I forgot how good Nigel Marven was at acting with cgi creatures, and just acting in general really for a nature presenter.
He really sold the whole experience of a time travelling zoologist, totally makes sense why he was chosen later on for Prehistoric Park.

After being inspired by the new Mecha Aris in the Blue Archive PV I thought…
What if you substitute the robot loli design of Aris for an Autognome in DnD… then made her an Artificer Armorer… then gave her the Powered Armor from Kwalish adventure…
And then gave her a Laser Rifle?

Anyway the end result is the most scifi piece of nonsense you can imagine and utterly overpowered. I deem her my magnum opus.

As I was editing this my stomach started to churn weirdly and I couldn’t figure out why because even though I have had a lot of cola today I have also eaten quite a bit too, so it shouldn’t have just been because I had too much cola.
Then it struck me, in the last few hours the only thing I have eaten was a large slice of chocolate cake…

I think I will have to re-accept the reality that I am most likely more lactose intolerant than I want to admit to myself.

I finally made headway into the new XIV story patch, writing is definitely a step up. There is a tolerable level of Wuk Lamat at last!
I liked how they’re focusing more on your bond with Sphene rather than Wuk Lamat’s bond with everyone.

But uh… Wow they really made the new duty trial need a minimum item level that requires you to be decked out in tomestone gear.
I genuinely don’t meet the minimum item level, I think I was 105 or 108 or something? So I’m going to have to do some grinding.

Also are we genuinely facing off against a villain whose great big grand plan is…. to copy exactly what led the Ea to extinction?

After a string of terrible anime this season I have to say that From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated has completely knocked it out of the park…
I think my cheeks will cramp up from the dumb smile I am getting on my face at watching a 52 year old man navigating otome game tropes.

After finishing all the episodes it makes me want the same studio to adapt that other otome game reincarnation story where a guy gets reincarnated as the father of the villainess, and decides he will just spoil his daughter. I should consider re-reading that one if it’s still around online, I enjoyed it.

I decided to throw myself into rereading Seoul Station’s Necromancer because I couldn’t remember where I dropped off.
Only because I made a joke about how it’s another one of the many many Necromancer stories the other day.

Anyway, it’s better than I remembered actually. I guess I didn’t get a strong impression of it before, but it has some unique ideas included honestly.
It makes sense, I quite like it.
