when I went out.
Perhaps a little closer to sleet.
It was just lacking a fraction of cold I think to fully achieve snow status, which is a shame. I would prefer that to rain.
Instead I just got wet and miserable while going to the shop.
I meant to be fast about this today but I ended up getting distracted by nothing.

Today I randomly decided that I really want Gacha Girl Corp to get an anime.
No specific reason, it’s not a great novel or manga or anything.
The girls are so-so, story so-so, art so-so… etc.
But I just feel like it would translate to a dumb fun anime really well.
Plus it’s gacha.
I had to comfort a rather emotional friend today, it’s been a while since I have had to do that.
It used to be semi-regular.
I guess I just stopped talking to those sort of people at some point?
Not really sure how. Actually I don’t talk to many people outside of my close circle anymore.
That reminds me of how my autism diagnosis thing made a huge deal about how I didn’t perceive the difference between irl and online friends…

Turns out when I was younger it wasn’t that I was frugal, it was just that I was poor.
My hobby for the day has been watching Americans have a meltdown over the new EU regulations for USB-C.
As if somehow it’s a personal affront to their freedoms.
Also the people who seem to weirdly think that this will crush innovation…
As if USB-C isn’t already far in excess of the functionality of the devices that can use it, so it’s already future proofed for several years.
And there’s nothing that says that companies can only use USB-C, just that they have to offer USB-C as a function.
It’s like having mandatory headphone jacks, it’s not like the device would have to remove bluetooth.
Anyway, not that this impacts the UK.

Two bonus chapters of Automata Maid today!
This chapter was… a thing.
Honestly I’m having thoughts about this novel, there’s a lot of potential here, but the author is just a little too… easy going?
All of the stakes so far have been a result of stupid decisions or oversights.
And any consequences are… easily resolved.
So before Christmas I read ahead a bit because I was curious and found a really funny error in this chapter.
I left it there, but I have been impatiently searching each chapter before this to see if it’s the one with the error in it or not.
To my dismay… Silva corrected it before I could reach it.
Anyway, I left our messages about it in the footnotes, you’ll see the exchange.
I feel like I have lost something because of it. But it’s really nothing significant, it just amused me for no real reason.

The new year is upon us, so we’re starting it by depriving me of sleep.

I have had brighter moments.
The most annoying thing about scheduling chapters for the new year is the date entry…
You have to use the dropdown for the month, then type in the day, then type in the year, then type in the hour, then type in the minute.
Each is an individual action in its own entry box.
Why doesn’t this site just have a a single button for the date at least?!?!?!
Anyway, this is the final bonus chapter for new year for Maiden…
Now I need to do emergency edits on the other novels i need to post for…
I am very tired, I didn’t plan to have to edit eight extra chapters today…
But this is the price I pay for only checking the proper schedule on the day before.
Anyway, this chapter was actually pretty fun, I enjoyed working on it.
I wonder what the next is like.
Also I just realised we’re approaching chapter 100 of this volume.

I didn’t realise I had to schedule some chapters for new year…
Until the day before…
So now I have to edit a bunch of chapters that I hadn’t planned for…
That’s what I get for using my phone calendar which has an offline copy of the schedule…
I should have checked the live one…
So the schedule says that I am supposed to schedule a chapter of Alchemist Startover for this date…
I somehow feel like I don’t normally do this?
Maybe I am going insane?
Do we usually have chapters on this day or was this a misenter or perhaps it’s an event thing?
Like a new year bonus set or something?
