The latest gigguk video reminded me of that time I almost wrote and created a visual novel.
I wrote the common route and the outline for two of the four girls.
I think it was four girls…
My memory is hazy.
The entire thing was about AI girls though, and it had two endings per girl.
Neither ending per girl was bad though, it was just that the same choice was presented at the end with different outcomes.
These next couple of chapters while editing actually caused me to read ahead.
It’s actually pretty rare for me to want to read ahead, usually because I like editing and giving my opinions on things at the same time.
If I read ahead it means I’ve already read it by the time I do my editing pass.
So yeah sorry guys, this was a big cliffhanger and I went ahead of you all. No shame.
Of course, you too could read ahead by joining the patreon master race.
For some reason my copy of Magical Explorer Volume 3 still hasn’t shipped even though it’s been released.
They even say it’s in stock on the page though…
Maybe I should try cancelling it and reordering it?
Hm.
I guess I’ll give it a little longer perhaps?
I’m not sure what to do with this one actually.
Welp time for me to hurry up and publish these chapters before it’s too late.
I ran over a bit because I got distracted watching some documentaries lately.
I’m not sure how I ended up on that side of youtube though… it was all about workplace safety.
I think I watched like one video on workplace safety hazards and then youtube jumped on me with suggestions.
I have so many tabs open for Genshin. I really need to start closing some of these by getting them done.
But they’re all build guides for characters and I hate artifact farming so I always quit after a couple of days of grind.
It sucks.
Oh well.
I got Nilou and pretty much fully built her day one though, guess I had enough artifacts left over that fit my needs from when I was building Kokomi or something.
Worked out pretty well… currently I’m trying to get Collei done (and by proxy have some for Nahida when she releases too) but before that I was sort of doing Yanfei while I was meant to be building Ayaka.
See what I mean by stopping halfway?
Since tomorrow is the tabletop roleplaying game day for my friend group, I think I will use the time to catch up on some plots I was planning.
I also need to find a game to run for when it cycles round to my term soon!
Otherwise I’ll be in serious trouble.
I’ll also look into writing some more backstory for my upcoming Stellaris roleplay playthrough.
Honestly I have no idea what to write here so let’s talk about 86.
I resumed reading the novels after several months of stopping.
I’ve reached the United Kingdom arc, it’s a bit of a weird one to read given the name.
I’m still trying to adapt to the whole esper powers are commonplace thing honestly.
Anyway the United Kingdoms technology is both exciting and unnerving towards me given the concept.
I think the part that unnerves me is the whole bit about souls in the setting.
Genshin is currently doing about a million web events at once.
I’ve had to open an entire separate window of chrome just to keep them tracked on.
They’re really overdoing the website stuff this time!
Nightmare.
Anyway how are people doing with the desert?
I for one am quite enjoying it.
I was a little frustrated about the clearance gimmick at first until I realised it was quest progress based and not an arbitrary requirement to solve puzzles in a certain order.
My friends are trying to lure me into Honkai again with the latest video trailer for the finale.
I have to admit it was suuuuuper tempting.
Last time I played was right when the Arc City stuff was going on, so just when the plot started to split into multiple threads.
The fact it’s taken so long for the threads to rejoin is a testament to just how long term that writing was.
Very tempting to play… but I’d need to get a controller somehow.
I’ve been having a nightmare of a time trying to upload the updates for my Stellaris mods.
For some reason the launcher decided to duplicated my mod on the dropdown list for uploads, and when I try to upload from one it gives a credential error, and when I try to upload from the other dropdown it gives a duplicate error.
There is no other mention of these errors online. And when I managed to fight my 10 year old laptop into cooperating it managed to upload at least.
But I really don’t want to fight my laptop every update from now.
This chapter is a “what if” style chapter.
Do not take it seriously.
The author is just writing fanfiction of their own work.
Well actually I suppose it’s closer to like a hidden cg in a visual novel than a what if fanfiction?
Kind of reminds me of the TRPG light novels what ifs, those absolutely crazy alternate endings of varying degrees of insanity.
Seriously those will throw you for a loop if you don’t realise they’re a what if. Especially that first one!
The fae one was a pretty good what if for what it included.
Anyway go read Min-Maxing TRPG from J-Novel Club, great light novel, has an adorable little sister.
My parents are away camping so I spent the opportunity to… tidy my room.
Seriously you do not know how long I kept delaying tidying my room just because I knew the amount of junk I’d have to haul around the house or temporarily place somewhere outside my room to reorganise.
With my parents gone I could finally use the space safely without getting in the way constantly, or getting judgemental stares for having excessive amounts of random items I for some reason can’t bring myself to dispose.
I don’t think I’m a hoarder because there’s nothing I really compulsively keep, I guess I just have issues getting rid of things I already own rather than a desire to obtain more.
And my room isn’t that bad honestly, it’s just messy rather than full.
Well I am going to set my alarm and go to sleep.
Why am I setting an alarm for a Sunday you ask?
It’s a last ditch attempt to fix my sleeping pattern that completely collapsed after I stopped working and decided to sleep in one day.
It’s scary how one late night can completely throw you off like that.
Enjoy the chapter.
