Chapter 149 – Shocking Wedding Robbery

Chapter 149 - Shocking Wedding Robbery

“No! Of course not! What exactly is going on? Who can explain it for me!” Lei Fubo said angrily. “We thought that you organized it…” the staff said in a troubled manner. “I don’t care! Hurry up and…

“No! Of course not! What exactly is going on? Who can explain it for me!” Lei Fubo said angrily.

“We thought that you organized it…” the staff said in a troubled manner.

“I don’t care! Hurry up and shout at the people on the helicopter with a megaphone. Tell them that I, Lei Fubo is holding the wedding for my son. Tell them to not mess anything up, or else I won’t be courteous!” Lei Fubo ordered. “The channels are all live broadcasting everything, what are they doing!”

Lei Fubo was extremely angrily in his heart, this was essentially slapping him on the face. His son’s wedding was actually destroyed by unknown people! If he found out, he definitely wouldn’t let them go!

Lei Xiaolong was the most worried. The first reaction that Lei Xiaolong had was, crap!

Other people might not get it, but how could he not!

He had promised those people to give them his fiancé, but now he was actually holding his wedding! He thought that they wouldn’t cause trouble for him anymore, he never would have thought that trouble still came in the end!

Lei Xiaolong could have never imagined that those people would actually be as daring as to directly pilot a helicopter to cause trouble!

“Listen up, the people down there! Stand on spot and don’t move! Our sniper has already locked onto locations, don’t try to create chaos. We won’t hurt you, but if someone doesn’t listen to the advice, then don’t blame us!” A mechanical and cold voice sounded out from the airplane, then it repeated its message using English.

“What’s going on? Mr. Lei?” The guests all started to ask.

“Mr. Lei, is this not something you organized?”

“Don’t scare us! My god, this is no joke, just what’s going on?”

“Mr. Lei, stop kidding around!”

“Everyone, listen to me!” Lei Fubo tried his best to calm himself at that moment, but his voice had already turned anxious. “This is an accident! We didn’t organized this. This is an accident! Everybody calm down and listen to what they want!”

“Damn! Why did I come to this damn wedding!” A white entrepreneur swore.

“Yeah, seriously, it is essentially joking with my life!” Another person complained. These people who were complaining were all guests that were truly invited to the wedding, while those more important people all sat there properly.

A red dot appeared on Lei Fubo, causing him to freak out. This was the signal on him being locked on by the aiming machine! Immediately after that, a red dot also appeared on Lei Xiaolong’s body.

“Listen, tell them not to move around. My gun might misfire,” The voice from the helicopter sounded out once again.

“Everybody, don’t move! They aimed at me, please don’t move!” Lei Fubo said calmly.

“F̲u̲c̲k̲! What sort of logic is this! You’re telling everyone to stay after they aimed at you?”

“Yeah, you’re taking our lives as a joke!”

“How can this person be so selfish! We came to his son’s wedding, and now he actually wants to hold us hostage?”

“He’s too terrible! This sort of person isn’t trustworthy at all, let’s not do business with him in the future!”

“Yeah! I’m determined to break all ties with Lei’s!”

Lei Fubo’s reaction caused the guests to all get annoyed as they started to complain.

“I…” Lei Fubo didn’t know what to say at all! Damnit, why did someone have to oppose him? Lei Fubo tried to think about his enemies in business, but none of them were so capable!

“Alright, everybody stand properly! Now —— The show’s about to start!” The voice on the helicopter continued. “The next show —— Wedding Robbery of the Century!”

The cockpit of the helicopter opened and a ladder was let down. Several people fully armed and wore black nylon masks with rifles in their hands jumped down.

After they entered the hall, they quickly positioned themselves and waited.

The last person to jump down was a person wearing a mask and casual clothes.

This person was naturally me! Since I didn’t want my identity to be shown on the screen yet, I wore a mask. However the clothes I wore were the same ones as when I met Xia Jing for the first time.

I stepped onto the red packet dashingly, while Du Xiaowei wore a huge pair of sunglasses and surveyed the surroundings with a rocket launcher like a mobster bodyguard.

Lei Xiaolong was already completely shocked. When someone pointed at him with a rifle form behind, his body trembled and muttered things that we were able to understand.

I waked up and immediately grabbed Xia Jing’s hand, before saying quietly, “Xia Jing, I’ve come.”

Xia Jing looked at me frantically and struggled, “Who are you…”

“I’m Liu Lei! Don’t you recognize my clothes?” My said quietly.

“Liu Lei? Who’s Liu Lei?” Xia Jing said in confusion.

“You forgot about me? Impossible!” I said anxiously.

“I really don’t know you!” Xia Jing shook her head.

I looked at Xia Jing’s eyes in an attempt to see something, but I was disappointed. Xia Jing’s gaze was earnest. Although she was frantic, there wasn’t any of the familiar feeling from before.

What happened! Could it be that… Xia Jing completely forgot about me?

All of a sudden, I didn’t quite know what to do. Was I disappointed, suffering, or what?

Was I just someone that passed through her life? Did she completely forget about me already?

Three years. Three years was enough for a person to be forgotten completely. Perhaps, she really forgot…

I shook my head helplessly. What else could I do? It seems like I thought too highly of myself! She actually said to me ——Who’s Liu Lei!

“Did you forget the things that happened when you came to Songjiang? We met on the streets, and you followed me back him, as well as your reminder before you left…” I said without giving up.

“Sorry… What exactly are you talking about!” Xia Jing look at me in confused, then said rather frantically. “Don’t do anything rash okay, you’ll screw me over…”

How’s that possible? This thing doesn’t seem quite right! Even if Xia Jing doesn’t want to recognize me for some reason, Xia Jing’s eyes wouldn’t show no reaction when I talked about my past with her! This wasn’t an act, which means that Xia Jing didn’t know what I was talking about, otherwise, it was impossible for her to show nothing in her eyes!

Could Xia Jing have lost her memories as well? It can’t be that much of a coincidence, right?

I calmed myself down, and thought about if there was anything else to it.

When my eyes swept across Xia Jing’s soft neck, I smiled.

“Where’s Xia Jing?” A confident smile surfaced on my face once again.

“What-What are you talking about?” Xia Jing said a bit nervously.

“You’re not Xia Jing, where is the real Xia Jing?” I asked in a tone that did not allow anyone to doubt me.

“That-That’s me…” Xia Jing was clearly frantic. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Leave.”

When Shelly called me, I found out that the chick was very happy. David actually signed the contracts for six movies with her! This included one by a certain famous director that Shelly had slept with in my previous life. That movie was the one that would become Shelly’s classical masterpiece.

However, I wasn’t worried that Shelly would be harassed by that director once again, unless he doesn’t want to live anymore. If he dared to have any wrongful thoughts about Shelly, then David would tear him to pieces without my doing anything.

At the same time, Shelly’s background also because a mysterious topic in the entertainment circles. At the start, many woman thought that she was David’s woman, but when they saw even David treated her with respect, they all started to speculate. What’s more, David’s sentence of “Even I cannot to offend the person behind her!” caused those who fantasize about Shelly in the entertainment circles to avoid her.

The other movies that Shelly was signed for were the classics of classics. There were famous directors and scripts alongside an all star cast, it was hard to Shelly to not get famous!

It was then that Shelly finally understood how amazing her man was. What she originally dreamed of having was actually gotten so easily. It really seems like she’s with the right person.

Shelly felt that she was far luckier when comparing her fate with some stars. Plenty girls that were no worse than her had to continuously sleep with this guy or that guy in order to get famous, but ends up nowhere. However, she will be forever with this one man in her entire life.

The overwhelming amounts of advertisement and money thrown in caused everyone to instantly become familiar with Shelly’s name. Regardless of it being the television, newspaper or magazines, the main focus of them were only Shelly. Soon, Shelly’s name also became the most searched thing on Google.

The moment Shelly’s photo album was released, it was immediately widely popular! There weren’t enough to meet the demand! Of course, her photo album had her in a sexy, but unrevealing way.

Meanwhile, David’s company also planned to develop her in the direction of a pure girl. Shelly instantly became famous without any rumors or negative news about her. This was very uncommon when compared with other famous celebrities.

Also, David actually gave Shelly a salary of the same standards as top Hollywood stars when signing with her, in a clear sign of good will towards me. Although this wasn’t worth mentioning at all when compared to the transaction amount between David and I, it caused me to be very happy. After I found out, I also told Hank to add a few of the newest weapons that were produced in the South African military factory into the David’s delivery.

What’s more, several of the male stars that wanted to take advantage of Shelly no longer dared to have any wrongful thoughts. That was because a trending star had tried to tongue kiss Shelly when they were filming, but he got heavily beaten by unknown mobsters, resulting in three broken ribs. After that, he was only able to avoid even more trouble after publicly apologizing to Shelly.

Although Shelly didn’t know what her man did, she also faintly understood at that moment that his identity wasn’t simple. At the very least, he could protect her from harm. Thinking that, Shelly felt her heart to be filled with sweetness.

I didn’t tell Zhao Yanyan and co. about Shelly immediately since I didn’t know if they could accept a western woman. Thus, I decided to keep it a secret temporarily.

As I expected, Lei Xiaolong did not dare to tell his old man, Lei Fubo about what happened in the casino, and decided to have his wedding with Xia Jing as planned.

David easily situated his men around Saint Patrick’s Cathedral with his influence. Of course, the Lei family did not notice all- this.

I really don’t know how David did it, but he actually managed to get three helicopters from his business partners all around the country.

My mom called me in order to encourage me, “Son, are you ready to snatch my gan-daughter back?”

“Mom, you can’t possibly want me to do some sort of shocking wedding robbery, right?” I asked.

“Haha, no one knows mother better than her son! Your dad and I got your Uncle Zhao to specifically bring over Shuguang’s latest technology, the plasma television, and got someone to specifically install a satellite television receive to watch the American channels!” said my mom. “Both your dad and I are waiting for your live show!”

“It can’t be… Is there anyone that teaches their son like you guys? You’re actually telling me to ruin someone else’s wedding?” I smiled wryly.

“Stop, stop pretending with your mom!” My dad’s voice sounded out from the phone instant. “Do you not like that chick Xia Jing? Don’t think that your mom and I don’t know anything, when she was in our home, you slept naked with her. Your mom and I were too embarrassed to point it out! You have to take responsibility for her!”

I sweat! I thought I manage to hide it from them, I never would have thought that they knew everything.

“Err… I didn’t actually do anything with her!” I seriously didn’t though!

“Didn’t do anything? Who would believe that? Brat, you were suggesting condoms to your dad when you were in the first year of high school, what else can’t you do! I don’t care, your mom and I are waiting for your exciting show, don’t disappoint us!” My dad continued. “Oh yeah, the stuff you taught your mom and I were too amazing. Your mom got at least ten years younger. When your Uncle Zhao brought the television over a few days ago, he was completely shocked. He thought he transmigrated and saw your mom when she was younger!”

“Dad, is mom not beside you?” I reminded.

“Nope, your mom went to the kitchen. I have been feeling great recently! Hehe, I’m fine even after rolling in the bedsheets an entire night with your mom. Thank you, my good son! Dad finally knows why you can get so many wives, dad supports you… Ouch!” My dad let out a terrible scream before he finished…

After that, I faintly heard my mom’s voice from the phone…

“You old b̲a̲s̲t̲a̲r̲d̲, what are you saying to your son! I was wondering why my son is so lecherous, so it’s all due to you!” said my mom.

“Wifey… Didn’t you go to the kitchen…” My dad said weakly.

“You really wanted to say it behind my back! Oh wow, from today onwards, don’t think og getting on my bed for a week. Go sleep in the living room!” my mom said angrily.

“Son, don’t listen to your dad. Alright, mom supports you. You must bring Xia Jing back!” My mom’s voice sounded out from the phone.

“Okay mom, I understand,” I laughed silently. My dad was screwed this time.

“Wifey, don’t you support our son, then why can’t I…” My dad’s voice sounded out faintly from the other side of the phone before the call was hung up.

Chapter 148 - I do

On the day of the wedding, Lei Fubo was filled with smiles as he felt really proud of himself.

Pretty much the directors of all famous organizations in the world arrived at Lei Xiaolong’s wedding, including the directors of all the corporations that had business with Shuguang Corporation!

How about Lei Fubo not be proud! When he sent out the invites, it was merely due to courtesy, he didn’t’ expect the directors of all these large companies to arrive. That was because although Lei’s Corporation was huge, it was nowhere close to those huge crocs.

The entire wedding proceeded in a nice atmosphere. Although the wedding was in a cathedral in USA, both the Lei family and the Xia family wore tradition Chinese clothes, since both family were from Huaxia, so they maintained the wedding conventions of large families in Huaxia.

Lei Fubo walked through the guests and frequently proposed toasts. Meanwhile, Lei Xiaolong also smiled. His confident expanded to the max when he saw his old man gaining so much face. He felt that the Lei family was already standing at the peak of the world and could do anything. From the looks of it, there was nothing the Lei family couldn’t do using his father’s relationships with the very important people on scene!

What’s more, he had already forgotten all about the sadness the other night!

“Young Master Lei, congratulations for getting the beauty!”

“Young Master Lei, why haven’t we seen the bride?”

“Yeah, Young Master Lei, I heard that you people from Huaxia can only see the bride after payig your respects to the heaven and earth?”

“Young master Lei, so the easterners’ traditional Chinese clothes look so cool!”

“We really want to see your bride’s beauty!”

Lei Xiaolong smiled in response to everything! Only a organization of the Lei family’s ability would be able to wear traditional Chinese clothes in a western wedding, right? If someone that wasn’t famous had a wedding in a western cathedral wearing the clothing from Huaxia, not only would they not be praised by the guests, they would be laughed at for being insane!

But now, the guests did not doubt them at all. This was the power of the Lei family! Regardless how they looked and how they acted, people would think of it as natural!

The charm of money was infinite!

However, although the atmosphere of the wedding was very calm, there was an uncomfortable feeling to it! All of the guests smiled and chatted about very appropriate things, but it was as if they were waiting for something…

The wedding reached its climax very soon. The bride walked onto the red carpet, while being surrounded by people. She was the perfect combination of beauty and seriousness, causing the western guests to be shocked!

The crowd was shocked. They could not believe that such a beautiful woman existed in the world. Even the saliva of Lei Xiaolong, who have seen Xia Jing since a young age, couldn’t help but flow.

All he thought about at that moment was Xia Jing’s perfect body after entering their wedding room… Lei Xiaolong swallowed his saliva lecherously. Only an idiot would cancel his engagement with a stunning woman like her. Who cares about that f̲u̲c̲k̲i̲n̲g upstart of the mercenary company!

Lei Xiaolong stepped onto the red carpet proudly and stood beside Xia Jing. The two held hands and walked towards the cathedral as the wedding music played.

The priest witnessing the wedding slowly walked onto the stage with the Bible in his hand, and smiled as he looked towards Lei Xiaolong and Xia Jing, “My lord, please bless this couple in front of me.”

“Lei Xiaolong, do you take Xia Jing to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days of your life?” asked the priest.

“I, Lei Xiaolong, take you, Xia JIng, for my lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part,” Lei Xiaolong spoke mechanically as they had rehearsed. He was already filled with lust, and was just waiting to furiously f̲u̲c̲k̲ the beauty beside him when they enter the bridal room… If the priest knew what Lei Xiaolong thought at that moment, he would definitely be extremely angry and curse him to go to hell.

“Xia Jing, do you take Lei Xiaolong for your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?” The priest continued to ask.

“I do!” Xia Jing said determinedly without any hesitation in her tone. She continued like she had rehearsed everything. “To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part…”

My heart suddenly pained when I saw and heard this from the screens in the helicopter in midair.

“I do!”

Xia Jing had said it with such determination, and such certainty! There wasn’t any pause or hesitation to it!

I felt my heart shatter instantly just like a glass cup that had dropped down onto a concrete floor from a huge spot…

How was that possible?! Could Xia Jing have forgotten?

Just what was Lei Xialong! He ate, drank, gambled and enjoyed prostitution; he had no ambition; his mind was so simple that he only knew how to act pretentiously! How could Xia Jing fall for such a useless rich second generation that relied on his father?

The more I thought about it, the more unbelievable I found it. Although Xia Jing was very pure, no matter how pure she was, it was impossible for her to like someone like Lei Xiaolong.

It was clear that the Lei family was rather powerful and was richer than the Xia family, but Xia Jing’s family background wasn’t bad!

Her father worked in a certain mysterious department, while her mother was the chairman of a large corporation!

They were already outstanding people in the upper class! Xia Jing did not need to marry Lei Xiaolong at all!

The current situation seemed like Xia Jing was very willing and happy to be married to Lei Xiaolong!

No! I have to get an answer! Even if Xia Jing really likes Lei Xiaolong, then I have to hear her tell me personally!

“Get ready to move,” I suppressed the franticness in my heart and said calmly.

“Act according to the plan,” Du Xiaowei spoke into the transmission device on his wrist.

The emergency lights within the cathedral, filled with warm lights, suddenly turned on with a click…

“Ah! What’s going on!” surprises sounded out from the guests within the cathedral.

However, the people that had contact with Shuguang Corporation and David & co. all unintentionally gathered together and chatted leisurely as if they were watching a show.

“What’s going on!” Lei Fubo said angrily. “Where is the lighting technician? What’s going on!”

“Hurry up and turn off these damn lights!” Lei Fubo yelled loudly, but nobody answered.

“Lighting technician!” Lei Fubo continued to shout. However, there was still no answer.

At this moment, the window at the very top of the cathedral opened, causing the rotor sounds specific to a helicopter to be heard…

“What’s this?” The guests all raised their heads.

“Wow! Could this be part of the wedding?”

“It’s too cool! A helicopter!”

“This wedding is too amazing. Hubby, are you going to get me in a helicopter like this in the future?”

“Mr. Lei, did you organize this helicopter?” asked a staff.

Chapter 146 - Write Up a Contract

“No, not second handed! There are good ones, good ones!” Lei Xiaolong explained.

“Good? How good?” Hank asked impatiently.

“About this… As long as you have a request, I’ll try my best to fulfill it!” said Lei Xiaolong.

“Oh yeah, boss, I saw this brat’s fiancé on tv a few days ago. She was so beautiful!” Du Xiaowei suddenly said.

“Oh? How beautiful? But then again, fiancé, she must have done it with this brat already. Never mind that, hurry up and kill this brat, I still have to go back and sleep!” I waved my hand and pretended like I wasn’t interested at all.

“No, no! I don’t have anything to do with her! I never touched her! As long as you let me go, I-I can give her to you!” How could Lei Xiaolong give up so easily after seeing the light of hope.

“Is that so? You’ll give her over with just that? What proof do you have that you will?” I raised my eyebrows and asked.

“I-I’ll cancel my engagement with her first, then send someone to capture her and give her to you!” said Lei Xiaolong.

“Oh? That sounds rather interesting! Good, I like interesting things. This seems to be much more interesting than killing you!” I nodded.

“Yeah! Yeah! Just how uninteresting is killing, how great will it good when you f̲u̲c̲k̲ the woman!” Lei Xiaolong agreed.

“Is that so? Then how can I believe you? If you leave like this today and don’t admit it tomorrow, you wouldn’t admit it even if I go to court with you!” I thought about it and said.

“No! I will definitely keep my promise! Let me go! I’ll immediately tell my dad to cancel the engagement with her!” said Lei Xiaolong.

“How about this. I’ll believe you, but just words isn’t enough. Write it down to prove that you already canceled your engagement with her. This will also give me a proof in the future,” I said.

“Okay! Okay! I’ll write it!” Lei Xiaolong quickly nodded in agreement after seeing I agreed in fear of me changing my mind.

Uncle Bin sighed and shook his head. He felt like this wasn’t that simple, as if he fell into a trap. However, he did not know the purpose of the other people doing this.

“Give him pen and paper!” I said to Hank.

Hank wasn’t afraid of Lei Xiaolong running away, since Lei Xiaolong was already paralyzed in fear on the floor, so he couldn’t do anything.

He found pen and paper, then handed it to Lei Xiaolong.

Lei Xiaolong started to write tremblingly.

“This one… divorces… F̲u̲c̲k̲! Do you know how to f̲u̲c̲k̲i̲n̲g write? Is she your wife right now? Are you f̲u̲c̲k̲i̲n̲g educated!” Du Xiaowei glanced at what Lei Xiaolong wrote and directly kicked him.

“I-I’ve never written it before!” Lei Xiaolong stuttered.

“Alright, I’ll say it, and you’ll write it!” I shook my head. It seems like Lei Xiaolong wasn’t very educated.

“Sure! Sure! That’s for the best!” Lei Xiaolong nodded.

“Party A: Lei Xiaolong. Party B: Xia Jing. Due to personality differences between Party A and Party B, A requests to cancel the engagement with Party B and return all engagement gifts that Party B has given…” I said.

“My family didn’t receive any gifts…” Lei Xiaolong interrupted.

“F*ck your mom! If you didn’t then compensate them!” Du Xiaowei kicked Lei Xiaolong once more.

“I’ll compensate, I’ll compensate!” Lei Xiaolong quickly nodded.

“Okay, then add it onto the contract. Compensate Party B 1 billion USD…” I continued.

“1 billion? So much…” Lei Xiaolong said painfully.

“F̲u̲c̲k̲, do you think it’s too much!?” Du Xiaowei kicked Lei Xiaolong again.

“Wait, wait, I suddenly feel like this isn’t that interesting anymore. Killing’s more fun!” I said with a wave of my hands.

“Don’t, don’t. I’ll compensate! I’ll compensate! It’s not much, a billion is not much! It’s too little!” Lei Xiaolong quickly corrected himself.

“Oh, you feel like a billion is too little as well?” I asked.

“Yeah, it’s way too little!” How could Lei Xiaolong dare to say it’s not!

“Since it’s like that, then two billion USD instead!” I said.

“Ahh… Okay,” Lei Xiaolong didn’t dare to object anymore.

“Party A cannot harass Party B in any way from now on. It is effective upon the signing of this document,” I said, then reminded him. “Then sign it and press your handprint on it!”

Lei Xiaolong immediately did all that.

“Go and find the casino’s notary and notarize this agreement!” Would it be trouble if Lei Xiaolong claims that I forced him to write this later?

Hank got a waiter to bring the notary over in order to notarize the agreement. During so, Lei Xiaolong did cooperate fully.

“Alright, you can leave now,” I waved my hand impatiently. “But if I find that Xia Jing’s not original, then you’re dead. You know what I do.”

“No, no!” Lei Xiaolong quickly shook his head, then quickly left this place of trouble alongside Uncle Bin.

“Boss? That’s it?” Du Xiaowei said in disbelief, he had thought that there would be a hard fight.

“Mhmm, this is only the beginning. This agreement is just a step for Xia Jing’s family to take. Otherwise, the Lei family will definitely not agree if I snatch Xia Jing over publicly and might even cause them to go into dispute with the Xia family. Although Xia Jing’s family has some basis within our country, it’s far worse than the Lei family. What’s more, everything will be simple with this agreement. If the Lei family has any complaints, we can just directly publish this,” I said.

“Then the two billion USD?” Hank asked.

“Hehe, do you think boss would care about so little money?” Du Xiaowei asked in response.

“That’s true!” Hank nodded. The money that passes through his month is so much more than that as well.

“But what if the Lei family gets desperate?” Du Xiaowei was a bit worried.

“What do you think he can do when desperate?” I laughed. “We can play him to death in every single way.”

“Then Boss, why are you still robbing the wedding, wouldn’t it be fine directly publishing this agreement?” Hank asked in disagreement.

“You’re such a f̲u̲c̲k̲i̲n̲g idiot! Don’t tell people that you’re my student!” Du Xiaowei said angrily. “A hero saves a beauty, Prince Charming saves the princess from the monster. Have you not heard of these stories!”

“I…” Hank laughed embarrassedly…

“Young Master, do we tell master about this?” Uncle Bin asked.

“Tell him? Tell him for what! Do you want me to get beaten up!” Lei Xiaolong said impatiently

“But the issue of cancelling the engagement is so huge…” Uncle Bin hesitated.

“Hmmph, the wedding is going to carry on as normal. Just send more people there1 What’s more, my dad can definitely deal with this using his abilities! Worst come to worst, we’ll get married back in Huaxia. The regulation of firearms is stricter there, they can’t possibly be so cocky!” said Lei Xiaolong.

“But Young Master, those people are really amazing…” Uncle Bin was just thinking about it. He immersed himself in several tens of years in martial arts, but was suppressed in just one move.

“What are you afraid of? Our Lei family’s bodyguards are no joke!” Lei Xiaolong said in disdain, completely forgetting his earlier demeanor.

Uncle Bin sighed without saying anything else. What exactly could he say!

Chapter 146 – Write Up a Contract

“No, not second handed! There are good ones, good ones!” Lei Xiaolong explained. “Good? How good?” Hank asked impatiently. “About this… As long as you have a request, I’ll try my best to fulfill it!” said Lei Xiaolong.…

He didn’t dare to imagine what it would be like if Lei Xiaolong lost.

Uncle Bin sighed, this Lei Xiaolong didn’t know what to do other than causing trouble! It seems like he can only use the master’s name if there was no other way. The casino will probably give him face, since the casino’s purpose was just to earn money. No matter how much money they ask for, Lei Bofu would give it. After all, Lei Xiaolong’s life was useless for the casino, they had no need to refuse money.

Thinking that, Uncle Bin calmed down a bit. Hopefully nothing goes wrong.

This time, the dealer dealt for me first once more.

“Wait!” Lei Xiaolong suddenly called out. “This time, deal for me first!”

I smiled, I knew you would suspect there being something wrong with the cards. Thus, I said uncaringly, “Whatever, do as Young Master Lei wants!”

Lei Xiaolong’s bottom card was a 10 of hearts, then the shown cards were jack of hearts, queen of hearts and king of hearts. When he saw that, he said proudly, “Hehe, now the luck has returned to my side!”

Meanwhile, my cards were ace of spades, king of spades, and 10 of spades on the top, while my bottom card was a queen of spades.

When ace of hearts was dealt in front of Lei Xiaolong, he finally couldn’t help but laugh out loud!

“How is it! Boss Liu, your luck changed over to my side the moment we changed the sequence!” Lei Xiaolong said excitedly.

My last card was a jack of spades, meaning that my royal flush was the combination that beat everything.

Flip! Lei Xiaolong revealed his bottom card, then struck a cool pose that the god of gambling did in a movie and said, “Royal Flush!”

I smiled faintly. Hehe, Lei Xiaolong, you’re screwed.

“What are you smiling for! I won, can’t you afford the loss?” Lei Xiaolong said proudly.

“Sorry, if we didn’t change cards, then you really would have won. But now, ai!” I sighed, then flipped my last card over.

Lei Xiaolong looked at the cards on my table in despair! Two royal flushes appeared at the same time! Just how small of a chance was this!

“This is impossible! You must have cheated!” Lei Xiaolong stood up, pointed at my nose and shouted.

“I cheated? When did you see me cheat? What’s more, we changed cards because you said to do so. You can’t accept the loss and now you’re actually saying I cheated?” I laughed coldly.

“Collect our stakes!” I said to Du Xiaowei.

“Wait! Stop! I’ll call someone to send six hundred million here. Please don’t do anything to young master!” Uncle Bin shielded Lei Xiaolong behind him.

“Yeah! My dad has tons of money, I can tell him to send it here for me!” Lei Xiaolong was terrified as well! He only betted his life in anger, he didn’t think about the consequences or the severity of the issue. Right now, when he saw that the other person was seriously going to collect the stakes, he couldn’t help but get nervous.

“Money? Just how much can you dad bring? If you’re willing to bet, then you have to accept your loss! If you owe money, then pay it back with money; if you owe a life, then pay it back with your life! Do I look like I lack money? Haha, I forcefully played an extra round with you because I heard that you wanted to bet your life against me. You’re going to exchange money for your life? Dream on! How can there be such a good thing in the world! Do it!” I stood up and walked beside Le iXiaolong.

“Don’t, I’ll give however much money you guys want!” Lei Xiaolong screamed. That was because he already saw Hank point a gun at him!

At that moment, Uncle Bin also moved. His target was Hank, but before he got there, Du Xiaowei easily suppressed him. Although Uncle Bin’s ability was top amount bodyguards, Du Xiaowei had my personal guidance, he didn’t just use martial arts, he used a fusion of superpowers and internal techniques. That was why Uncle Bin seemed like nothing in front of him.

“You better not make a reckless move, otherwise, you’re going to die as well,” when Du Xiaowei started acting cool, it really was amazing. He remained expressionless like a mob fighter. Even an experienced person like Uncle Bin seemed to feel shocked.

“You can’t kill him! He’s the young master of Lei’s Corporation!” Uncle Bin revealed Lei Xiaolong’s identity.

Of course I knew Lei Xiaolong was Lei’s Corporation’s young master, it was because he was the young master of the Lei family that I came to cause trouble for him. If I was to put it in a more trendy phrase, it would be “I wouldn’t find him if he was just a commoner”!

“Lei’s Corporation?” I deliberately pretended to be confused and asked Hank. “Is it really famous?”

“It’s pretty famous in both Huaxia and the US. It’s a very capable foundation,” Hank explained.

“Oh! So it’s just rich? But, do you think laozi will care about money since I’m gambling here?” I said to Lei Xiaolong and Uncle Bin in a mocking manner. “Hehe, I pay out several hundred dollars easily, do you think I care about money? I’m telling you, money is just a bunch of numbers to me!”

“Then what do you want!” Lei Xiaolong’s lower body was already wet, he clearly pissed himself in terror.

“What do I want? You can’t be that forgetful, right? Didn’t you say you were betting your life? I only bet with you because you wanted to bet your life, otherwise, what could you have used to bet with me? Alright, stop wasting my breath, laozi is going to take what’s mine! Hank, do it!” I pretended that I was very impatient.

“No, you can’t just kill people! My dad definitely wouldn’t let you guys off!” Lei Xiaolong exclaimed.

“Won’t let us off? Hehe! Young Master Lei, you’re too naïve, right? Xiaowei, tell Young Master Lei what our professions are?” I said casually.

“Killers, mercenaries,” Du Xiaowei replied simply.

“You hear that? Young Master Lei! Our profession is killing people! Six hundred million, just treat it as paying for your life!” I said without care.

“No!” Lei Xiaolong fell into complete desperation.

At that moment, Uncle Bin also understood that the other people were really strong, they weren’t afraid of anything. From the ability of the person that suppressed him just now, even the older generation of the Lei family wouldn’t be able to match him.

“There is no benefit for you if you kill us, why don’t we talk about conditions?” Uncle Bin could only approach it with a tiny bit of hope.

“Oh, it seems like you’re right. Other people all pay us to kill, but it doesn’t seem like I gain anything by killing you,” I said after a long thought.

“Yeah, as long as you let us go, we can agree to any conditions!” Lei Xiaolong immediately appeared energetic once again as if he found some hope.

“Hmm, but what can you give me?” I don’t seem to lack money, am I right, Xiaowei. We have truly too much money! What does a man need aside from money?” I said with a deep ponder.

“Mhmm, a man merely pursues money, position and woman. Boss, you don’t lack the former two…” Du Xiaowei answered.

“Beauties… I have tons of beauties, I can give you a large number of excellent beauties as long as you let me go!” Lei Xiaolong yelled loudly before Du Xiaowei finished.

“F̲u̲c̲k̲! What are you shouting for!” Hank smashed Lei Xiaolong’s head with the butt of his gun. “Who do you think our boss is? Your women? Our boss don’t want second-handed goods!”

Within a private study in the middle of the Gerret household, stood two youths having a cheerful conversation. These youths were Willard and Sebastian. In Sebastian’s view, Willard was the greatest stroke of luck he had ever had. Not only did he help him overcome his issues, he also helped propagate him to his current status.

“Why don’t you stay another week? By then, the construction of the statue you want should be done.” Sebastian said as he tried to persuade Willard to stay longer. Willard kept quiet almost as if he was contemplating something. Sebastian sighed and nodded his head. “Since you would not be staying for that long, why don’t you give me a couple of hours to put together a gift for you.”

“Thank you,” Willard responded with a smile.

Sebastian left the study to immediately get things ready for Willard. Although he wanted to give Willard a lot of things, he knew Willard would prefer to travel light and as such could only take a few things with him.

Willard walked towards the house Nana was staying. As of the moment, his biggest problem was what to do with Nana. On the one hand, he cared deeply for Nana especially since she was the trigger that got him out of his coma. And on the other hand, Nana would eventually become a burden for him. As he got closer to the house, Nana stepped out of her quarter. She was surprised to see Willard but immediately broke into a smile. They both walked towards some direction as they spoke.

“Nana, what do you intend to do?” Willard asked with a serious expression.

“Isn’t it obvious?” Nana asked then smiled. Willard had a complicated expression on his face as he was about to say something before Nana cut him off.

“I’ll stay here and wait for you,” she said with the same smile on her face. Willard was shocked in response to her statement. This was in complete contrast to how Nana had behaved in the past. Willard took a long look at Nana before nodding his head. Willard was about to take another step away when Nana grabbed his hand. “Please be safe and return to Nana,” she said softly, before slowly letting his arm go. WIllard looked at her for a couple of seconds before walking away. He thought about saying something to her, but was in a complete loss for words. He couldn’t quite figure out what he was feeling, but all he knew was that he actually cared for Nana.

Later that day, Willard and Baya set out for the northern borders. Baya stared at the Marquis city, reminiscing on the first time Willard and himself had arrived at the city. They nothing more than inexperience villagers, or at least he was, who were set on taking part in the Blood challenge and then joining a school. Now, they were revered individuals who had left behind a legacy. Baya thought back to what Willard had told him with regards to their home, the Yellow Hew village, and how the village was ravaged by bandits killing and displacing over ninety percent of the villagers. Baya wasn’t too saddened by the news, because none of his family were alive, to begin with. He was orphaned at an early age and had always felt a little distant from the village as a whole, which eventually lead to his interest in leaving the village.

“How time flies.” Baya inwardly thought, as Willard and himself got on their mount and rode away. They both kept quiet for a good while as each individual thought about different things.

Along the way, neither Willard nor Baya really spoke much. They stopped in a remote village to rest for the night, and provide care for their mounts. Nothing particularly interesting occurred in that village as they left early the next morning. Their journey was mostly the same as they stopped at different villages and on rare occasions spent the night in the open forest. On the fifth day of their journey, Willard and Baya encountered a group of travelers who were heading in the same direction.

At first, the travelers seemed to have been on edge when they encountered them, but as time progressed they seemed to be fine. The travelers paid Willard and Baya no attention and kept to themselves, continuing their journey. Most people preferred to keep to themselves when they travel as no one could tell what unforeseen trouble could come your way. Baya caught a sight of a young lady who was in their midst, seating in the carriage. She had a slender body with a beautiful oval shaped face. Her hair was black and short, which added to her looks.

Later that night, Willard and Baya stopped at a remote location in the forest and decided to make camp there for the night. Baya was a skilled hunter, who easily killed some wild rabbit for their dinner. While they watched the rabbit roast in the night fire, Baya turned to look at Willard who was resting his back against a tree and had his eyes closed.

“For one to live, you must steal life itself.” Willard surprisingly said as he opened his eyes. Baya was used to hearing these kinds of things from Willard and as such kept quiet and listened.

“Then how can one claim to be on the right path when we steal the very source of our lives?” He continued as he walked towards the fire and sat closer. Baya tore a piece of the wild rabbit and gave it to him. The rabbit had a flavorful fragrance that filled their surrounding like a wild gourmet dish that had just been prepared. Willard took a bite and savored in the taste before breaking into a gentle laughter.

“There is no such thing as good or bad, righteous or evil. All that truly exist is just a path to life itself, and our journey is ultimately to find the path that leads us to life.” Willard quickly finished eating his piece of the wild rabbit and immediately started meditating. Ever since his coma, Willard spent more of his time on understanding nature around him, rather than cultivating. He had a strange feeling that once he finally understood something essential he would finally break through the restraint he had noticed after he started cultivating the red energy.

While Willard was in the nine heavens, the concept of good and evil did not exist to him, but his experience as a mortal introduced that concept to him. While he was in a coma, he got enlightened to the essence of the world. He realized that the energy of the world had some common relation, but he wasn’t certain on what that was. He knew that there was something fundamental he had been lacking in his life as Thanus, which could be summed up in two words: “Purpose and Direction.”

Purpose in this sense represented a life goal to achieve which transcended the mortal world and the nine heavens, and direction represented a path to achieve that goal. Now that he thought about it, he realized that this was much higher than the petty struggle of the various gods.

Later that night, cries were heard from within the forest. Baya got up looking towards the direction those cries were coming from. “It seems like a bandit group is attacking one of the nearby camps.” he softly said. Willard opened his eyes and looked towards where the cries were coming from. A look of absolute disinterest could be seen in his eyes. “Do whatever you want.” Willard said in response to what Baya said.

Baya sighed and moved his gaze back to the direction of the cries for some seconds before walking towards the fire. Baya added some more wood to the already burning fire and even tossed the greased up wood, which was used as a skewer for the wild rabbit, into the fire. The fire burned more vividly, followed by the scintillating aroma of the roasted wild rabbit. Baya thought about the young lady he saw earlier while they were travelling but quickly moved that thought to the back of his mind. Baya sat back down and rested behind a tree. He closed his eyes as if he was about to fall asleep. Willard looked towards Baya with a little smirk on his face. How could he not know what Baya’s intentions were? His actions with the fire were to give a sharp signal of their location, so as to attract anyone who was currently fleeing.

“Help someone help us!” an old masculine voice rang out. He was currently in the company of three other people who were all heading towards Willard and Baya’s location. Baya got back up and looked towards their direction. He noticed the young woman he had seen earlier amongst the people who were currently running towards them. As the old man approached them, he quickly sized both Baya, who was currently standing in front of him, and Willard, who was quietly resting behind a tree. The old man noticed neither Baya nor Willard had any weapons that he could see. After pausing for a few seconds, the old man began running pass Baya and Willard. In his view, those two young men would not be able to help them. Two of the three people, a middle-aged man and woman, that were with him began following the old man’s lead when all of a sudden they realized the young woman just stood there staring at Baya.

“My lady what are you doing? We have to leave this place immediately.” The old man said urging the young lady to come along with them. The other two seemed to agree with the old man and turned to urge the young lady as well. “There are bandits up ahead of us. You and your friend need to leave this place.” She said feeling a little guilty at the moment. Baya smiled in response and looked towards the direction of the bandits that were now making their way towards them. “Thanks for the warning,” Baya said as he walked forward heading towards the incoming bandit. The young woman was startled by Baya’s actions and was about to say something, but for some strange reason, she decided to just stand and watch him.

“My lady we need to leave. If we are lucky this fellow might buy some more time.” The old man among them said as he tried pulling the young lady to flee from the place. The young lady resisted and vehemently decided to watch and see what happens. She decided that if things were not going to well she would do her best to bring the young man who was still resting behind the tree.

Willard who seemed to be asleep had his palm firmly placed on the forest soil. Due to his attainment with the earth element, he was able to use the undulation of the earth’s vibration to monitor his surrounding. Although he seemed carefree, he was still paying attention to the entire situation.

As the Bandits approached their location, they noticed a young man standing, almost as if he was waiting for them. The first to arrive amongst the bandits had his reservations and decided to wait a few more seconds for the rest of his gang to get to his location. Within a few more seconds, more members of the bandit group arrived. “What do we have here brothers? A noble knight.” One of the bandit members said as he broke into a huge laughter, which caused the rest of the bandit members to laugh with him. “Brothers let’s show this brave knight what happens in our forest.” The man said as he charged towards Baya.

The man had a large blade which he immediately swung straight at Baya. Ever since Baya’s trip to the Red forest, he had been steadily improving his martial prowess. To top it all off, he had mastered the movement technique Willard had gifted him. Using the movement technique, Baya evaded the impending attack and shot past the man that wielded the large blade. Baya’s target were the other supporting bandits. The first person he shot towards was caught completely off guard. Almost without realizing it, Baya’s Dagger had sunk into his skull. Baya moved to the next closest bandit and barely exchanged two attacks with another man before slicing his neck open.

The other bandits watched in shock as they Baya swiftly killed two people. An impending sense of danger rose up in the hearts of remaining bandits. Although they had the advantage in numbers, Baya was like a plague that had just been realized. One after the other, Baya stabbed and slashed the bandits around him. Within the span of five minutes, Baya had killed over ten people. Baya was slowly losing his breath as he realized something important. These bandits were just too numerous. Although he had killed ten people it did not really affect the overall number of bandits.

Chapter 119
Mages Abilities

Chu Shen had just finished with unblocking Aslo and Chrissa’s meridians. He could not, however, start on the other kids. The reason was because Lucas had not come back with the toys for the kids yet. While he was waiting, he continued talking to the twins.

He learned a couple interesting things about them. Their father had been a Rank 2 warrior and used his strength to become a lumberjack. They had a happy but simple life with their father and mother. Unfortunately, he was killed by a magical beast while chopping down trees in the forest.

A Rising Tide Sect member brought them his body. They had tried to rescue him but were too late. Upon delivering his body, the Rising Tide member felt guilty and offered to take the twins to be tested for potential. That was the reason they joined the Rising Tide Sect. Everything after that was the very sad history that Chu Shen had heard before.

Ten minutes later, Lucas finally appeared. He carried a satchel on his shoulder that Chu Shen had inscribed the [Shrinking Inscription] on. Chu Shen stopped talking with the twins and went over to Lucas. “So Lucas, you got the toys?”

Lucas set down the satchel and nodded. “Sure do.” He reached inside the satchel and pulled out a toy mage. He had on black robes with his hands lifted up, palms facing outwards. A fireball was in the palm of it’s hands. Lucas smiled at Chu Shen. “Pretty cool right? Now watch this!” He pushed a button on the toys back and the fireballs shot forward about two feet.

Chu Shen smiled. “You’re right, that is pretty cool.”

Lucas smiled back. “I know right? There’s springs in the hands so that you can load the fireballs and shoot them. I also have ones with lightning, ice balls, rocks, and wind scythes. I also have a couple warrior ones that their arms chop down instead.”

Chu Shen grinned. “Well, that should definitely be cool. How about the girls though.”

Lucas’ grin faded a bit. “Oh, yeah. Well I have a couple of girl dolls in dresses with tiny brushes and extra clothes.”

Chu Shen nodded. “Well, I’ll let them choose. I may need you to make more so stay close.” Lucas grunted in confirmation. After that, Chu Shen left to gather a few more kids to open their mana rivers.

While he was doing so, Aslo came up to Lucas. “Hey, what is that you got there?” He pointed at the toy in Lucas hands.

He held up the mage. “This? This is a toy mage that I made for as a reward for those that open up a new mana river.”

Aslo nodded. “Well, me and my sister Chrissa,” he gestured towards Chrissa behind him, “just got done with opening up a mana river. Do you think we can have one?”

Lucas nodded. “Here you go kid.” He handed Aslo the mage. “My names Lucas by the way, what’s yours?”

Aslo replied off-hand, absorbed into studying the toy. “My names Aslo.”

Lucas immediately became intrigued. He had spent time with the other teachers and kids after all. He had learned the name of the twins from them but never actually approached them since he was usually busy. Now he was able to see them face to face.

“Hey, Aslo. I heard you were a Rank 3 mage. Is that true?” Lucas asked casually.

Aslo looked up. His face puffed up with pride. “Well actually i’m a Rank 4 mage now.”

Lucas smiled. “Well, how about a duel then? I was getting bored and I need the practice.”

Aslo shrugged. “I don’t know. I am pretty new to this whole mage thing. It’s barely even been a month since I became one. I only know a couple spells.”

Lucas walked off a bit before making a come-at-me-bro gesture towards Aslo. “Don’t worry, this is only a spar after all. I’ll go easy, I swear.”

Aslo shrugged before putting his fists up. “Alright then.”

Lucas held up his hand. “On my mark. 3….2…..1….begin!”

Immediately Aslo held up his hand, palm pointed at Lucas. “Flames gather in my hand and create balls of fire. Go forth, Fireball Barrage!” As Aslo finished his chant, six fireballs appeared in front of his outstretched palm. Aslo thrust his palm towards Lucas. When he did, the fireballs flew towards Lucas, one after another.

Lucas reacted immediately, firing beams of ice from the beast core in his palm. The first beam hit the first fireball, causing it to explode. Lucas hit two more but the resulting blasts knocked his aim off slightly. The fourth fireball was already in front of him before he could shoot it.

Lucas leaned left, barely dodging the fourth fireball. The fifth one, however, caught him on the shoulder and sent him flying backwards. As he did though, Lucas legs seemed to explode! Fire streaked from them as Lucas not only stabilized himself mid-air, but also flew upwards above Aslo.

Aslo had not been slacking though. “Flames gather here before me. Create a dragons breath to destroy the enemies in front of me. Go forth, Dragon’s Fire!” Perhaps due to the longer chant, the flames were much more intense. A cone like flame shot towards Lucas.

They bathed him in fire, causing his skin to melt slightly. Lucas panicked somewhat when that happened. He opened his mouth and a high pitched squeal came out of it. The noise was deafening and caused Aslo to falter. When Aslo did so, the Dragon’s Fire sputtered out. That sonic weapon was just Lucas’ voice modulator that he had tweaked a bit.

When the Dragon’s Fire went out, Lucas immediately landed on the ground. Digging his hands into the ground, he pulled up a hunk of rock. Using this rock as a shield, he charged towards Aslo. Aslo continuously pounded the rock shield with fireballs while retreating backwards.

Each time a fireball hit, the shield would slam into Lucas making him pause for a half second. The rock shield also had small craters from when the fireballs exploded. Unfortunately, he could only create twelve fireballs before Lucas reached him. Comparing Lucas and Aslo’s speed, it was obvious that Lucas was superior.

By the time Lucas reached him, his rock shield was a mess. Scorch marks covered the front of it and cracks were spread throughout it. Lucas had cheated slightly though. He used the earth Qi from his beast core to prevent the rock shield from being destroyed by firing earth Qi into the rock shield and making it even thicker.

Upon reaching Aslo, Lucas decided to stop goofing around. Aiming at Aslo with his hand, a yellowish-brown beam struck Aslo in the leg. Immediately rock enclosed his leg, forcing Aslo to a stop. Lucas didn’t stop there though. Instead, the beam of Qi traveled upwards, completely enclosing Aslo in rock except his head.

Aslo’s face showed a panicked look along with anger. Suddenly he started chanting again. “Flames gather, create that which I want. Create that which can destroy what I want. Gather into a sphere so that I may throw it at mine enemies as I wish. Go forth, Apocalypse Ball!”

As Aslo chanted, a ball of fire appeared before him. It was only the size of his fist, the same size as the other fireballs. Because of that Lucas hadn’t been worried. As Aslo chanted though, the fireball started doubling in size with every passing moment. By the time he finished chanting, the fireball was as big as a house.

Aslo started yelling at Lucas. “Lucas, this is the only Rank 4 magic I know! All of the others were Rank 3 or Rank 2! You should really stop fighting, I’m not sure how well I can control this Apocalypse Ball!” His face was pale and covered in sweat, his brow furrowed in concentration.

Lucas stood in front of the Apocalypse Ball, his arms covering his face. He could feel the heat from where he stood and it was like a blazing furnace. He spread his arms wide. “Come on then! I can take it! Hit me with your best shot if you think it can take me down!”

Aslo gritted his teeth. “Then don’t blame me if you die!” He frowned in concentration as the Apocalypse Ball surged towards Lucas. The Apocalypse Ball did not explode but rather enveloped Lucas in a world of fire and heat. After Lucas was in the direct cent of the Apocalypse Ball it exploded. Lucas didn’t move, but his fake skin burned off completely.

Other than that, Lucas was not damaged in the slightest. Aslo looked at Lucas in a sort of horror. That strike took up all of his mana. Lucas hadn’t even used his mana shield yet he could withstand that! That was the equivalent of a Rank 5 warriors full out attack and yet Lucas didn’t even flinch!

Then suddenly Aslo recoiled. Lucas had transformed from a normal human into a metallic beast! Chu Shen suddenly appeared behind Aslo. Seeing Lucas the way he was, he stopped, taken aback. Just what had happened here? He had heard some explosions while he was talking with the teachers about what student to start on next. So he ran here only to find a stark naked Lucas.

Chu Shen appeared in front of Lucas like a ghost. “Hey, buddy.” He whispered. “You do realize that your skin and clothes are gone right?” Lucas immediately looked down. His face showed embarrassment but it looked weird without any skin.

Chu Shen turned towards Aslo. “Don’t worry, this is just an ability of Lucas. He can turn his body into metal when he needs to. It’s a unique mana shield like mine.” To demonstrate, his gray Cancellation Armor appeared around him.

Aslo nodded. “You sure do have some weird techniques Chu Shen.”

Chu Shen turned towards Lucas. “Come on Lucas, we need to get you some new skin. Why don’t we try that carbon fiber mesh skin you were talking about. I know you didn’t want to change your skin but since the old one is gone….”

Chapter 118
Another Puzzle Piece

Chu Shen faced the two kids after they introduced each other. “So. Are you ready to begin?”

Aslo nodded. “I’m ready.” The girl nodded as well.

Chu Sen nodded. “Alright then. Aslo, you are a battle mage and so is Chrissa, correct?”

“Sure am.” Aslo said, pride evident in his smile.

“Okay then. Let me go ahead and start with you then. Sit down over here.” Chu Shen approached Aslo and sat down behind him. Chu Shen closed his eyes and used his spiritual sense on Aslo. When he did though, Chu Shen’s eyes flew open in shock.

He stood up abruptly, pointing a finger at Aslo. “You, you… You’re already a Rank 4 mage!”

Aslo looked at him in confusion. “Well yeah. In another week I’ll be a Rank 5 mage as well.” Chu Shen just stared at him, his mouth wide open. Just what kind of cultivation speed was this?!

Then Chu Shen remembered something he read at the library. A mage can connect their mana rivers to their magic source at any time. This is why warriors were considered inferior to mages. A mage could reach tremendous power in less than a year. A warrior needed years to reach the same amount of power.

Despite being able to connect mana rivers at any time, it is recommended that mages connect one mana river a week. The reason for this was that the body would become stressed and experience pain. The more mana rivers opened at once, the more intense the pain. A mage once connected five at once and died after his body exploded. The mage was only nine years old and had been too impatient to impress his parents.

When you open a meridian, the body becomes flush with mana which strengthens it. However, the body must adapt to this new amount of mana inside it. Otherwise, just as with martial arts, it can overload the body and cause it to self destruct. Which, of course, explains the pain of those that open multiple major meridians.

As Chu Shen followed this thought, he immediately realized something. How could the teachers he helped with their major meridians withstand that pain? He remembered though, that their reactions to the first meridian were to immediately connect it to their magic source. After that though, they wouldn’t connect any of the newly opened mana rivers.

Now it all made sense! They were worried about overloading their body with mana from those new mana rivers. As a result, they did not connect the mana river to their magic source. Most likely they would wait after a week to connect their mana rivers to their magic source.

Chu Shen realized just how ignorant he had been to this issue. Maybe he needed to warn the kids when he helped them open their major meridians otherwise it could be very bad indeed.

Chu Shen, who had been lost in thought, was rudely awakened by two hands that grabbed his shoulder and started shaking him. “Uh, hello? Chu Shen are you there? Come on! You need to open those mana rivers for me right?!”

Chu Shen brushed Aslo’s arm off. “Hey! Let go!”

Aslo shrugged. “I just got a bit tired of waiting for you to stop staring off into space.”

Chu Shen smiled. “Fine, I just needed a bit of time to think. Anyways, go ahead and sit back down so we can get back to opening up your major meridians.”

Aslo sat down with his back to Chu Shen. “So what is this major meridian you spoke of.”

Chu Shen froze for a second before sitting down behind Aslo. He casually explained his accident slip up to Aslo as he did. “It’s nothing. Just another name for mana rivers.” A drop of sweat fell down his forehead as he spoke.

Aslo nodded sagely. “Of course of course. I just didn’t recognize the name that’s all. So, who calls it that exactly?”

Chu Shen’s shirt was starting to become damp from all the sweat. “Well, that’s not important. We need to get back to you opening your mana rivers.”

Aslo immediately became distracted. “Well then, let’s get on with it! I need to become stronger!”

“Alright then. Now focus. I am going to put my mana inside your body. You need to make your mana follow mine. Eventually, if you follow my mana properly, you will sense something blocking your mana. All you need to do is break through that barrier and it will unlock a mana river.”

Aslo’s face scrunched up. “How is that possible though?”

“Well you see, inside our bodies are all mana rivers. Most of them are blocked off from us. Just like a dam, it prevents any mana from coming inside us. However, by breaking the dam, we can allow the mana river to flow. The mana river will be off course though. We still need to force the mana river to flow into our magic source.”

Aslo still looked confused but eventually he nodded. “Alright then. I may not understand what a dam is but I don’t need to in order to get a new mana river. Let’s get started then!”

“Hold on.”

“Now what! Why can’t we just get started already?”

Chu Shen shook his head. Aslo was quite impatient. Though, that was understandable since his mother had died in front of him. “I just wanted to make sure that you know not to link any more mana rivers after you open them. I don’t want your body to explode or anything.”

Aslo rolled his eyes. “Of course I know not to. I’m not an idiot after all. Now can we get on with it. Sitting on the ground is not exactly comfortable, my butt is falling asleep.”

Chu Shen smirked at that. “Fine, let’s get started.” Chu Shen wasn’t able to help Aslo much since he could only open up one more major meridian, just like with the teachers.

However, doing this was life changing. Remember that those four powerful sects had only ten Rank 6 adventurers and none that were of a higher rank. With this, the two twins became a Rank 7 and Rank 8 battle mage. This would let either of them become almost unrivaled in the city they were raised in. They could be considered the elites of the world by now!

Chu Shen just helplessly shrugged his head. Maybe it was time for him start advancing his cultivation level again. Otherwise, the protector may just become the protectee in only a month.

He then helped Chrissa unblock another meridian as well. She was silent throughout, only nodding or shaking her head when Chu Shen asked a question.

Aslo looked on helplessly as Chu Shen helped her. His sister was an outgoing person before but ever since she saw her mother killed she had clammed up. She barely even spoke a word unless it was to him.

He sighed. They had truly had a tragic life so far.

Xiao Chen walked past the desolate great desert and finally arrived at the end of the nether world. The other side possessed a hazy green splendor. The vibe of the living world assaulted their senses. It made Xiao Chen and Oxman feel as if it was a lifetime ago since they were in the living world, although they had only been in the underworld for a little more than a month.

“Eh? Over there…” Xiao Chen noticed a flickering purple light on the other half of the mountain left behind by Sengen.

“Swish!”

Xiao Chen flew above the few kilometer tall mountain as he unfolded his Undying Wings.

There was an Amethyst Cosmic Tree not taller than one foot. It was reasonable to say that it would be impossible for it to be amethyst in color.

Cosmic Tree, in the nether world, it would grow one inch in a hundred years, one foot in a millennium, ten feet in ten thousand years. At ten feet tall, it would be as red as a ruby, only by the time they grew to thirty feet tall would their colour change to amethyst. The longer they lived, the denser the spiritual energy they possess.

However, after examining it carefully, Xiao Chen found the problem. Although it was not ten feet tall, the trunk was growing sideways. This Amethyst Cosmic Tree had grown horizontally for no less than ten feet!

Its entire body was flickering with purple light. The trunk was almost transparent and was just as clear as a diamond.

It was impossible for Sengen to miss this Amethyst Cosmic Tree, but maybe he just didn’t put any importance in only one treasured tree. The Cosmic Tree was a rarely seen article, but Sengen had swept away a whole mountain of it and collected no less than a few dozen trunks, including two which bore the Cosmic Fruit.

Xiao Chen used Weapon Fusion and took the Amethyst Cosmic Tree into his body. This was unconditionally a sacred article in the world of immortals. Regardless of whether it was used to brew drugs or to craft a magic weapon, just by using a little Cosmic Wood, the rate of work would increase dramatically.

A ten feet tall Amethyst Cosmic Tree was definitely a rare item!

The lustrous Amethyst Cosmic Tree rose sharply from the level ground. It was gradually submerged into Xiao Chen’s body. When those huge purple roots completely separated from the soil, a brittle “tink” sound could be heard. A crystal clear divine light flickered on the ground as an Amethyst Cosmic Fruit was dragged out.

Just at this time, the little fatty Oxman who was riding on the Black Dragon King had already arrived. Looking at this scene, he immediately shouted in surprised, “Amethyst Cosmic Fruit!”

That’s right, it was indeed a glossy purple fruit. It was actually growing on the stolon.

“This… how is this possible? How did the fruit grow on the stolon, aren’t the fruits supposed to grow on the branches?” Oxman was dumbstruck. ⌈1

There was no mistake, this was definitely a rarely seen Cosmic Fruit, but the place it grew from was a little eccentric.

Xiao Chen smiled. Regardless of which, he was able to obtain an Amethyst Cosmic Fruit. This was truly an unexpected gain.

“Fatty, I’m sorry, but I want to keep this Cosmic Fruit for the little critter. It doesn’t even have a physical body now, we still don’t know if it will be able to come back to this world smoothly.”

Oxman already knew about Keke’s circumstances, he naturally wouldn’t plan to take this Cosmic Fruit from Xiao Chen. He chuckled and said, “If Sengen knew this, he might regret it endlessly. Among a few dozen of those Amethyst Cosmic Trees, only two of them bore fruit, and the one he dropped just happens to have one.”

Speaking until here. The little fatty sighed with sorrow, “The Peacock’s divine ability is really unimaginable. Even in the nether world, finding one Cosmic Tree is very challenging in itself. Yet he was able to find a few dozen of them and took an entire mountain with him. I suppose he wants to transplant them at his meditative spot.”

Exiting via the tunnel, Xiao Chen and the fatty found themselves in one of the oasis halfway up the mountain. After trekking down the dangerous mountain on the edge of dangers, they finally arrived at the foot of the mountain.

Two days later, they returned to the “Pure Land”. The bright colored fresh flowers, the rocking trees, and the fragrant soft grass was a sight for sore eyes. The specks of light and dense spiritual energy of the Pure Land was very harmonious and tranquil.

There’s no clamor of the mundane world, no fighting and scheming of human society, just by arriving at this place, one could feel as if their souls were purified.

“Oxman has returned once again, hahaha…” The little fatty survived by the skin of his teeth, and fused with the soul of the legendary Gozuki. He shouted happily in front of the village gate.

Qingqing. She was as picturesque and elegant as ever. She ran over to the village gate with agile steps. Her pure white dress and long hair fluttered in the breeze. She was just like a fallen deity, as if she was composed by a beautiful verse. She was just like a fairy made up by the world’s spiritual energy. It could be said that she was the perfect masterpiece crafted by gods.

Looking at her flying over from the fairyland, it was as if she was really a fairy. This kind of beautiful scene gave rise to some complicated desires.

Xiao Chen said without restrain, “Qingqing, if you were to go to the human society, I’ll bet the monarchs all over the continent would wage war because of you.”

Qingqing lightly creased her beautiful nose as a sharp glint circulated in her eyes, “Uncle, are you praising me, or are you scolding me as a femme fatale?”

“This girl is indeed a source of calamity.” Oxman said with a foolish tone, “I have seen two or three women with devastating beauty. Zhao Lin Er and Yan Qingcheng are extraordinarily beautiful, but somehow… they are still a level below Qingqing. Even Rowena, the one I like the most, still fall a little behind Qingqing.”

“Hehe…” The white-clothed Qingqing was intelligent and agilely walked around Oxman, she smiled and said, “Brother fatty, you are normally scatterbrained and foolish, never would I have thought you would have such a sweet mouth.” Soon after, she turned around to face Xiao Chen, and said, “Uncle, your complexion looks good. There are a few strains of black hair among the white hair now, looks like your life expectancy has increased.”

With the baptism of the leyline, Xiao Chen’s body condition had indeed become much better. More importantly, with the overflowing life energy from those divinized acupoints, his body’s constitution was slowly changing for the better.

Another half a year passed in the blink of an eye, Xiao Chen had already stayed at the Pure Land for about a year. During this time, he was determined to train and push himself to his limits. His power increased day after day. He had already stabilized his power at Historia’s Third Celestial Layer. It was no longer fluctuating like it was in the past.

He already found out from Oxman that Fairsnow was to be wed to the Middle Earth’s Tiger Clan. Presently, the troops that were escorting the bride were already on their way. Xiao Chen really wanted to make his move, but he didn’t have that kind of power at the moment.

Train in silence and forge ahead on the lonesome path by himself, that was the only thing he could do.

“Uncle…” The witty Qingqing came into the forest and found Xiao Chen at last. She gracefully jumped down from a tall tree and smiled gently, “Uncle, if you keep this up, you will become a log. You are always meditating all day long. I haven’t heard a single word from you during the past three days. This is not good for you if you keep this up. Meditating is also to train the heart, confining yourself to train like this won’t bear any good result.”

Xiao Chen suddenly understood. At the same time, he lamented. Geniuses truly existed in this world. His talent could already be said to be top notch, but if compared to Qingqing, he was still a little behind.

The eighteen year old Qingqing was more powerful than Xiao Chen and Oxman. The little fatty was not convinced and had challenged Qingqing before, as a result, he lost and ran with his tail between the legs.

Just what realm had the ethereal and vivacious Qingqing reached already, Xiao Chen did not know. What he knew was that only Lan Nuo was comparable to her in terms of talent.

“Uncle, you are so foolish, you are lost in thought again, hehe…” Qingqing giggled, and then she took out a jade bowl as if she was performing a trick, “This is a porridge made with black reishi mushroom and black sesame seed. Uncle, drink it quickly. This way, your white hair might darken sooner.”

Xiao Chen smiled and received the jade bowl. A warm feeling was flowing through his heart.

“Drink it quickly, Elder Turtle said you are very efficacious. I will cook one bowl for you everyday.” Qingqing stepped on the tree leaves and flew away gracefully.

Xiao Chen was enlightened by Qingqing, so he frequently went to tour the beastmen or jungle tribe’s villages. The beast folk were guileless and were very friendly toward him.

In the evening, in the middle of a wasteland, many tents of a certain beastmen tribe were lit up. Xiao Chen was currently sitting around the bonfire with a group of young beastmen as they were eating and drinking in the spacious outdoors. Just at this time, little fatty Oxman ran over in a hurry.

“Xiao Chen, I’ll let you in a good news. Just when Fairsnow finished paying her respects, her short-lived husband was killed by someone, hahaha…”

Xiao Chen set aside the wine cup and deer meat ⌈2⌋, wiped the oil from his mouth, and asked, “What happened?”

“Hey, have you ever heard of the number one assassin group in the mainland, Million Chrysus?” The little fatty proudly puffed up his chest.

The group of beastmen youth sitting around the bonfire were all outstanding in appearance, they were all very straightforward. One of them said, “Ox-headed brother, just spill it out, don’t keep us in suspense.”

Oxman was quite depressed. After the horns grew on his head, all his acquaintances began to call him ox-head. He snatched some deer meat and gulped down a cup of wine before he said, “Reportedly, this ‘Million Chrysus’ has already existed for countless years, and they have deep grudges against the Middle Earth’s Tiger Clan. It’s been passed down that, the first generation assassins tried to assassinate the tiger clan’s ancestor. That old White Tiger almost lost his life at that time. Hereafter, the grudges between both parties were impossible to unravel. This time, I heard that a genius was born among the youth generation of this ancient assassin group. He named himself Chrysus. It was him that assassinated the seventh son of the tiger clan’s lord. That is; Fairsnow’s husband.

“Delightful!”

The beastmen youth at the side shouted. They admired these kinds of heroics the most. They toasted in succession and gulped down the wine.

Million Chrysus, it was a long-established organization. The organization was founded a long time ago and it was already impossible to find any written records regarding their organization. They were an organization that were close to legend. During their golden age, they even dared to assassinate an immortal.

Moreover, legend had it they caused quite a few world-shaking incidents. Assassinating the White Tiger Emperor was one of the few incidents. Although they didn’t really manage to kill him, it was enough to secure their position as the best assassination group in history.

Oxman lamented, “It is reported that, even though the husband is already dead, Fairsnow was still wedded to the tiger clan. This woman is really unpredictable!”

Speaking until here, Oxman turned his head to face Xiao Chen and said, “How about… I get in touch with some brothers and go to snatch Fairsnow over, or maybe get rid of her?”

“That’s right, let’s go and kidnap her. I hear that she is one of the pearls in Southern Wasteland. Catch her and make her brother Xiao Chen’s or brother Gozuki’s wife.” The beastmen youths at the side wished for the whole world to be in chaos. They were normally very combative. After hearing something like this, they wanted to go and test their skills.

Xiao Chen shook his head and said, “With our power, it is enough to handle the youth generation, but if an old b̲a̲s̲t̲a̲r̲d̲ shows up, we will be completely wipe out. Perhaps the Fair family and tiger clan are just waiting for me to return. This is not yet the time to make a move. If I am to make my move, I will definitely make them suffer. We cannot rush this kind of thing.”

The time flowed on like water, the fleeting years passed by in a flash. Xiao Chen spent his twenty-fourth birthday at the Pure Land. He had already lived in this place for three years. This place had already become his home. The beastmen and jungle race’s tribe had already become a second hometown to him.

His white hair had already turned black again. During these past two years, Xiao Chen always drank one bowl of piping hot black sesame porridge everyday. He was touched, but he found that there was nothing he could do to repay Qingqing. She did not lack anything nor did she want anything.

He wasn’t narcissistic enough to believe that, this fairy-like girl would have come to like him. Qingqing had transcendental beauty that exceeded the splendor of the moon. Taking care of him was only because of her kindhearted nature. Even if it was another man who arrived at this place, she would also take care of him just the same.

Just because she was kindhearted, it didn’t mean she was simple. In fact, Qingqing gave Xiao Chen quite a few headaches. Towards this uncle she had picked up, Qingqing frequently teased him. Even their peers in the nearby tribe felt very helpless. Qingqing would frequently play a harmless prank on them.

Seal of Aquarius!

Secrets of Turtle’s long life!

Flying Apsara!

Xiao Chen practiced the bizarre artes he learned from the elders.

He was about to leave this place. Training the mind was also a part of meditation. He needed to enter the human societies.

“Uncle, you are really going to leave?” Qingqing was playing on a swing in the flower garden. She heaved a sigh and said, “Sigh… nobody will play with me again. How about I go discuss with my grandfather and go look for you in the Middle Earth later on.”

Lu Bu who stands out among men, the Red Hare which stands out among horses ⌈3⌋. Two years ago, the legendary Lu Bu riding on the Red Hare had made an appearance on the Middle Earth’s battlefield.

One and a half years ago, Bai Qi ⌈4⌋, the human butcher who killed hundreds of thousands of men reconstructed his physical body and returned from the nether world with an army of twenty thousand.

Nine months ago, Buddha Dipankara ⌈5⌋ entered the Shang Dynasty of Middle Earth to spread their doctrine.

Eight months ago, Tongtian dispatched many of his disciples to the national border of Hsia Dynasty.

Seven months ago, Yuanshi dispatched Yunzhongzi ⌈6⌋ to the national borders of the Middle Earth’s Zhou Dynasty.

Half a year ago, the Demon King who was missing for a millennium once again appeared in the Southern Wasteland.

Three months ago, the almost forgotten founder of the Demon Sect made an appearance in the Middle Earth.

Two months ago, Sage Confucius ⌈7⌋ led nine chosen ones out of the seventy two disciples and appeared in the Middle Earth.

One month ago, the Supreme Zhang Sanfeng ⌈8⌋ appeared in the mortal world.

Some twenty odd plus days ago, Zhuang Zhou ⌈9⌋ transformed into butterflies and made an appearance.

More than ten days ago, Xiao Li the Flying Dagger killed seven angels in the Western part of Middle Earth.

These past two years, many legendary figures began to reveal themselves for some reason. And this seemed to be just the beginning.

Xiao Chen felt it was about time to enter the Middle Earth to learn through experience.

“This is goodbye, I will miss you guys.” Leaving behind half of the Amethyst Cosmic Tree, which was even more precious than gold, Xiao Chen departed from the Pure Land. His destination; the boundless Middle Earth! ⌈10
