Well, the interludes are still main story really but you know what I mean.
Plot progression stuff!
From here on we get the POV switching method of writing the author decides to go with over interludes, at least as far as I can tell. So let’s see how it fares.

I spent about 10 hours today working with some friends to arrange my D&D party’s game characters.
2/5 complete! Amusingly two of the newer players… the two more experienced ones are being the hardest to wrangle.
I am not sure how well this campaign will go actually, I think I overestimated my ability to arrange these folks.
Oh well, such as it is.

With the new Jurassic World movie approaching I finally set aside some time to find out when it actually releases and when it’s showing here so that I could prepare to watch it.
Anyway while I was in the middle of typing this I just saw a spider behind my computer monitor so now I have to work out how I can capture it because it is in a place that I can’t really reach without moving my entire desk. This is a bit of a dilemma so I am going to observe it for now while typing this completely blindly and hoping that it will move somewhere to the left a bit so that it will enter my capture range. The problem is if it moves up or down… because both those directions lead to other obstacles and it will be harder to see it if those routes are taken.

Future Me update: I managed to release it out the window. Happiness for everyone. As long as it doesn’t climb back in… Hopefully not, right?

So it is Father’s Day.
I handed my card over just before my stepdad went off on his biking adventure for charity.
Amusing that it is held on father’s day of all days, but fitting in its own way.
Quite a long cycle ride apparently.
According to what google told me, it’s 55 miles. I don’t know if that’s impressive or not in cyclist terms to be honest, but it sounds like a lot!

It was about time after all, we have returned to the land of the interludes!
Honestly these are some of my favourite parts, so I have no issue with this.
Actually there aren’t that many this time because it seems like the author switches writing style for this point going forward, and starts to include POV chapters between main story chapters instead of lumping them all together.

I finally made a little progress with my D&D prep with that group…
A little.
I at least have some measurement of what they are interested in, but I need to work out where to take it, honestly I have no direction right now.
One person has a relatively solid character concept, but it’s very vaguely defined in terms of motivation and they said they don’t want it to be too integral to the “main plot” so I can’t use it to spin off the entire story, just a subplot or aspect of a greater scheme. Which is fair. Much better than the alternative of main character syndrome, that’s for sure.

After a couple of weeks of constant work, I have completely transcribed all of my third party material into my character sheet generator for D&D.
That was a tiresome affair, but at least it is over. For now.
Until I get more third party material.

Now I need to make a clear list of all the additional material I have added so that my players can factor it into their decision making processes for new characters.
That’s going to be another set of transcribing in a way, though much much much faster.
