I should have had this done over an hour ago but I saw that Lumi had a livestream uploading so…
I ended up waiting around to watch that.
Yes, I mean that AI motion captured physics engine tech demo from Hoyo.
Look I want to see where my gacha money is going okay!
And it looks like it’s still in good hands.
So I’m currently planning more of my Star Trek Adventures rpg campaign and I think I have settled on a ship class.
I am leaning towards the Norway Class currently. Though the Steamrunner is in a close second place.
I like the Norway Class for its appearance but the Steamrunner for its saucer separation ability.
I guess I could read the rules for Steamrunner separation and copy them over to the Norway.
Both of them are good ships that fit between the third rate Nova Class and the first rate Galaxy Class.
They’re like a sideways step from the Intrepid, not a flagship but not weak.
I just need a name for it now… I can’t use Thunderchild because that already exists in canon.
I could do USS Edelweiss perhaps, or USS Valkyria on that front? USS Chaldeas? USS Luxion?
I think I may have put myself in financial ruin without realising it.
A kickstarter just charged me for shipping, and I have two art commissions going after being on a waiting list.
Christmas of course, was just recently so I had to buy a bunch of presents.
Well the end result is I think I have just over half the money I need for this month, which is, concerning.
I can afford one of the comms and have some money left over, which might be enough to cover the other if the exchange rate plays nice.
Is it just me or do the chapters lately feel longer than usual?
Maybe I’m just tired or maybe I’m just getting too used to the other novels I edit which are like half the length.
Sometimes I just feel I’m barely making a dent in editing the chapters, and that lack of progress keeps me from leaving the comments I usually make as I go.
Maybe I need to reconsider the method I do things?
I tried using ChatGPT to edit this chapter, just out of curiosity for the result.
It didn’t go well.
Partially because I shoved the entire chapter in at once with some vague instructions.
But also because the service flagged the chapter for violent and uh… inappropriate content.
Which to be fair I should have seen coming, so yeah.
Recently I’ve been spending my spare time browsing reddit, which is strange.
I’ve never done this before except for specific games never in general.
I wonder if this is because of my sudden free time spike.
None of my games are particularly appealing to me lately either, and youtube can get boring if you do it too much.
This season is absolutely stacked for anime.
I did a count I think I’m going to be watching somewhere between 20 and 25 anime in total.
It’s absolutely nuts.
I think this is the most anime I’ve been interested in watching in one season together.
That’s not even including the couple that are still ongoing from last season.
This chapter is 765, those numbers are in order counting down. Sadly I’m scheduling this on the 3rd of the 1st, so we’re missing a 2 and a 4.
So close yet so far.
Nice though.
Now however I must get into bed and sleep, for I have a course to attend tomorrow and my anxiety is killing me.
I finished the Neural Cloud story event on hard mode.
Which isn’t some major impossible achievement, but it’s still damn hard given how min-maxed you have to be to do it comfortably.
I barely managed to scratch by with my team, thanks in part to some good luck.
It feels strange though because now it’s done the game feels void of challenge.
Which is, definitely not true. I’m wilfully ignoring the real challenge mode of the game because I am far to ill equipped to handle it.
But with the completion of this event I unlocked the ability to raise my characters an extra 10 levels. Yay for more power.
I took the phone case off my old phone and realised just how dirty it was.
It seems even after washing it every couple of months after five years of constant use it just wears out.
Well I sort of knew that when it started to split and fall apart earlier this year.
In fact earlier this year I tried to buy a new case for it but it got lost in the mail or something.
Anyway I got an entirely new phone in the end so maybe it was a good think that the case was lost and refunded.
I am scheduling this chapter I tiny bit earlier than usual because I have to sleep earlier too.
I have a four day course next week to get me a qualification that I can hopefully use to lead me into a job.
I’m quite curious as to how this course is meant to work given it’s only four days long, like can that really qualify me?
Anyway it’s government recognised so at least it will be something I can chuck on my CV for some extra points.
Plus it placates my government overlords that demand I do job searching.
I have having great fun on one of the discords I’m in.
A friend of a friend is having an amusing set of escapades.
One of their friends bought them coal for christmas.
But not just any old coal.
They delivered the first one to their mailbox (and waited for them to come outside before driving off).
But also hid a bunch of them round their house, like in their shower, glasses case, shoes and other places.
They’re still finding them live.
My friend almost convinced me to buy the latest Ace Combat game.
I’ve never played Ace Combat before.
I’ve never expressed any interest in it before.
I think it literally only came up because we discussed Idolmaster and by extension Bandai.
It’s truly a strange world we live in where things connect like that.
