I do believe a horse drawn hearse just went by my window…
That was rather surreal…
I didn’t get time to look at it properly because I didn’t notice until it was going right by and there were cars parked in the way, but it was a glass box carriage being pulled.
The sun was glaring right in my eyes off of the glass so I couldn’t make out the contents before it was obscured.
So on the way back from the shop I saw what I think was a bright object fall from the sky but unfortunately I was both standing underneath a lamppost at the time and am notoriously short sighted so I couldn’t make out any details.
I may have imagined it, it may have been a rogue firework, it may have been a meteor, I will never know.
But it didn’t fall onto my house and there’s no bombshell suddenly lodging with me, I don’t think it could possibly be aliens sadly.
Seems I have to wait a little longer for my protagonist era.
Actually given my age I will probably start to qualify for the middle aged neet getting isekaid for a second chance at life or whatever in a few years…
I am well and truly stuck on one of the challenge levels of Project Neural Cloud.
Sadly every guide I have found for preference uses characters I don’t have…
The closest I found uses a healer I don’t have, and my attempts to substitute her haven’t worked for some reason.
I might give it a few more shots tomorrow.
I’ll probably just throw it on automode in the background all day and every time it fails just put it to repeat again.
Maybe it will somehow stumble on an rng solution instead of a strategic solution.
One can hope anyway… the problem is the two more higher difficulty levels that come after…
I bought a drink at the shop today but didn’t get a snack.
I regretted it very quickly because there were no snacks in the house…
Well, I guess I could have made myself a sandwich or something…
In hindsight I should have done that…
A bit late now.
Anyway the only reason I didn’t buy a snack was because my weekly discounts would reset tomorrow.
After ReZero did the “dust explosions aren’t actually that convenient” twist making fun of the cliche of isekai protagonists defaulting to dust explosions when wanting to flex modern knowledge on unsuspecting fantasy worlders I didn’t think I’d get another amusing twist of the same type.
But this one went a step further, and had the isekai protagonist completely oblivious to existence and applications of something from Earth that other characters knew.
I am really enjoying the gimmick of the twin heroines being massive geeks who love researching objects from Earth and being really knowledgeable about them, while the protagonist is dragged along because he’s “one of those objects from Earth”.
I look forward to future chapters from this.
Chapter 1100! A milestone!
I got to celebrate with my new wifi device for my PC.
Which I then couldn’t use because we had a power outage!
Luckily it only lasted two hours, but it was annoying.
Then I installed the new wifi device!
The speeds are twice as fast as they used to be, but still half as fast as downstairs.
Hm, maybe I should try moving the device?
The instructions said to avoid ground placements so maybe I should do that?
I have spent the past couple of days working with an artist on a mecha musume scifi variant of my OC.
I have got very very absorbed in it.
I never realised how many individual mecha tropes I like in designs and working out the best combination was an interesting task.
Semi-related but we also somehow ended up discussing josei female lead design tropes too…
Unrelated to that, when this goes live I should be getting my new internet installed!
I will enter the age of tomorrow! Or well, catching up with society at least.
In theory it should be ten times faster, but we’ll see, we’ll see…
I had to sacrifice my internet today.
My family wanted to stream the football match on the large projector down the end of the garden, but the cable for that location is shared with my computer, which means if I do anything on my computer at the time I completely tank their speed. Of course they wouldn’t have that when they want to watch their sport ball. So I was forced to sacrifice my rights.
Well… I just used my phone as a hotspot so in reality it had no effect on me.
I went to the shop today but it had closed early…
That was annoying, I don’t recall there being any warning for it either…
Oh well.
Not to mention I could have gone way earlier if I had known! But I just went at my routine time…
Sigh… woe be me.
Well, I guess I will just have to go tomorrow, really sucked to go without anything nice to snack on though.
In one weeks time I will finally enter the era of fast internet!
Not super fast internet, like you people out there with gigabit connections, but the fast internet of not being on copper broadband anymore!
Much excitement is felt here in my house, by me.
In theory my speeds should jump to about ten times their current speed, which is wonderful.
I might even get back into streaming games!
The future is bright here.
Star Trek Prodigy released…
But I can’t watch it.
First because I have no account for it… but also because nobody is uploading it?!
Give me at least one option people! Please!
At this rate I will have to find someone to steal the account of to watch it… tsk.
I used a powerful tool called coincidence to be reminded of Uncle From Another World and started binge watching it.
It got lost to the aether of my backlog when it had a several week delay because of that ancient beast from two years ago that sealed the world.
Well, basically the production schedule got ruined so I forgot about it waiting for new episodes.
I got reminded of it and decided to watch, luckily I forgot most of the jokes and developments from when I read the manga back then so it feels fresh.
I forgot how great this was.
I spent a few hours finally progressing with Talos Principle today…
I uh… struggled quite a bit with the hard bonus puzzles for the first section of the DLC.
The main puzzles were easy! But my god did I struggle with the bonus puzzles.
One of them required clever very specific placement of the parts, and the other required quite a bit of thinking ahead.
Anyway, I solved them eventually… but I lost quite a bit of confidence for the upcoming extra hard section of the DLC…
I plan to just pass out in bed after this.
It’s much earlier than I usually sleep…
But I think staying up two whole nights in a row for vtuber debuts is too much.
Crazy how when I was at university less than a decade ago I would casually pull all-nighters without a second thought to watch anime or catch up on work.
Crazy stuff.
I don’t have that power anymore.
We have a special guest and a blast from the past for this chapter!
Not in the way you expect though – of course.
This time the chapter is translated by the lord Silva himself!
I actually wonder how long it has been since the site owner translated a chapter of this novel……
It’s been a veeeeeeeery long time at least. It might become a regular thing given the struggle for the pay of all the translators over the site.
Don’t tell anyone I said this though!
Anyway, enjoy!
