I don’t have the level of brain power or effort to write much for this pre-chapter rambles today.
I’m quite a bit exhausted.
Spent all the day roleplaying, had to do the event on Genshin which I suck at and it took too many attempts to get it half done…I still need to do the other half tomorrow.
My X4 game is either a miracle or a disaster…I can’t decide which…because two of the major factions of the game have been eliminated in a war, removing an entire race from the universe sandbox. It’s amazing that it’s possible but also not so amazing that my game is now half wrecked by what is blatantly a violation of canon…especially when I was hoping to use that save to experience all the future DLC new too for a unique experience of what happens when a well established empire collides with a brand new one that DLC added instead of coexisting from the start.
I forgot to do my Genshin login because I was distracted with X4.
Alas.
Guess I’ll have to try and remember to do both tomorrow. Or today, since it’s 5am.
I somehow managed to tank the Silicon economy in my X4 game by overmining.
I used to get 130,000 per haul but now I’m lucky to get 110,00 per haul.
That might not seem like much until you realise how frequently my vessels unload their hauls! The per haul drop isn’t over significant but the accumulated loss in profits is a massive dent in my plans to create a mining empire!
Well actually it’s not too bad, I just need to locate another system that I haven’t destroyed the economy of. Or reallocate one of my silicon vessels to mine ice or something instead to let the economy recover from my overabundance.
I just got kidnapped by a mining ship in X4….
I was exploring the new feature of being able to walk around your ship and stations, I didn’t realise the teleporter took me to docked ships as well as new station modules!
I saw a bridge on the teleport list and started walking around the bridge! It turned out it was a huge mining vessel and it started to fly away!
This left me stranded on their ship since I couldn’t go back to the station where my ship was. I was a stowaway!
I had to order one of the my NPCs to dock at the big ship and pick me up in order to escape. I’m just lucky it was a big mining ship that kidnapped me, if it had been a smaller one then I would have to wait until it landed somewhere else!
I started playing X4 which my friends bought me for Christmas.
I’m having a lot of fun as a former avid player of X3!
There are some major differences which I’m slowly trying to adapt too, least of which being the SETA not being a default component anymore.
My usual money making schemes either don’t work or need adjusting.
I can’t tell if trading is easier or harder yet…but it’s different.
Getting out of my chair is a joy though! I’m in love with it! I hope the bigger ships have more than just a cockpit to look around in.

It’s been a lot of chapters to schedule and has taken some many hours but my hard work is finally complete.

I got some rad news for you.
Okay actually it’s not good news, looks like we need to retroactively reduce the DSM batch from 15 to 10.
I’m scheduling this literally three hours before it goes live, but I have to do other things too so.
And our poor translator barely managed to get 15 chapters done before we decided that we needed to keep the safety buffer in case we miss a week.
This is the last chapter I will be scheduling this morning!
But fear not readers! You still have 105 chapters to come right after this!
Assuming I managed to schedule them in time that is!

I know the editing is rushed to non-existent and there are basically no comments from me because honestly the idea of copying over the footnote template to add them in is more than my frontal lobe can currently handle without overheating.
But maybe things will improve in the next 105 when I’m not suddenly panicking because I forgot timezones were a thing and had to schedule them all immediately because the website experiences Christmas the day before I experience Christmas and thus I needed to schedule two days early instead of one.
My Arpeggio of Blue Steel volume arrived yesterday.
I still haven’t had time to read it.
Well I won’t be today anyway because my head is killing me. Oh wait it’s dawn so…later I might. After sleeping.
That’s still today.
My head is starting to throb, I guess 5 hours of editing while skipping on sleep is bad for you.

So the people I play Dungeons and Dragons with collectively got me X4 Foundations today. Or yesterday technically.
This is a space sim I’ve been keeping on my wishlist since it’s launch years ago.
I was holding off buying it while waiting for the DLC of my favourite race to be added.
They cut me off early though and have bought it for me in advance!
I’m looking forward to trying to recreate my trade empire from X3 in this new game.
I can’t tell if ships are sailing or not this chapter.

It’s currently getting on for 7am so I am going to have to call it a day and sleep soon though so I will schedule the last when I wake up.
