I mean the Queen just died so I was almost betting some weird Great Reset rhetoric was being thrown around about removing the monarchy or some stupid rubbish like that.
But nah it’s just another product on the marvel conveyer of consumerism.
Not sure if that’s a blessing or curse.

This means I have a 100% win rate.
Isn’t that a little crazy?
Am I the only person in the UK entering these competitions and thus winning by default?
Or is the number of entries so small that I am just winning so often by lack of rivals?

Someone I went to school with got their doctorate this week.
It feels kind of surreal to see my childhood dream getting fulfilled by someone I know.
I wonder where I lost my own way…
Was it when I started to lose motivation to try with my GCSEs?
Or when I went to a school that wouldn’t allow me to do more than two science subjects?
Or was it when I dropped out of University for failing to keep up with the modules that held no interest to me?
It’s weird how life works.

Now I remember next to nothing about that novel except that it was in my early days of reading translations, and that I was slightly bummed when it was dropped.

After a full week of binge reading one web novel, I’m mentally exhausted.
I’m not kidding.
I started reading Little Tyrant expecting some trash. The story turned out great.
I ended up reading the entire thing in about four days. It was insane.
I did complete kill myself in the process though, barely slept because I was reading so much on my phone.

The new Genshin event has been exhausting, I’ve had no love for the exploration side of it.
Which is insane given how much I loved exploring in this game.
The event just makes the exploration part a real chore.
The island swapping mechanic makes it too hard to keep track of everything you’ve done and may have missed.
Mona’s island especially sapped all my remaining enthusiasm.
I just skipped over the rest of the content in a rapid fashion and did some basic exploring of the oceans then decided to quit.
I’ll go back to completing Tsurumi island, then on to the other two smaller regions that were released before the dendro nation eventually launches.
