I somehow got involved in watching Reincarnated as a Slime again.
Amusingly I got a tweet notification that started with [Notice] and my brain autoprocessed it into the way Great Sage says it in my head.
But that’s not the main thing I wanted to talk about, just an amusing anecdote.
I was mostly impressed by how the anime is still going for Slime.
I think the only other anime I’ve seen go for completion like this that isn’t for a generic shounen is Strike the Blood.
Well, there’s still room for Slime to end up unfinished, and Danmachi might achieve that goal first.
We’ll see, who will achieve goalhood!
I venture to comicon this weekend.
Sadly, due to my indecisive approach… I haven’t got a cosplay prepared.
Honestly I didn’t even have any planned…
I had a lot of ideas for who I might go as but nobody felt particularly relevant to the current era.
I wanted someone from a 2024 anime but I really couldn’t choose one…

What a timeline I live in.
We watched Campfire Cooking of all things, and Grace of Gods.
Well, it was fun so no complaints, I wonder if they will do it again though.
I just had to replay several hours of Baldur’s Gate because I played some zones out of the intended order…
It meant quests in a previous zone had all been disabled because I had gone “too far ahead”…
So much for open world! Well I sort of get it, I went to a zone semi-directly tied to the main story so things progressed weirdly.
I also had an incident a while back where Shadowheart’s macguffin triggered but then she went back to not talking about it because I encountered what I assume was meant to be the second scene of its story relevance?
I almost turned off my PC with this window tabbed and without scheduling the post.
Now that would have been a disaster!

My artist friend is doing an commission for me on the side and I left most of the details up to them…
But uh, somehow they started combining bits of maid attire with a classroom teacher scenario but using the scifi plugsuit as a base?
It’s very… well it’s certainly a thing of all time…
I’m wondering where this will end up now.
I have spent 31 hours playing Badlur’s Gate 3.
And 35 hours modding Baldur’s Gate 3.
Do you see my problem?
I have spent more time staring at spreadsheets of in-game stats than actually playing the game!!!
I haven’t finished Act 1 even! Barely even half finished that!
But I’ve already made effectively two original subclasses by recreating the old style Cavalier to the best of my abilities and created a weapon that emulates Final Fantasy XIV’s Red Mage gameplay for Cleric-Warlock multiclass characters.

I have spent the same amount of time modding the game as I have actually playing it.
That’s how crazy I am… well… sort of.
I just really really wanted to make a funny spell and sword referencing two of my most popular past characters.
I did not have “Haze Reverb English Release” on my 2024 bingo…
But here we are.
I can’t even bring myself to talk about ReZero, this is such a bigger shock to me.
This game was literally cobbled together on the hopes and dreams of a bunch of giantess artists!
I was fully convinced this thing would never get an English release because it’s absurdly niche!
I literally only tracked its development out of morbid curiosity for if they could pull it off as an art team.
The realm of Satisfactory kidnapped me today…
I spent several hours just trying to organise some basic stuff…
Literally just the starter iron production factory took me hours because I made the dumb idiot move of dismantling everything before rebuilding it…
So I had nothing producing the parts I needed to organise everything… so I had to make them by hand…
Yeah.
But it works now!
Automation is king!
Now I need to do the same for my Copper production line… before I start work on the Steel production line… but first I need coal power…
The factory never stops growing.
Chapter 100!
Recently I have been hit by a strong desire to play Baldur’s Gate and my friends constantly streaming it and inviting me to join them on a multiplayer campaign hasn’t helped…
In a few days Steam is doing the RPG sale so I am going to pick it up then if it’s on sale, but really, my friends aren’t making it easy to wait even a few more days.
Well, whatever the case, I am sloooowly making my way through Satisfactory content…
This is my second day in a row craving biscuits.
I thought it was just a yesterday thing… oh well, I guess I will face reality.
Tomorrow I will buy some!
That should work well. Unless I suddenly don’t want any.
Knowing my luck… might be possible.
Nintendo just utterly destroyed a mobile game inspired by Pokemon, which they had just about enough legal right to do for obvious reasons.
But now they’ve set their sights on Palworld. Yup. Now of all times…
It’s hilarious to me because they haven’t gone in on IP grounds, because I guess they know they have no leg to stand on. Apparently it’s a court case over Patent Infringement instead.
So oh boy, we’re going into the legislation quagmire of copyrighting game mechanics!
And the patent that it appears that Pokemon is trying to use against Palworld is literally “The mechanic of throwing an object at a creature to capture it in a 3d open world space”.
The most basic of mechanical concepts ever.
The development of this chapter gives me mixed feelings, I’ll let you read it and decide for yourself.
I think the world building of this author is pretty decent but they’re not the best at crafting a narrative inside it.
Or maybe the opposite?
It’s hard to explain, but there’s a mismatch in the pieces of this story, and this chapter felt like one of them to me.
Well, I will continue reading (not that I have a choice) and see how things go before passing judgement.
The dreaded meeting I had today was actually the best I have had ever.
The new guy was a perfect fit for me, I feel like there might actually be some decent progress this time.
