Well today was a very productive day for me sort of.
I spent most of it on Stellaris taking screenshots for my updated mod showcase.
You see when I first posted the mod it had about 15 technologies included and about 10 of those were just variants, because of that there wasn’t much to show.
Well now the mod has 50+ technologies and a massive variety, yet I was still only showing about five things in my showcase!
Naturally of course I finally got round to updating it, now it shows off a lot more, and should be more appealing.
Although it would have been better to do that from the start haha.
Chapter two of the slightly overdue chapters.
I’ll definitely make sure to stick to manually preparing my schedule instead of using the automated one.
Timezones are whack my friends. Even though I set the app to adjust to my zone.
Well, that’s just how some things work out.
At least it saved me having to think of some pre-chapter rambles heh.

Today I learned the hard way not to outsource my calendar reminders to third party software running in a different timezone to me.
According to the schedule I still have time to schedule these chapters.
But in fact they are overdue.
So using the reminders to remind me was a bust. Back to the manual way like I used to.
Sorry for these being late.
I have learned my lesson.
In fact the schedule still lists them as for tomorrow! Talk about confusing!
Anyway I’ll rush the posts that are overdue.

So I will be going to watch the new Jurassic World soon.
I am really excited to watch it.
One of my friends on discord gave it a bad review, but they went to watch it in a way that made them feel sick so… I think their review is biased.
I mean seriously who actually watches these things in those moving chair things that do the fancy effects and other stuff?
Yeah it’s cool for rides but not for full length movies!

I spent all of today borderline religiously working on my Stellaris mod.
Well I also did a little spinoff afterwards where I made a little side-mod to celebrate 29 years of Jurassic Park.
Look, I like the franchise and I was in a Stellaris modding mood so I figured I’d throw them in a blender together.
It’s just a little mod that lets you research and build Jurassic Park as a building in the game, nothing major.
If anything the only significant part about it was that I discovered that the main gate still looks good even if you crush it into 52×52 pixels.

So let’s talk about the art commissions of my original character I always make!
I recently commissioned a somewhat meme-y piece of art based on a comment my friend made.
The heroine Angelica from one of my favourite light novels, and currently airing anime, looks a lot like my character.
Taking advantage of this of course we decided it’d be funny to commission a spiderman meme!
Yes I’ve got an artist doing a piece of art based on the two of them being shocked at how similar they look to each other.
The sketch is really funny, I’ll share the full piece when it’s done in a few weeks for sure!

The new No Man’s Sky event is giving me no end of grief, I really dislike it.
I think it’s the worst time limited expedition they’ve done so far.
It absolutely sucks that they think losing hours and hours of progress can be defined as ‘fun’.
What annoys me more is the huge swaths of players defending the event by saying “get good” or “don’t play, it’s optional”.
Yeah it’s optional, optional if I want to miss out on an event reward that was half the reason I bought the game in the first place.
I literally bought the game because of the Living Ship update, that was the main purpose.
Now there’s a new living ship? Of course I want it!
BUT THIS DARNED EVENT IS HELL.

This chapter kind of reminded me of that popular manga about the elf from the heroes party dealing with the fact the hero party is dying of old age.
Well, I suppose any story that looks at the effects of time would do that.
I like how this novel is actually giving the reincarnation narrative value and consequence instead of just second chance or plot hook.
