The new Online Safety Act in the UK has not gone down well at all.
Complete mess of a law, barely any sites have implemented it, meaning half the internet is barely functional from the UK.
Absolute mess of a situation.

I get what they were trying to do with this law but man they really went about it wrong.
And things only got this bad because the actual offender sites refused to do anything voluntary so the government forced a “solution”.

It did not solve anything except make the user experience horrible, and permit massive censorship overreach.
