Editor for and Demon Sword Maiden!
Gentrified NEET and siscon.
Currently looking for an imouto. Applicants must be under the age of 16, cute and with long hair.
Optional traits are: Neko, princess and/or maid.
I spent most of today busy, which is unique for me.
And I don’t mean that I am normally doing nothing, I just mean what I am usually doing is for my own enjoyment so I don’t consider that as busy.
Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to start the new full release of Satisfactory though, I wanted to start today… but got delayed.
I’m moving on from X4 temporarily to avoid burnout but I will probably just forget the game exists anyway now…
Is it just me, or do other people feel like 199 is just a nice number?
I am not sure why, it just feels good…
It’s round, and nice, and comfortable.
I have no idea what I am trying to convey, but it’s just a pleasing number right?
Is that a weird thing to feel about a number?
There are other nice numbers too, but they don’t feel as soft as 199…
But then “One Nine Nine” is better than “One Hundred and Ninety Nine”…
One thing about this site that you may not know is that each publisher has exclusive access to the portion of the site that they publish for, aside from the admins and owners of course.
This causes me annoyance… for a petty reason.
We get notifications as a site-wide thing… so I can currently see that there are 2 comments in need of approval…
But those two comments are on stories I do not publish for, so I cannot clear the notifications by dealing with the comments.
This brings me annoyance.
NATO was trending on twitter today, according to the twitter trending tab… oh wait it’s not twitter.
Not important.
NATO was trending, except it wasn’t, hardly anybody tweeting about it.
A weirdly large number of pro-Russian tweets though… I was surprised by that, in a way.
The internet is a strange world…
This is Robinxen talking to you from the land of “Oh god it’s 7am and I am tired but I just remembered I had important stuff to post before midday”!
I can tell you the weather here is “Frantic”.
I’m glad we’ve cleared that up, anyway, I got distracted helping a friend… so now I am late for this.
Haha, the woes of adulthood.
Let’s progress now…
The full version of Satisfactory released a few days ago but I still haven’t had a chance to play it…
Actually I haven’t had a chance to play anything at all recently, been busy with other stuff.
That includes my ongoing X4 playthrough, to my annoyance.
And then on top of that I still have to get round to buying and playing Baldurs Gate…
I will. Eventually.
The development of this chapter gives me mixed feelings, I’ll let you read it and decide for yourself.
I think the world building of this author is pretty decent but they’re not the best at crafting a narrative inside it.
Or maybe the opposite?
It’s hard to explain, but there’s a mismatch in the pieces of this story, and this chapter felt like one of them to me.
Well, I will continue reading (not that I have a choice) and see how things go before passing judgement.
The dreaded meeting I had today was actually the best I have had ever.
The new guy was a perfect fit for me, I feel like there might actually be some decent progress this time.
Hopefully things can progress…
I spent most of my day putting roleplay character sheets together.
Oh and I guess I had one of my regular work meetings…
I actually have another one on Thursday too… this time in person.
I really hate travelling over there but oh well, can’t be helped, my income depends on it.
Such is the way of adulthood in modern society.
My friend randomly sent me The Lazer Collection today…
That was… well nostalgic.
Crazy to think that those are almost two decades old now…
Ah, they’re literally becoming retro memes. The internet was a different place back then.
I remember all the windows movie maker tributes that were just slideshows and music…
Also all of the narrative lets play things but the story was just poorly spaced text that appeared on the screen as speech!
The day after tomorrow I have one of my meetings…
I hate weekly meetings.
I want them to go back to once every two weeks.
No that’s too humble.
Take them back to lockdown days where it was once a month at most, and once every six months at worst!
That was truly the highlight of my life…
Amusingly I managed to get a temporary job right after that.
Hello friends, sleep deprived Robin here!
Yes, I am very tired, it’s very late, I am very behind…
The reason, as you might expect, was a delay while doing some job hunting today.
I had to copy out all the content of my CV onto this really impractical website… really annoying…
Do you ever have a conversation that ends up in your researching a truly strange topic?
In my case today it was studying about regional variances in gemstones.
Like this one type of gemstone that is basically only found in Finland and Madagascar…
Which are… not really two you’d normally compare together, let alone against the rest of the world right?
Amazing how things develop like this.
Today I learned about rotor sails.
I understand logically they’re sound, the maths makes sense, but they just feel like someone is exploiting a glitch in the physics engine…
What do you mean spinning a featureless upright tube can pull a boat along?
It feels wrong!!! Wrong I tell you!
Hello everyone, it’s your favourite science fiction nerd to give you another update on the art progress of his current original characters scifi redesign!
We started over again!
Yeah… nobody saw it coming, I know… but we suddenly got a burst of inspiration from Honkai of all places.
Originally we were leaning heavily on the Phantasy Star Online 2 kind of aesthetic, but we were struggling to create two coherent versions of the main outfit, since my friend wants to cosplay it so we needed a cosplay appropriate version. Yes, I have friends, yes they cosplay, yes this one is female too.
Anyway, that’s all, here’s your chapter.
