Editor for and Demon Sword Maiden!
Gentrified NEET and siscon.
Currently looking for an imouto. Applicants must be under the age of 16, cute and with long hair.
Optional traits are: Neko, princess and/or maid.
Recently I have developed a hobby for looking at pieces of art, and then trying to imagine a story or scenario for it.
Specifically anime art of course.
But by looking at design elements and trying to piece together a story you can really appreciate what thought has to go into it.
Things like expressions, clothing, accessories, they all help inform you of a persons personality or the situation they are in.
It’s really interesting.
The steam sale is in full swing and I can’t find anything I want.
What a novel experience.
Well there are games I want, but I’m looking for fun replayable indie games that I can play for thirty minutes at a time or so.
Just something relatively casual to make a bit of progress in bit by bit.
Maybe I should go back to Satisfactory since they’re about to do an engine upgrade?
I’m sure that would be fun.
Bit of a content warning for this chapter, it really deserves it.
This chapter has some themes in it that are probably worth avoiding if you’re sensitive to certain things.
I don’t want to say what because of spoiler reasons for regular readers, but, just a heads up okay.
Most of you will probably be fine but just make sure to be careful with this one.
So today I’m actually scheduling 5 chapters.
I think this is the most I’ve ever had to schedule on a regular day, obviously not counting like Christmas where it can get upwards of thirty and stuff.
That’s a little different.
Anyway hope you enjoy.
Twitter is in a state of nuclear meltdown.
The prevailing theory seems to be that twitter didn’t pay for some of their server services and thus tried to restrict traffic.
By accident as a result they created a loop of twitter pinging its servers for data that then gets a restricted response, which causes twitter to ping itself again for data.
It does this so much that the servers are starting to scream.
Poor architecture.
Sucks to be him right now though doesn’t it.
One of my players for my Star Trek campaign has dropped out of tabletop roleplaying altogether.
Of course, that includes my Star Trek campaign…
This is a major problem.
I started with five players and now I have two, there’s just no way I can sustain the game at this point.
I might have to make a call for aid. It’s a problem and a half.
Someone please remind me that I need to get my hair cut soon.
Like, I’ve been saying I need to do this for months.
But it’s literally starting to cause me problems and I should get it done.
Also unrelated news.
The latest Star Trek episode was pretty great!
Anyway, moving on. Your chapter.
I am sure that many of you have forgotten by now but, the time as come.
A couple of months ago I expressed that due to the fantastic work of our translators here we had built up an impressive quantity of Patreon exclusive chapters!
In fact if you were to subscribe to the Patreon right now you could read up to the impressive… Chapter 914!
But that’s not the point.
As foretold, we decided to reward our loyal views with an equally impressive one chapter a day for an entire month!
That fated month was to be July, and do you know what month it is now? July!
So starting today you will have a single Maiden to read every day!
Hope you’re ready for a binge.
I reached 60 in Star Rail the other day, can’t remember if I mentioned it in any of my rambles.
Today I finished getting my third character to Level 80.
Tomorrow I will start on getting my fourth to 80, after which my core team will be done and I can focus on their cones.
I still haven’t heard back from one of the jobs I applied for.
Which is uh, awkward, but I mean I’ll give them a week from the jobs closing date I think that’s reasonable, it’s only been a few days and one of those wasn’t a working day so it’s not significant. Probably.
I’ll give them two more days I think.
Assuming I didn’t like, screw something up.
I think.
Eugh.
I am doing the editing for these chapters with an orchestral remix of the Blue Archive soundtrack.
I forgot just how epic these remixes can sound when you have so many instruments in tandem.
I can see why Genshin likes making concerts out of them.
I used to listen to these types of things a lot when writing, especially theme songs and such to get the mindset of the setting.
I think there was someone reading this chapter as I did some edits to it.
Hello reader if that was you!
I forgot to note the name, I just saw the icon at the top of the document as I was going and kept going.
It might have been one of the other staff though.
Anyway, that is the first time I’ve ever had that happen, so it stood out to me.
I had almost forgotten to preorder the next physical edition of a light novel I am reading.
That would be a disaster because I would forget about it entirely if I didn’t.
That’s because the physical versions release like five months after the digital ones, so the gap is large enough I would just forget to do it until after they had sold out most likely.
I actually only have two series on preorder now though, down from three.
It is kind of crazy how close to 100 we are getting.
For some reason this novel both feels like it’s going quickly and slowly.
I actually read ahead a bit after these past few chapters so I have already read these as I go to edit them.
Which is relatively rarer these days, I used to read all the chapters as they were translated back when I started.
