NNS just announced they’re translating the visual novel Hacking the Moon to Find My Goddess
I’ve known about this one a little while, but I still can’t help but laugh every time I recall the basic plot setting.
It’s set in the near future where humanity has basically offloaded all management to AI, and one student manages to hack into the AI that governs all other AI.
Instead of using this unprecedented power to make himself wealthy, achieve world domination, or live life on cruise control…
He asks the AI which governs the entire world… to find him a girlfriend…
The AIs solution? To build him a custom made android with a full AI.
It’s now August, this month despite the years that have passed remains firmly entrenched in my mind as both the month that is used for summer holidays at school, but also the birthday of my childhood best friend. I do wonder what she is up to now.
I don’t actually remember the date at all, I just remember it’s in August.
How amusing.
I’m actually really bad at remembering numbers, it’s quite amusing in a different way.
Never bother telling me dates and stuff, I will forget.
I am well and truly stuck on one of the challenge levels of Project Neural Cloud.
Sadly every guide I have found for preference uses characters I don’t have…
The closest I found uses a healer I don’t have, and my attempts to substitute her haven’t worked for some reason.
I might give it a few more shots tomorrow.
I’ll probably just throw it on automode in the background all day and every time it fails just put it to repeat again.
Maybe it will somehow stumble on an rng solution instead of a strategic solution.
One can hope anyway… the problem is the two more higher difficulty levels that come after…
I bought a drink at the shop today but didn’t get a snack.
I regretted it very quickly because there were no snacks in the house…
Well, I guess I could have made myself a sandwich or something…
In hindsight I should have done that…
A bit late now.
Anyway the only reason I didn’t buy a snack was because my weekly discounts would reset tomorrow.
So although swapping to my backup browser solved the issue of chrome crashing while editing chapters, it hasn’t solved the issue of wordpress struggling with the 10,000 chapters we have on the site.
Yeah you read that right, this website has over 10,000 chapters!
11,854 pages to be exact the time of this scheduling…
Obviously that does a number on the service when trying to load them all.
I hate it when I get a craving for something really specific to eat.
It’s even worse because if it’s related to the bakery where I live there’s a 50/50 chance the craving will be the item they discontinued years ago.
Which is basically like a self inflicted act of torture on me.
Anyway luckily it’s the other one, but I have no idea if I have the energy to go to the bakery to buy something I will eat in ten minutes…
Why are cravings like this?
Wordpress kept crashing again, but I managed to isolate the cause to chrome for some reason.
So here I am using my backup browser that literally only remains installed on my pc because it had a more functional Flash extension.
Wow, that really takes me back, I don’t even use it anymore because the internet has well and truly moved on from Flash…
Takes me back to the days of online games…
Especially here in the UK. Nothing takes me back more than stuff like the BBC online games such as Roar or Walking With Dinosaurs.
I used to spend hours playing the Ballad of Big Al dinosaur survival game.
I almost entirely forgot to edit and schedule this chapter until after I turned off my PC and was about to prepare to sleep…
Only to see the reminder on my phone!
LUCKY ME!
Except not, because wordpress keeps crashing!
So I can’t even schedule it properly!
After ReZero did the “dust explosions aren’t actually that convenient” twist making fun of the cliche of isekai protagonists defaulting to dust explosions when wanting to flex modern knowledge on unsuspecting fantasy worlders I didn’t think I’d get another amusing twist of the same type.
But this one went a step further, and had the isekai protagonist completely oblivious to existence and applications of something from Earth that other characters knew.
I am really enjoying the gimmick of the twin heroines being massive geeks who love researching objects from Earth and being really knowledgeable about them, while the protagonist is dragged along because he’s “one of those objects from Earth”.
I look forward to future chapters from this.
Chapter 1100! A milestone!
I got to celebrate with my new wifi device for my PC.
Which I then couldn’t use because we had a power outage!
Luckily it only lasted two hours, but it was annoying.
Then I installed the new wifi device!
The speeds are twice as fast as they used to be, but still half as fast as downstairs.
Hm, maybe I should try moving the device?
The instructions said to avoid ground placements so maybe I should do that?
If all goes well then today I should receive the powered wifi adapter thingy! Hurray!
I will test it out and compare the results and see what I like more.
Worst case scenario I can just refund and return it!
Muhahahahah!
Well, that’s the entire point of the policy, no idea why I am acting evil.
I got reminded of an anime that my brain automatically sorted into “that ancient era of anime” due to what I remembered of it.
The concept and general designs felt very old school so I just accepted that I was probably right.
So I went and looked it up, and it was from 2013…
That wouldn’t be too bad, if it wasn’t for the fact the top comment on the video I used to look it up was “I remembered watching this when I was 7″…
I am so tired.
It’s been really hot all day, and it’s not pleasant.
It’s still not heat death level, but just, annoyingly warm levels.
This is what the lack of cooling methods does to a person.
If only I had decent ventilation in my room, I swear.
