Someone sent me a link for an edited version of ReZero that is done entirely from the perspective of the canon timeline for other characters.
And yeah, it does make Subaru kind of incredible with how he just pulls stuff out of nowhere to save the day.
I do like how it shows things.
I don’t think it works as well in other aspects that I expected though, probably because it throws off pacing and characterisation.
I attended my interview this morning.
I survived…
I survived, but in my attempt to be friendly I think I accidentally undermined myself with excess honesty.
In other news, I finally caught up on ReZero.
I forgot how great this arc of the novel was… Also Subaru’s awesome epic speech is coming up in a few episodes.
I’m really looking forward to that one.
I think when you read this I should be just getting home from my job interview.
I wonder how it went.
I am a bundle of anxiety right now over it honestly.
Hurray for social anxiety and autism am I right?
Comicon was less fun than hoped, but I knew that going in…
After all, I was attending to serve as a guide to four young teens and two of their mothers.
We only saw half the con in the end, and I had to do so much walking.
They also managed to spend half an hour using the toilet at one point…
I am honestly not sure how that is even possible.
I left youtube on autoplay for music today and this one song came on that seemed really amateurish but had some promise.
So I figured, it’s not really that great but considering it’s probably someone’s indie song I’m impressed.
And the lyrics were decent, rhyming wasn’t great but it gave me some cool narrative ideas with the story it painted…
Anyway I tabbed over to take a look at it, and it was by an AI.
Wow, what a world we live in.
I feel like I committed some grave sin being impressed by it.
Shocking news, I actually finished the editing for this in advance this time!
Normally I do them right before I publish…
Not the best way to handle things I know but…
Well, you see how I am.
It sort of gets that way when you do something long enough-.
Anyway, I didn’t this time, so I felt a need to say it so. Enjoy.
I finished making my mod at last today.
Well finished is a relative term, I have made everything I wanted to make, up to this point.
I will do any final tweaks soon after the last round of proper game testing and then upload it for my friends to use as it was originally intended.
Since it’s all niche reference jokes for them to get.
I have been having fun with Baldur’s Gate 3… but I don’t think I am actually that good at it…
Even with a mod that increases my party size I am often struggling with fights, in theory I should be outputting more damage than the game is balanced for, yet I struggle…
This is what they mean by skill issue.
It might also just be because I am new… I’m not sure.
(I forgot to post because I was ranting to a friend on discord about how Baldurs Gate 3’s writing is a weird mix of genius and downright awful.)
(Sorry, I’m just really not appreciating how the romance progression is handled.)
(Also, I hate quests that force you to choose between ‘least worst options’ which this game seems to love.)
I was betrayed.
To my great disappointment, Baldur’s Gate doesn’t seem to be participating in the turn-based rpg sale on Steam despite being the top item in the tab…
Anyway, I bought it still, because my friends keep pushing for a multiplayer campaign.
Even though I am neck deep in Satisfactory right now already!
October arrives…
That means I should really be choosing what to do for my Halloween artwork commission for the season again…
But uh. I have other things I want too.
Not to mention it’s my mother’s birthday soon and I forgot that it was even a thing until I realised October was coming…
Oh! And I am going to comicon at the end of the month and still haven’t chosen what I want to cosplay as!
Haha… I am so screwed!
My X (formerly known as Twitter) app is in shambles.
The DMs lock up and freeze every time I try to open certain conversations, it’s becoming really hard to coordinate with some artists on there now.
I have to use the browser version to carry on conversation.
It didn’t used to do this, is it based on the new android update?
Did they screw up some backend on the site?
I would like it fixed please…
Out of interest today I put myself to work using ChatGPT to generate some scifi stories.
Nothing major, I basically just plugged in brief descriptions of key plot moments from games to see what it would come up with.
It did a surprisingly good job at creating compelling narratives from the X Series of games to be fair.
I wonder if it’s because of the overall historical approach to how it handles the lore events works well with the generation system?
I tried some halo inspired ones but they went in wild directions compared to what I imagined…
