Well to be fair I was watching a lets play/review of it on the side to see if it was worth getting into.
Looks pretty fun honestly!
But I doubt I would stick around long enough to enjoy it
So I managed to accidentally kill one of palworlds world bosses today when it was ten levels higher than me…
I managed to aggro it by accident and its attack immediately killed my flying mount, which sent me gliding away off a cliff to safety…
The boss then followed after me and immediately died of fall damage.
Which is hilarious because I think the pal can actually function as a flying mount?
So… yeah… it forgot how to fly I guess?
I spent most of today crossbreeding different combination of pals in palworld just to see what results I could get!
I ended up getting some pretty rare ones I think, making my way down the paldeck…
It seems that rarer pals combined tend to make rarer pals too! Makes logical sense!
The highlight of the day was the game literally guilt tripping me for crossbreeding though…
I crossbred some pals to create some new pals… then crossbred those together…
And eventually I ended up with this pal that has “Modified DNA” as their trait and a description that basically calls them an artificial abomination… oops…
I have reached the stage of palworld where I start to minmax my pals and not just my infrastructure.
I do however need to start considering where to relocate my main base for breeding and farming though.
Originally my main base was going to be my do-all base but ironically my mining base ended up being more effective after some expansion.
My Satisfactory experience of building upwards came into use there.
Now my ‘main base’ kind of languishes halfway between a breeding facility and legacy storage for things I haven’t got round to moving to my ‘mining base’.

I built my second major mining base in Palworld but I can’t quite get the pals to focus on what I want them to.
Also, pathing is not great.
I tried building a tower structure to save space by stacking one on top of the other but they couldn’t work out how to use stairs.
I actually ended up putting the stairs outside so they could use them, which took some redesigning, but in the end it worked out.
However, they still keep doing the worst possible jobs at the wrong times!
Give us a priority system!
Why are my level 3 miners wasting time on the stone quarry when the level 1 miners can do that!
Apparently there’s some popular internet article trying to argue time travel is a thing because some microscopic study of atomic structure has proven timespace isn’t consistent.

I had first not-dungeon/boss related death in Palworld today.
My base got raided by a group of flying pals.
It was my first encounter with Beakons…
Terrifying!
Well, part of the problem was that they were 10 levels higher than the pals on my base, and I hadn’t upgraded my equipment yet because I haven’t ventured far enough into the map to warrant it.
I didn’t expect the higher level enemies to start coming to me…
I’ve been having too much fun breeding and building and not levelling up or exploring…
The Nijisanji drama just doesn’t stop now does it?
I feel like every time I watch an update video outlining everything going on the video ends with another video.
I’m glad to see that there is some proper action being taken against the company by fans though.
The other companies speaking out is good too, but the big sponsors are not the ones involved.
I feel sorry for the other livers, but they’re the product that Niji is selling and the the only way to hit Niji will have to involve them as collateral.
