I finally finished Demon Lord 2099 today.
I enjoyed it pretty well, interestingly paced anime too, covering two volumes in the entire season.
Usually you go a little faster than that with LN adaptations, so it was a refreshing pace.
I was hoping for something a little more Shadowrun in vibe I think, but I think the overall setting worked pretty well.
The first arc felt a bit more cyberpunk to me than the second, which was mostly just dealing with the leftover fallout of the 500 year ago stuff.
I have to apologise to EternallyBocchi. But, it’s too funny.
Some of you may remember a long time ago I wrote a parody side story chapter, where Nanako gets a bit physical with Lily.
The chapter took place between two actual chapters, but was entirely made up.
I scheduled it as a fake chapter in place of the real chapter it was meant to be hoping for an amusing outcome…
Well…
Years later it paid off big time.
One of those bot scalper sites stole the chapter in place of the real chapter, and someone read it without realising it was my fake chapter… and loathed it.
They loathed it so much they now hate the entire character of Nanako.
I’m in stitches from the laughter.
I utterly ruined this story for that random reader.
Sorry not sorry, EternallyBocchi. Should have been reading it on the real site!
I was expecting something more elaborate from this chapter, but for once the author moved on quite quickly!
Seems like there’s something they want to get to, at least we can hope for some decent pacing right?
The story continues, with the second of our five Christmas chapters for Maiden!
Meanwhile as I work on this my artist is giving me updates on my Christmas comm from them.
It’s exciting to see.

It’s been bugging me for a while, but did anyone else get reminded of Shelter while watching the music video for Neuro-sama’s song LIFE?
Anyway, as someone who is a sucker for AI girl tropes, I really loved that piece.
Genuinely adore these sorts of depictions of AI characters. The one from Assassination Classroom was a good refreshing take too.
I used to have a list of them but I think that was lost when the community I made the list for ended up shutting down.
The same as my massive list of all isekais ever along with the recommended watch orders I had for certain franchises.
I stumbled on a webtoon or something that’s about a combination of standard fantasy, murium and scifi settings.
To be honest the general style and tone isn’t exactly to my preference, but I crave this kind of crossover world travel stuff so much I will eat the slop.
Oh right, it’s called Trinity Wonder if you want to know, the comments aren’t too positive, but I repeat the above statement.
I have now finished all the main story content for GFL2!

I also did some of the side content, but I’m going to take my time chipping away at those bit by bit.
My intent is to let that try and fill time between events, you know as is sometimes needed.
Well, with how they handle Neural Cloud I doubt there will be any real event downtime, just smaller events between bigger events.
But it’s useful to have filler content on the to-do list for slow days.
Also lets me redivert my focus back to Blue Archive and Heaven Burns Red which I need to catch up on story on.

I am READING a lot of game stuff lately.
Today I managed to binge the rest of the story currently available for Heaven Burns Red, I was a bit overpowered for the final boss battle… it wasn’t that hard at all…
But I did go on a large tangent racing through events so my levels were almost maxed out… the only thing limiting me was the equipment which is gated by story progress.
Anyway!
Wow, the writing of this game… yep… it’s definitely something by KEY.
Girls Frontline 2 has opened preloading, exciting news.
I’m still a bit annoyed by the whole publishing division, with two different publishers handling different countries almost randomly-.
But it is what it is.
I did consider using a vpn to swap versions to the direct one without a third party publisher, but in the end I am too lazy.
Hopefully it will save me some future hassle too.
I just hope that this doesn’t screw up my modding dreams for this game.
